I’ve always thought these motor fans were kinda silly but after seeing those fans kick on I can definitely see this working pretty well. Ive been working on trying to mount a very thin fan directly to the motor shaft since that always seemed like a more elegant solution but the space between the motor case and the sprocket is pretty tight. Might have to just go this route after all.
These fans are no joke. I’m sure the tests I do will result in a cooler motor. 🍻

@@VoltronWatts 40-45mph it stays cold around 60 Celsius. But any wheelies over 50mph and the motor gets to 70 Celsius and i feel that’s to hot. I emailed E&C to see what they thought but no response yet
The motor has holes on the top and bottom for mounting fans as well
@@VoltronWatts yeah I’m probably going to mount one on top of the motor. I contacted E&C and they said that they’re gonna be coming out with a fan to mount on the motor. I haven’t got my motor over 72° C somewhere in there and they just emailed me saying the motor can take temperatures of 140°C

I tried to design a bigger fan shroud for the RSF for bigger fans. Because the swing arm is more narrow than the MX/SX it just doesn't have a good solid base to mount to. I originally had issues getting the smaller fans to stay against the motor on the RSF, that's the reason I added the 3rd zip tie around the motor to keep the shroud from falling over.
