- Most of these clips are around 1 month old and around half of them were edited back then, that's why ESPECIALLY IN THE INTRO the text is really fast.
The ones that have lost their original framerate are about 40-50 fps and the ones that have kept it are still in 60. THIS WILL NEVER HAPPEN AGAIN.

Finally... A parry guide that teaches you how to parry multiple scavs at once! What a blessing!
Step 1: get a good ping
Step 2: parry when ur close to the scav
@@Itz_Sinny step 3: Get drop kicked by the other scavs that jumped over the parried scav
Yeah no one's ever really done something like this, that's why I wanted to make it. Glad i could help :)
@@interro588 thats a rare occassion and im not joking around thats literally the steps to parry
@@Itz_Sinny not to me huh
The Scavs' POV in this is simply the UMG newbie experience.
That is very true though
Cleaver scav fits more with this. Spam block, even when being shot at.
@@Someschmucck Even to fire to literally everything.
@@Someschmucck cleaver scav enemies that it blocks to: everything.
BLOCKING REDUCES BULLET DAMAGE IF I BELIEVE HARD ENOUGH!
"You should never use only melee to pass waves. This game was designed to be played by 5 people after all"
that one random guy wearing a bucket on his head and atomic top:
Shoves also reset the AI of an enemy so they are more likely to light attack after being shoved. Just a tip for y’all
Haven't heard that but who knows.
@@iiddfay did you know ladders bug the game
@@partypooper9732 yes i did, it was found pretty recently as well.
@@iiddfay its really fun to mess around with
@@iiddfay it wasnt found out recently but months ago bro
I swear to god, the scavs jumping over parried scavs is the most annoying thing ever. Thank you for making the guide, definitely gonna help me get out of situations like that.
the range of the scavs is insane... also the heavy attack speed acceleration
I've gotten hit so many times from that.
should be called a "lunge" by this point instead of a "heavy swing".
finally a guide where it shows you how to time your parries
Glad i could help!
I Always liked berserkers concept and wanted to play it a lot. Watched a bunch of parry guides and THEORETICALLY got decent at parrying. But then i realized that parrying groups of enemies is absolutely different than one enemy. Thank god this guide exists.
Now just need 40 hours of solo practice...
6:00 ah yes, armus extendus, the hidden scav technique passed down for generations
Yeah the game is designed to be like this so it's not impossible to solo it, pretty clever actually.
Be so fr
Always remember practice is the key to success
I can sit here talking and showing every little detail but at the end of the day you gotta do it yourself. You're absolutely right.
Yep, gotta learn through experience, get those nueron connections formed
Yeah, most of the time I find practice more helpful than tips and tricks
my toxic trait is thinking i as a beginner could do this easily (i cannot). but this is an amazing tutorial and really helpful. i found i was struggling with parries so much i just picked a ranged class LOL but this will definitely help me to learn it a ton, thank you
This guide is much appreciated. The new player experience is INCREDIBLY brutal (as it should be) and evem after pledging once Im having issues with CQC. Thanks for teaching me, now off to put these in practice!
6:00 scav range
It's designed like that so you can actually solo it without being extremely rng, imagine just moving away and a scav is ready to attack again.
Remember folks: if you play holdout mode, craft a Maria if possible, The Emperor(?) In the medieval boss wave can one shot, he deals somewhat 300+ dmg. The fracture inflicted by the Maria is level 4, it can reduce the boss dmg down to like...80% which is pretty nice
This will work on any axe or blunt weapons with 200% wounding rate
@@wayneyourname7749Blueprints weapons are more accessible in Holdout tho
This can also work with firerier
If you want to frontline in holdout, get a lazarus, use dependable, fearless, methodfical, and get a decimator.
The deci is the most important part because people will steal your kills before meleeing them
lead pipe can do same fracture if trust to wiki
honestly amazing tutorial, I've been practicing melee combat in solo matches and I've been seeing some big improvements
One day I'll get good enough at this to carry waves with beserker or executioner alone. Thanks for the helpful guide
You are very welcome, this is what i strive for.
