The guy at the grocery was super helpful to them. It makes me happy to know that there are people to help the blind with stuff like that.
Yes, it's great that there are people who help out like that! I'd love a job like that. ♡
Accessibility for people with disabilities is actually legally required in all public spaces so it’s not that this guy is being nice enough to help he’s actually required to.
@@sandrarodriguez-db6xs You must be fun at parties
i hope it wasn’t just for the camera
It's required but never have I been trained on how to help customers with disablilites like blindness when I worked in any customer service jobs like the Grocery Store.
The brother is so freaking sweet♥️ when he told her he hadn’t forgot her face, and said, “I know you’re beautiful;” that was so beautiful. He was so patient with teaching her and answering questions. I love their relationship😍
That part gave me the feels
I was in tears 😭
I had the feels when he said that in a good way though and again Ioved how he always made sure she was safe when they were out and about. His eyesight may be gone but his protective big brother instincts are still there.

Someone give Blake a raise. He was the real MVP in this video
He was so real. I worked in customer service and always took the extra time to help people with disabilities. My favorite was a guy that was deaf. We wrote all kind of stuff in his notebook. Gotta have compassion. Blake is a real one.
The thing they talked about with being sleepier than people who perceive light was something I NEVER thought about. Wow
Me either. That was a new perspective
It’s a perspective only someone who could see before and became blind could say. Those born blind don’t have an idea of what it’s like
yeah my mom went blind and i always wondered why she fell asleep so often, now i i know why
Even though he is impaired he still makes sure she’s okay no matter what
Well that’s the thing, he may be blind, but this is his life. And just like she would look out for him in a seeing world, he’d look out for her in a blind world.
Being a big brother doesn't stop just because you no longer possess eyesight
Brother first, blind person second.
@@wwaxwork A trillion percent agree
No
My grandpa was blind. Sometimes, I would walk around with my eyes closed, trying to do the most mundane things.
I never lasted more than a few minutes.
Blind people are amazing and fearless
truly
I think that's where the blindfold comes in handy. She can't easily "give up" and take a peek. I suspect you could last longer than you think, but you'd need to let yourself be pressed into it. To HAVE to figure it out.
I take showers in the complete dark maybe I should try doing everything for a day with my eyes closed or blindfolded to see what it’s like to be blind
He's a gentleman, I love their dynamic, I love family, this was sweet.
I don't know why I've never considered that an attendant at grocery stores would have to help them. I also never considered how they'd know if meat is done cooking or not. Learning new things everyday lol.
Yeah! It made me think more about how much information you'd really have to hold in your brain. I don't know off of the top of my mind how long it takes to cook turkey but I get now how important that is. Also with the passage of time itself. It all makes me appreciate technology a bit more, too.
Now that is wholesome content!
you can tell the genuine bond they have and how the sisters truly cares for him, and the way the brother seems to be biting his tongue with some of the questions, even though he may be feeling a certain way he's just accepted his new life and is grateful for the experience.
Give that clerk a raise
Yeah, that dude was lovely
BLAKE! The employee at that grocery store! He deserves the world! Such a kind and patient and smart individual. I hope Blake gets his karmic return ❤️
As a blind person I think everyone should do this so they can get an idea of what we have to go through on a daily basis.
very cool username by the way :)
For someone who claims to be blind, you sure do have a suspiciously large amount of movies and video trailers favorites on your profile.
How did you type this?
@@sophieghaffari9006 speech to text is a thing
How did you see the video? (no disrespect, I'm just curious)
Oh wow! Her asking if he remembers what she looked like made me cry! I would feel the same as her. Great video. Thank you!
Agree with that comment 😏👌🆗🆒💯‼️‼️‼️
My partner went blind during our relationship, so this video hits close to home. Adjusting to that new normal is HARD. Most people don't really know how to interact with him like a normal person and he's even been harassed because of his visual impairment. It's heartwarming to see a mainstream youtube channel like Cut spreading awareness and humanizing blind people, not treating them like objects of pity.
If you don’t mind me asking , what caused him to go blind . That’s honestly sounds so terrifying
@@nyshnysha We found out he had brain tumors around his optic nerves and he lost his vision during the surgery when they were removed.
@@xena439 I'm so sorry to hear that.. my prayer for you both
@@MrNavien Thank you. I really appreciate that. :)
@@xena439 Welcome.. Huggies
Him telling her he knows she’s beautiful made me tear 😢
That's an amazing brother and sister right there. She tries her best to understand what her brother is going through with his impairment in his life and the brother always make sure that his sister is okay. And there's not enough credit was given to the grocery store employee on how helpful and friendly he is. Everyone in this video gave me pure joy and happiness and ensures me that humanity still exists.
