Interested to know how you get on with 2 android phones. The connection between my Yaris Cross and mine and my wife's phones seems completely random. Sometimes it'll recognise my phone, sometimes my wife's, sometimes neither. Sometimes will run Android auto automatically, but it sometimes has to be prompted. Any experience of this?
Unfortunately I have no experience of trying to use 2 phones with my Yaris. Only my Android phone is used with my car. When I first got my car sometimes my phone would not connect. I then got an update in December 23 which included improvements to the way that Smart Connect connects to phones. My own experience is that this update did significantly improve the reliability of connecting a smart phone. czcams.com/video/GNiSj0FxTqo/video.html So it may be worth checking that your Smart Connect system is up to date. On your Smart Connect screen tap ... Cogwheel >>> System tab >>> If there is an update available then on this screen you will see the text "New update available" The connection to my mobile phone is now a LOT more reliable than it was but still very occasionally will fail. I think that the connection to a mobile phone is more reliable if you can wait while the Smart Connect system establishes the connection to your phone. I have got in the routine of getting in the car and cleaning my glasses while the connection to the phone is established.
