I love baby BTS! They started out taking on societal norms & expectations. And they've never stopped self-examination. The early mvs truly reveal how extraordinary they are.
Their old music still slaps to this day. I like to call their discography "timeless", because the songs really don't get old when you listen to them again & again. Their songwriting, strong messages and passionate performances have been consistent from the very beginning. I hope you enjoy checking out their albums because it really is a treat going through them and hearing the different sounds & also noticing how their voices get even better as the years go by! :) Thanks for the video! 💜

The lack of subtitles was actually a great motivator for ARMY. As soon as a song was released, bilingual ARMYs would get busy working on producing lyric videos and mv videos with subtitles. It was one of the things that brought them together and created community in the early years.
I would highly recommend watching the dance practices for these early songs....especially Danger. It's is amazing to see just how precise their every movement was right from the beginning.....difficult and perfection...must see the full dance. ARMY grandma
Danger has always been one of my favorite dances they do.
N.O is a title track from their second comeback and timeline wise is between the debut songs No more dream and We are bulletproof pt 2 and the next come back Boy in Love and danger. It is one of my fave’s and the lyrics convey a very good message, worth checking out 😅

You have to watch all dance practices for thess songs! You will see what "In SYNC" literally means. They were amazing from the beginnin, and had more agressive move! If you have no enough time, then watch Boy in Luv or Danger at least!!! 😆😆

Jin, V, and Jimin all had much rougher-style voices as baby Bangtan. Their personalities weren't that different, though-- if you watch the making-of for Boy in Luv, Jin apologized profusely to the actress for pushing her against the lockers and kept checking to make sure she was all right after they finished filming that scene. Sweetheart then, sweetheart now.
I'll also add... Danger was the song that clinched it for me and made me ARMY. 😁😎💜
(You should also check out the Danger (Mo Blue Mix), where they sing it with Thanh, the guy that wrote it. TOTALLY different mood, JUST as cool.)

I like how you do reactions. You comment on the video, music & lyrics. You pause when you comment, which means that we can hear you & you don't miss anything. You are not afraid to go back & see something or clarify a lyric. We are watching to see your reaction, not the video. For the 'don't pause' crowd, they should just give MV the views. I haven't found many female reactors who don't squeal, scream, or melt into a puddle when their bias comes on. My ears can't handle it. I like people to be excited about BTS, but if they scream at every video, I can't deal with it. I really like your reactions.
Danger rotates within my top 3, depending upon my mood. Right now, it's 'ON', Danger, then Mic Drop. It's been those 3 since ON dropped. They just change order based on my mood.

oh yes! they did We Are Bulletproof pt. 2 on MAMA 2019 and did Boy In Luv on MMA 2019.. so freaking cool!
They did in October 2020 in their Map of the Soul 7 ONE concert too! :)
The first 2 videos were their debut videos back in 2013. Namjoon, Yoongi could rap and Jhope learned to rap. Only Jungkook could sing. Seokjin, Jimin and Taehyung had to learn from scratch. The only dancers were Jhope and Jimin both new hip hop. Only Jimin had a contemporary background. Honestly they truly worked so hard in order to debut. To this day I think they have the hardest choreography in all of Kpop. Just my opinion. I enjoyed your reaction! I don't think some of the guys were comfortable with their asthetis but that was what they were originally aiming for. Wings era was my introduction to Bts back in 2016. Note: Jimin finally received professional singing lessons 10 years later at 26yo in 2022. He sang those first few years basically untrained. Years later Jungkook taught him a certain amount. Now Jimin is finally able to train properly.
@Gabbsi Reactions, lol, every time I see this music video baby BTS I start to laugh , the style of clothing is like 90’s early 2000! Rap Monster(RM) hair like a high top fade (Kid’N Play ) if you know you know what I’m talking about!
Their ages at the debut of this were RM 19, Jin 21, Suga 20, J-Hope 19, JiMin 18, V 17, JungKook 15!? I might be a little bit off on their ages but I’m pretty sure that’s close to their ages!?