The Cut as brutally honest as it can be sometimes constantly reminds me that humanity is beautiful despite all the darkness and nastiness we can bring about at times
My dad is legally blind, and has been for over 20 years from a medical issue. I was 8 or 9 when he lost his vision. When the sister in this video asked if her brother remembered what she looked like, I actually had to pause the video and cry. In all of the time I've spent with my dad, I always think about this. He hasn't *seen* me since I was a literal child. But I've been in the same house as him every day for the last 20 years, and I wonder if he wonders what I look like.
Love this video. More people need more empathy and understanding of what people with disabilities go through on a day to day basis.
One thought as a parent myself (though I'm not blind) is that no matter what you physically look like you'll be beautiful to him. He sees your beauty through your actions, your words and just truth who you are as a person. I personally care more about who my daughters are in their heart and mind, their physical looks are really not that important to me, though they will always be gorgeous to me. Your father may not be able to physically see you but he still sees you as you are
@@katie85705 i appreciate this. i mostly wonder this because I'm covered in tattoos and have abnormally dyed hair. I wonder if this is an image my dad expected from me at some point. He knows I have neon hair and some tattoos, but I don't think he'd ever really understand the intensity of it all. Just a curiosity thing for me, more than anything. Definitely appreciate this reply.
🥺 he said I know you still beautiful I teared up ain’t gonna lie 😩
I’m so proud of my friend and former Mobility student! Several years ago, Donnie attended training at WA State Dept. of Services for the Blind in Seattle and I taught him Orientation & Mobility. I’m so glad to see this! Lately, I’ve been wondering how Donnie is doing and what a wonderful video this is. What a worthwhile endeavor for his sister to spend some quality time with her brother. When I was working with him, everywhere we went on public transportation, to stores, etc. people knew him and would say hello. I kept telling him he should be the mayor! Kudos to everyone involved in this, especially Donnie, who has an amazingly positive disposition. I couldn’t be prouder to know him and have worked with him.♥️ David Friedman, Mobility Specialist, Orientation Training Center (OTC), WA DSB
We need to give our boy Blake a raise I have never seen that happen in my state ever so for him to take his time was so heartwarming. I know that this may be a normal for people that have visual disabilities but wow that is so nice to see. And he low key looked like he was about to tell that guy off that bumped into her but he kept his cool and kept up his good attitude and great help
Yes about the guy that runs into someone that can’t see due to the very visible and enormous mask on her face!? I mean stop and apologize at least! Wow
As a blind man, his drip is on point!
wait huh? how are you blind but can see his outfit? maybe I'm just dumb but can you tell me?
they’re talking about even though the guy in the video is blind his fashion sense is still good

Okay okay yall made a brutha cry, damn this was unexpected.
Wow, this was precious. I love their relationship, and my heart melted when Donnie said, “I still remember what you look like. I know you're beautiful.” I know he doesn't always have a positive attitude, but I admire the way he moves through life-a reminder to count my blessings.
Its literally so wholesome and kinda sad at the same time and I love how her brother always made sure she was okay :)
this was *ironically* eye opening i loved it :) and im sure its definitely gonna make people understand that blind people are not helpless beings, like they are usually seen
I love their relationship
It would definitely be a more interesting world if we all took the time to experience someone else's reality, even if only for a little while.
Watch SEE
gotta be honest, sometimes this channel gets cringy, but this might be the best video I've ever seen on here.
101% agreed. Super heartfelt..
Awesome video. He's a good big brother He helped her and protected her a lot when she was outside because she seemed a little scared, but when they got home he pushed her to be independent to see what it's really like. It was all very cute to watch. Also, shout out to Ralph who assessed the brownness of the meat 😂
This video is so wholesome especially the part where he says to put his hand on his shoulder
shout out to the grocery store dude for actually being nice and helping out
Donnie is one of the most beloved humans in the amazing city of Seattle before and during his life being blind. I’m blessed with the pleasure to know him! Keep inspiring bro! #SeattleLivingLegend
I almost cried like 3x while watching this at the gym. You can tell that they really love each other. I have a brother that once stayed by my bed when I was in a coma and when i recovered we came so much closer.