Love how when I kept playing this game before, I was literally like a parry god, but when I stopped playing for like almost 5 months and returned, I deadass sucked again
to the guys who are wondering: "how do you parry with "none" or the tanto"
welp he is using a trait called "honerd" whitch allowes you to parry with every melle weapon encluding your hands. (tanto is a reskin of that. if you wanna get tanto search for a tutorial)
for a backliner that very rarely parries and wants to get every mastery, this really helped me , i dont die that often anymore and can get to wave 9. very cool.
*Perk has left the chat*
Short tip:Kiting easiest to do with vagabond sword as it has (atleast I think) the longest melee range
Also spin around the enemy and spam f
Also something that nobody asked for but I said it anyway
The comment was said by a vagabond, berserker, riskrunner, arbiter main
I'm a no lifer
This is for those who are not playing Vagabond or any other perk that makes melee extremely easy.
funny thing is that I view vagabond as a guy who both wields a sword and a gun, so technically a modern day samurai
@@iiddfay Those perks are:
• Vagabond (duh)
• Berserker (haha funny big damage go bonk)
• Executioner (mfw 2 shotting sicklers)
• Arbiter (haha funny projectile boost go ULTRAKILL)

as a person who doesnt like using gunds im really happy to see a guide like this tysm
Thanks for the helpful guide! I can now avoid consistently dying on the first wave.
yo wait that intro was insane, you offed yourself on beat and that really reminds you of the dark story behind decaying winter
these tips are very crucial for executioner mains like me.
Glad i could help then.
Good parry guide this good because I always run up at the scavs in waves and nights because I have 0 chill sometime i do block and shove thank god you made this video
One thing that helps against parry scavs is actually having a higher ping due to the scav only reacting with the parry after your attack registers the damage
This does only work well if you are killing the parry scav in that attack
W video, its great, it will help newbies and other dw players!
That was what I'm aiming for
Me watching Decaying Winter tutorials even tough i can't play it cuz i don't have a PC: *F A S C I N A T I N G*
When you got pc and memorize the game mechanics you are a Legend
THANK YOU FOR TEACHING SQ's CQC
SUBBED AND LIKED
This is actually so helpful holy kiting used to be so hard this helps so much Tysm 😭 (yes ik how to parry just had trouble kiting like this)
Imagine a novice soloing sq and going back to base like nothing happed
Thanks for the guide btw it really helped me
as an arbiter main who already was great at parrying single enemies and for crowds using my longshot, sadly i didint find this video of much help, but its a great vid still, hope many players can learn from this!
thank you this is a really good video it will help a lot
yippee it’s finally here!!!
Another thing when fighting grouped enemies without strong melees (tier 3, 4, or workbench crafted) is that most weapons inflict debuffs.
Blades and spears apply bleed (damage over time), axes and blunt weapons inflict fracture and cripple (slower melee attack speed, lower melee damage, increased bullet spread with gun scavs) (lower movement speed).
When not having enough window for a heavy blow or a combo, spreading the debuffs on multiple scavs could either deal extra chip damage or weaken them for less punishment for mistakes.
Very well said, although most spears kite in this game so this mostly applies to knives and blades overall.
@@iiddfay to be honest, spears like yari, pike, and flagpole are... *COUGH!*
I'm in school as this is released. Glad to finally see it come out lol
Well if you decide to skip class i suppose this should keep you busy (I do not condone skipping classes i have to say this because of cancelling, I am toootally famous enough to be cancelled lmao).
nice guide, but I think you missed a few things like how you can shove a scav after being grappled in short window of time, when your ping is above 200, scavs have extended melee reach, Having even higher ping or when Roblox servers start acting up Scavs might have their animation not match up with the server, and running around the red crate thingy can help in lining up multi parries (although some scavs might go the other way if they stray to far from the group)
I can't really teach ping since it's not supposed to be played like this. With high ping you can also kite scavs with 150% range weapons, some people use it but in my opinion that is cringe.
