How in the hell do you deck out indoors from the last move? In the gyms I climb in that would require like at least 3-4 biners to fail or unclip. Or a really, really shit belayer.
This video annoyed me for some reason. Just seemed like a man showing off he could solo routes the average person would have to do in a traditional style. He even refers to a friend of his that broke his arm and then proceeds to solo that route. All seems an ego exercise and was difficult to watch
Hey. Thanks for your feedback. It means a lot when people take the trouble to respond, and I'd prefer negative feedback than just indifference. I know what you mean, it's pretty annoying sometimes, I filmed a guy climb an E7 and to descend instead of abbing off he solo down-climbed an HVS (a route I would have found a challenge to climb up) I let him know how insulted I was - I laughed, he laughed we all laughed. I hope, however, that it's more of an inspiration, not to solo routes that are beyond you but to see what's possible. My leading improved by filming people climbing really hard stuff, not to the lofty heights of E7 or beyond but I went from comfortably climbing E1 to comfortably 'having a go' at E3/4, just because these titans gave me some confidence. But yeah I agree, I hate them too, making us normal people feel incapable of meeting such lofty ambition 😂. Thanks again