The young man at the grocery store was amazing I work in the medical field and absolutely love helping ppl. Does not matter where I work I love helping ppl to the best of my ability. This is so wholesome !! 🙌🏾❤️🥰
this one made me cry a lot, but i loved it soo much. soo necessary to witness
I had to make sure I wasn’t the only one😭
Sister: I feel bad bc I have the option now to go back and live my normal life and you don't.
Brother: Well this is my normal life
I loved this. Looking forward to more videos in this series. I love seeing representation of what a day in the life is like for differently-abled individuals because I don't know very many in my day to day. Seeing different experiences and unique hardships is what makes people more compassionate and empathetic.
I love this so much made me cry when he said he knew she was beautiful
Couldn't help but cry, definitely touches the heart
When he was like “this is my normal life” I started crying. My uncle is blind so it would definitely be interesting to see what he goes through on a day to day.
The guy helping him in the store is super cool too! Damn I teared up.
That was powerful. Well done!
If I ever gonna become blind, I'm just gonna try and live a very optimistic life, also, I'll say to everyone " I'll believe it when I see it" :))
Don't wait for a disability to live an optimistic life
I really appreciate you all for this video. Especially the brother and sister for being so vulnerable. I had major knee surgery last month and have to use a wheelchair outside of the house if I’m going shopping or something. I have to keep my leg a certain way so crutches aren’t a reasonable option. Well while going shopping the amount of people who just pretend like I wasn’t there and blocked me or cut me off causing me to stop quickly jerking my whole body causing severe pain to my knee was ridiculous. Only one person apologized. That apology validated my feelings and made me feel seen. I felt so invisible and so horrible. I almost broke down crying in the middle of target cause it was happening so much. We need more recognition on how people with disabilities live. All of my disabilities are invisible so no one notices. But as soon as I had a visible disability I was ignored and treated as less than human. I’m no stranger to ableism and I think a good way to fight it is to make more videos like this. You’re showing us as people, who we are, how we live. You’re humanizing us to people who normally would ignore us or even say/do something to harm us. Thank you Cut. Please make more of these with other disabilities including invisible disabilities.
"do you remember what i look like?
"yeah"
"has it faded?"
"No ! I know you beautiful"
my heart..
This is a great video. Enjoyed every bit
I cried when she asked if he could remember her face. this is one of the best videos you guys have done in a long time for many reasons
He’s such a sweetie pieeee
I went to school with Donnie and we are in the same friend group. it amazes me how aware he is of his surroundings when I’m around him
Hey there! I’m a film student at UMiami and we’re currently casting for our short film. I think Donnie would be a great fit for the lead. Is there a way I could share the casting call with you or him if he’s interested?
Damn Cut always outdoing yourselves!! I'm gonna love this series!!
I grew up with this cat and man he came a long way. Y’all should have seen him play ball. Boy used to hoop his ass off
This is beautiful, he is such an inspiration and so is the sister! Just beautiful!
This was so sweet to watch and Donnie has such a beautiful heart. I lost my older brother 3 years ago and this just reminded me of the love we shared. More wholesome content like this, pls!
I love how Blake is so kindd
The number of additional considerations that go into a daily experience for a person who is blind is important to see. Acknowledging how a dial for a stove works similar to a clock, using FaceTime to have someone make sure the food is cooked. The innovations to make life more accessible is extremely important. I hope more people continue to make accessibility a priority for all.
I just occurred to me how useful an induction stovetop would be for a blind person from a safety perspective. Since the surface doesn’t get hot, it’s safer to feel around and/or drop spill something if you don’t notice it dropping.
There are so many things that they are useful for. Anyone with tremors (ie:Parkinson's), people with small children, and wheelchairs are safer,. When I got diagnosed with Epilepsy we got one immediately even. They are so fantastic in so many ways.
this is so beautiful, you can truly feel the love and care they have for each other
this looks so interesting to watch
not Cut making me cry...
This is so sweet. Love the grocery store shopping. So great to see this from the perspective of a sighted person.
This is so awesome! I love how he was asking her to follow him. So caring
Lordy why y’all almost have me crying while I’m sitting waiting for my car to be serviced. This is sibling love! Thanks for sharing this. ❤️❤️
This was so wholesome, absolutely teared up...
The guy in the grocery store was super helpful and sweet, what a awesome chap.
I love the chemistry between these guys, so much love for each other. With love like that, anything could be overcome.