@@iiddfay Yeah that’s true but it’s helpful to know though as no one really talks about it, not everyone has the best Wi-Fi connection but your parry guide is still really good, regardless of ping (The Ping stuff is like a small tip you only pick up after playing DW for a decent amount of time and knowing them can mean the difference between getting smacked by a extended hit or parrying the attack)
@@touhoumomo Even if i were to teach them, how would I get ping intentionally?
@@iiddfay usually moving far away from the router or have other devices/google tabs use up lots of bandwidth does the trick (recording dw on a Saturday at peak hours also works too)
*plays with 250-300 average ping*
"whats the problem?"

Thank you so much!
It’s finally here
This is gonna be well helpful when I man up and play solo more.
^-^👌
Why do I feel so much motivation after seeing this video...
I haven't played dw for almost a month.
You just learned a whole new part of the game you'd never seen before thats why.
@@iiddfay ofc i only played artrillist since dw so yeah
thanks bro for the parry tips 👍
Even as a teir 7 player i still find this helpful
bro is so calm fighting 5 people at once
Thank u bro this helped me so much
That's what i strive for.
very helpful guide for a 20+ tier player
my guy casually kills sq with artery, what a gamer :D
You can possibly hit when backpedaling most Scav Range Unit have attack range up to 130 or 40 since most melee have attacking range about 120 to 200 like me I always had a Maria and its range is about 150 and its pretty risky and o so rewarding if you go for heavy blows whem back pedaling but bewarned when using heaby attack your walkspeed is slown down even when charging up your heavy attack so I chosed the only trait thay can negate so I can bashing jeads long enough to do so also back pedal kiting is where can be used
One problem I don’t want to get stage 2 while fighting wave 1 scavs because I need to wait for just the right moment
7:54 practicing this is actually pretty useful but you just gotta hope a scav doesn't get in the way
Thanks for the vid
hot damn that's a top tier thumbnail

dayum i gotta note this
thank you gentleman
You are very welcome.
Well even if I'm 11 I'm still learning new things at this game, i guess this game is fun the longer you stay, Thank you for the melee guide now i will try 1v1 the sledge mommy with only fist.
for the kiting tutorial, wouldnt it be better to use a heavy attack against scavs who can parry? since they usually only parry after taking damage
Yes you can, i actually forgot to mention that, good point.
parry scavs wont parry if you run headfirst into them, theyll just do a light hit
so if you wanna group parry with parry scavs in the way try just running targetting them as your parry-target :D
Absolutely helpful guide detailed to actually survive multiple scavs and sq solo,
tho i have rather high ping so i need to parry earlier.
Ty legend I have learned alot today
You are very welcome.
i killed a sledger by shoving using the knife auxilliary, does that count as a good enough kill?
as a former riskrunner main now an apostle main i do not need to parry im just gonna use my abilities to stun them for quite abit and daves can kill scavs
One of my cqc is that scav animation maybe be so rude so i get confused. And when im enter in range of scav that can parry we both parry each other but he is hit me faster.
Even trying to kite that can parry just Heavy attack (Needed a full Hunger Bar to maximise damage output)also fast scav like spec and scissor are quite fast they hop on one being parried and land a fast light blow wjen your back is turned you can make space by going space kiting its very few berserker trying to make space room you can backpedal and retaliate its one only use lile backpedaling on Mordhau Chivalry and Demoknights when you kite bait them by making them the first to go in
Scav AK are our worst enemy and sometimes annoying to counter we are the Bane of the Melee Scavs but AK scav are the Bane of Melee they usually made a better sustained fire and cam backpedal faster than the range scavs some AK scav are quite deadly they can be very persistent if you lire them inside the base and followed up when theyre out of the safe area is the contaminated outside area
normal people: blockes with weapon. this guy: takes 70 stabs to the arm from multiple armed people
Hey, so quick question that is somewhat releated to the video. What is your favorite crafted melee?