Yeah, girl their old music slaps too! I feel like BTS does a lot of everlasting songs. I've been an army for almost 7 years and I never get tired of their songs and If I kind of do just bc I was playing it on repeat, then I listen to it again weeks or months later and it feels just like the first time and I get obsessed again lol
This is also why we went crazy for the song Run BTS. They went so HARD. They still do, like Ugh and On.
I watched No More Dream early in my ARMYhood (2 yrs ago) and it was a little hard to connect with the video because they were so different and didn’t seem like themselves. Now I watch it with *enormous* affection for those kids who had no idea what was to come and who have grown into 7 men I love with my whole heart.
Danger is such a banger…but yes, all these older songs are DOPE. 😆

I started stanning BTS in September 2013, right before their O!RUL8,2? album came out, so my first comeback with them was N.O. I highly recommend checking out that music video, because it speaks HELLA facts about the education system and to this day I love it so much. Their older songs are honestly just as good to me as their newer stuff. Also, even their b-side tracks are all SO amazing, there is not ONE BTS song that I don't like. If you ever decide to do full album listens, like listening to their discography in order, I would love to see videos like that if you'd ever want to. 😊💜
Also, fun fact: V was wearing a wig for the hair cutting scene so he wouldn't cut his real hair, but when V cut his wig in the end of the Danger music video, he accidentally cut his real hair anyways along with it and was like, NOOOOO! 🤣

honestly even if their visuals and 'personas' that they were putting on are cute and funny to look back on, the music never misses. I initially made assumptions of what their old music would be like but it's all genuinely so good and I love it so much more than I ever could've expected

Early Bangtan is JUST as good in my opinion. It's just a different period in their life so they're speaking about different things.
I suggest you take a look at the Mo Blue Remix of Danger! They did a music video with Mo Blue and it's one of my very favorite things!

I don't get lot of "army" calling their older releases cringe. You have to see these songs from a 2013 lens & not 2020s lens. Apart from lyrics, the music sonically itself was & is very good as it is a direct throwback to 90s hiphop scene(especially no more dream) which the boys wanted to utilise for their debut as Hip Hop is their roots!
I personally feel these earlier releases are gems each of its own!

Watch the live stages of these songs! A must need
"Don't give up on your dreams" WAS rebelling against expectations, when you were expected to study hard, get into the right school, the right job, the right class of society... early Bangtan was solidly hiphop. And I think debut Jimin was leaning pretty heavily into the stereotype of the Busan tough (but cute!) bad boy.
Their early albums, though... usually when I get into a band and go back to listen to their early stuff, I can TELL it's their early stuff. There are usually a few good hits-- the things that fortell what they're going to be come-- but there are just as often a lot of misses, songs that were kind of experimental, or still finding their sound, or popular at the time but just kinda cringe now.
Early Bangtan... doesn't have that. The sound is different, a lot heavier into the hiphop vibe, and certainly the themes match their younger age, but it still sounds like them. There are MAYBE one or two songs that are less polished, (and there are skits, which I think were a thing back in the day but not so much now), but in general their early albums are TIGHT and chock full of bangers. At least some of it was probably due to Bang PD's experienced ear, but early Bangtan was AWESOME. Had I found them earlier, I'm pretty sure I still would've been a fan.
You should check out the most recent performances of these songs. It's interesting to see how Jimin does them, he's the Jimin we know now but he still has that bad boy performance that fits the song but it doesn't come of like he's being fake, idk if that makes sense.

The 1st song was We Are Bulletproof 2 which is pre debut.
They are good since their beginnings! I reacted the same like you when I heard those songs by the first time hehehe You will be enchanted with N.O. (No offense) because its strong message against the Korean educational system.
All of their albums are conceptual masterpieces. They are storytellings and do it sooo well! Since I fell into this rabbit hole I found not even one bad song.
I would love to hear them doing songs like those again...
Ah! There is a version of Danger where they sing with a Vietnamese singer... it's a very very good version!!

In Boy In Luv's intro, if you noticed, there was also another BTS"s old song - the one that made me in love with them back in the days - "Just One Day". I'd love to see your reaction on it, both for the MV's and also a performance.
This was the start of the BTS genre. And it really showed that that the lyrics of all their songs are important.

Honestly I can’t wait for the MMA and MAMA performances some of these songs in them 😅 I remember at one point they were watching these and RM (I believe, may have been a diff member) said they had such fire in their eyes and V replied “it’s the eyeliner” 💀
I wasn’t around when they first started but when I started to listen to their back catalogue I loved it. Wait until you watch the Danger dance practice. And pointing out the lyrics, you see Namjoon’s poetic influence already. So much talent just right out of the gate. I think they received so much hatred from the industry so early because they too saw the immense talent & suspected these guys would blow away any competition.