Great video!!! Emotional though we take something like sight for granted but it’s so valuable
I’m one minute in, and I am already crying. I’m glad you guys did this video
This video made me so appreciative of my health, and the fact I have the ability to see and hear. Sometimes I forget how unpredictable life is and in an instant all those things can be taken away from you, but you still have to persevere and keep living. Thank you for this video
I cried the entire time this is so sweet may god bless them specially the brother
Loved everything about this……helped further renew my faith in humankind. Props to the friend/fam Donnie called and without hesitation he told him how much time he had left on the ground meat 😍😍.
Everything about this video gave me renewed hope and joy for life... Also I found myself thinking over and over, Donnie is so handsome and caring to his sister but still very matter of fact in his attitude. He's giving.. my type. I might have to make my way to NY and hope to bump into him literally lmao he seems more enjoyable to talk to then every seeing man i know..
LOVED the video. It came up on my page on TikTok and I had to come watch the whole thing. Such a beautiful brother and sister-both inside and out. 💕
Such strong feels in this I teared up several times.
I think they’re relationships is beautiful and also letting her in and giving her a chance to experience and gain perspective was a amazing and an eye opener
"The blind leading the blind" taken to a new level😃
“do you remember what I look like” yeahh that hit hard🥺 this was beautiful to see❤️
I’m definitely crushing on Dom. ❤️
Loved this vid, Blake’s a RockStar!!🤟🏾 That’s the same way I used to feel shooting at a family style portrait studio. I had a lot of loyal customers, but 2 couples in particular that were hearing impaired would only let their kids be shot be me because they dug my energy and I always made them feel welcomed/normal. We all have our differences but that’s no reason to make anyone feel down or weird. Spread Love, Blesss.
THIS IS WHAT CZcams NEEDS MORE OF!!!! Some insight to the struggles of what of people deal with on a daily basis. Don’t take your life for granted and cherish those around you. LOVE ONE ANOTHER!
this made me cry, so beautiful
I absolutely love this channel. This is such wholesome content. I love their relationship.
Shout out to the shop attendant for being so damn nice!
Cut is serving up some wholesome AF content.
Such a humble person! Love his attitude and humor
I loved this! Donnie is so cute! love their relationship.
In as much as his sister was having a hard time, it was clear that she tried so hard not to comment on how difficult it was for her and thats adorable. Dom is also one very strong brother. Very tough.
I absolutely loved this video but better yet I loved the man at the grocery store. He was so patient and kind with both of them 🥺
The editing of this video was very impressive to previous Cut videos ive seen, it was very entertaining to watch!
Such an eye opening video, seeing is something a lot of people take for granted.
Makes me cherish my sight and hearing 🙏🏽 what a good video
This brought a tear to my eye I have never really put much thought I to what it must be like to be blind you have to have people you trust around you im gonna try it for a hour
This is the one of the most important videos Cut has ever produced, seriously. I enjoy the content in general -- it's funny, shocking, entertaining.. we understand the kind of content Cut usually produces, but also what the viewers typically expect as well. But this? This is video filled with compassion, understanding, love, and humanity. A perspective, however brief, of what people live with every day. The end of this video was really touching.. because while I may not have any blind people in my family, I could put myself in Dom's shoes in that moment about how unfair it is that she just gets to go back to her normal life. This video may not get the number of views some of the other normal content gets, but I think is this in the top 3 best videos Cut has done this entire year and is one of my favorites in its history. You should be proud of this video. Well done, Cut.
i’m blind in one eye and your learn to live with it but its hard to think about what life would be like without both , i can’t even imagine it so major major major props to bro fr 🤞🏽 one day imma invent something that cures this for everybody !
❤️🥺 I love this and the store clerk was so kind and helpful.
The clerk did an amazing job. It shows how selfless he is
this made me so emotional.
I think this is the best CUT video ever! Love everything about it
cried now that just puts the icing on the cake for the rest of the week. emotions every where🥺❤️🩹. the fact she considered his feelings once it was time for her remove it💔
I love this! In school when I was in 7th grade we had an experience like this, to see what it’s like to be blind for the whole class hour like 30mins
These two are amazing people, so authentic
This was an awesome video. Two amazing people.
My 57 y.o. mom lost her vision out of the blue recently and it's been hard for everyone to cope, because she's such a sweet person, and it's just so random. But she still does pretty good with memory and accessible technology & she gets around fine. People with disabilities are just regular people we need to respect them as such.
Such a gentleman 🧡 he inspired me
This video was so beautiful and even with his own Challenges he made sure that she was with him every step of the way that’s beautiful 😍