Hmmmm depends on builds and perks but I think I overall like the Firerer axe more. It's the most underrated thing in the entire game, only costs you 50 scrap, kills almost anything even with reduced melee damage which allows for much easier wins with supports and backlines. Yeah I'd go with it.
i tried and fail parry i go with guid and they attack through parry idk how or why but i just can't parry good.
What's the name of the Song the Guy with the Bass is Playing?
CQC expert that beat sq with lead pipe
Very useful guide!
Thanks! I'm glad i could help.
Yeah I made someone rage quit because I'm too bad at the game XD
@@earthkung1218 Oh god...
See, I would love to use this, but I use berserker and I tank damage like I'm a wall, so I would like you do do a class guide so I can see how to master berserker without needing a good weapon
scavs really hit like mini pekka in cr huh
Instructions unclear. Died to storm.
finally
finally now i can actually kill sq with berserker without spamming right mouse button
If you wanna kill her with billhook to spam right click, pay attention to when she longshots. If you stun her she has a good chance of parrying afterwards, just do it with whatever melee now that you know how she works. Glad i could help!
also if you have trouble turn down the music folume a bit so you can hear some indicators
1:22 teacher the test is not that hard the test:
i love this game and I want to improve, but I'm having some trouble with my fps as I don't have any gpu
Anyways, great video!
you know whats funny torturing a pitchfork
scav with fists until he dies (i use honorable trait and sometimes scraps melee weapons until i realize i cant craft quiver without melee weapon because getting salvage with fists is slow)
thanks now i can carry with damned :D
to spot hidden you can laz ability it/burn him with fire bomb
Berzerk mains, write this down.. you'll need it
thats actually useful tho, didnt know that i can parry with my back
just a quick question regarding about the current dw and SQ, you shown both of SQ's shellshots are shove-able, but i just wanna know, can you counter shove her shove too?, i wanna test it out myself but as of the moment i really can't, these past months ive been tryna practice sq with hipfiring an akm and its always the shoves that gets me,i wanna know if its an issue with my timing or is it the game's fault, cause its genuinely frustrating
If you wanna create what I call a "stalemate", which is by shoving the exact moment after an enemy grapples you, yes you can do that, but it won't help much. Unless you learn it well enough to be able to shove the next attack but that timing is insane, I'd use a cbstm or something.
thanks for replying but wait i think i didnt explain it properly, i meant when she gets the red glow, since as i was doing back then, i was trying to shove her during the anim she dones't get shoved, comparing that to her doing shellshots she does get shoved, and as i said on my original comment that's what always causes me to lose the fight
@@hyashi5237 You can only parry such attacks. Shoving doesn't work.
15:34 If I do that, my teammates wonder why I'm fighting nothing and losing
impact grenade moment
Wow! what a wonderful video! too bad i'll never use it because i main riskrunner
FINALLY
HUGE UNDERSTATEMENT. I was about to lose the video 2 times from being completely stupid. Thankfully that wasn't the case.
good vid
I've learned abit
Thanks! That's what I strive for.
So I'm guessing violent tendencies is a need for Sledge Queen?
1:17 the timing
"man, this video is so useful!! i'll get into DW again!!"
5000ms ping
"nevermind"
what traits did you use?
best decaying winter content creator
Wait what's the timing on the first shellshot? after you lure her so you can practice (I keep getting screwed over from the first shot and can't figure out the timing, or is that part just reaction based?)
The very first shortshell is purely reaction times if that's what you mean, however the longshot is always timed.
So after shortshell one, it's just Longshots, right? Its just that she uses them at close range? (Doesn't really make a difference. I just want to understand what attacks she uses after the shortshell, if it's Longshot or just short range because I keep losing my head before I can tell)
Sorry if this was confusing, I overthink things a lot

BRUH... range hax on those scavs
what treats do you have?
The decaying winter of let me solo her
Exactly, this is why we love soloing.
Is there like a sound effect when they attack? Or is this man parrying without looking at all
As far as sounds go you really only have the scavs missing an attack and them being parried.
