I apologize for the few video glitches in this video. There were several issues with saving the file that resulted in me having to use a different format to save. It resulted in less than ideal conditions but at least the video finally saved. Ultimately, the biggest problems came by way of fade transitions, which doesn't take away too much in general. Between the two Megatrons, the leader class one has a better jet mod, but the voyager class one has a better robot mode

I just saw Transformers 5... I really don't understand all of the hate. The movie was one big action scene with an abrupt ending, but I thought it was pretty good.

I didn't love it because it focused way too heavily on the humans. I wanted to see more of Nemesis Prime, Megatron, literally any of the Decepticons or Autobots. We really didn't get very much in terms of Transformers, unfortunately.
The story is bad but the action is good

Has anyone else noticed that when you have the Canon folded out in his vehicle mode that it looks similar to his jet in the first film?
I actually do remember asking on the Age of Extinction Leader Optimus video to see a size comparison with ROTF Leader Optimus (which is one of my favorite Optimus Prime toys ever) so I do appreciate you showing the Leader Megatron from that line with this one. It's actually really strange seeing the evolution (or in many people's eyes, the de-evolution) of the brand based on the size of the toys and design of the characters. It was shocking to see how small the newer figure was, caught me way off guard.
Get the Takara Caliber Optimus, it's the Takara Armor Knight Optimus but made better since they made it so the backpack can come off without messing up the figure and it turns into a shield.
Destroyahweapon hey are the joints okay to play with on the figure? Because I noticed they were quite ratchety making it hard to move right?

I like how he doesn't have a lot of kibble, the fusion cannon and the back is all that has kibble, but they still look good, I think I like this over the voyager by a little
What the leader class Megatron does better than the voyager are the legs proportions that arens't as skiny as the voyager's, the skirts that aren't as huge as the voyager's and the battle mask gimmick, if they could mix the legs from the leader and waist up from the voyager (and the battle mask)....
It's kinda funny, history repeated itself again:
ROTF: Megatron gets his fusion cannon arm sliced off by Optimus
- A decade comes (I think) -
TLK: Megatron gets his fusion arm sliced off by Optimus again
watching 7:25 really reminds me of his jet mode from TF1 when his arms were in that position
Hey always a fan of your reviews since i dont even know when, but is your video recording lagging for some reason? i tried a couple diff bandwidth and the lag persisted.... around 11'53", you may want to check it out... cant wait for MPM-04 though, heard that it's going to be here some time in August for hk. Another excellent review, Optibotimus. Megatron seems to be a decent toy at this time. My Targets are slow in getting new TF figures, so I don't think that I'll be seeing him on shelves so soon. I still wish that he was taller, though.
Opening the nose cone up at 7:00 sorta reminded me of a Predator opening its external jaws XD
I love the oversized arm canon megaton has really always had a huge cannon.

Good review! As per usual! The arm gaps are a shame. Instead of the flames, they should've had arm flaps to cover the gaps and an extra hinge on his cannon to move the cannon over,. So the elbows can move up and down forward and the cannon will be in the right place.
That really is a 'homage' to the TF Prime Megatron. Love this design :) finally we have a cool figure.

Sweet review man, I'll be getting this one. Could you extend the end music in your video from now one, that is the best theme from Transformers 5. It wasn't really shown in the movie, so probably we may see it on a blurry extended cut.

I picked voyager cause I didn't want such a big figure, and the arm cannons way more subtle and cool, but uh, the facemask on the leader, I've been wanting a movie figure with a retractable face mask for years, I may just get it too if it goes on clearence at target ever, it's so awesome!

It would have been better if the cockpit was around the fusion canon and either swing around to the back and compress or detach and tab into the left arm to become a shield
this is why I was hoping that the fusion cannon of the jet was detachable

It would have made the figure much better if the sides of the cockpit detached and plugged in to the back wing section revealing a good or at least decent Fusion Canon or a third party company makes a new arm mold
I wanted to tell you that I fix my Leader class Megatron canopy issue. In plane mode, I flipped the figure upside down, you will see 2 screws under the canopy. Unscrew them until its completely loose, but don't remove them. Then carefully lift the section of his arm gun until you can lift 1 of the sections that makes the canopy and remove it. Once you do, you can take out the spring. YOU DON'T NEED TO REMOVE BOTH SPRINGS, just 1. I wanted people to know that in all caps so you don't break your figure. When the spring is out, tighten the screws and you can keep the figure all together in plane mode. I have NOT tried the canopy in robot mode to see how the arm will be, but I suppose the figure will keep it's position in the way you want. GOOD LUCK! :)

I didn't expect to like it as much as I do now, considering I liked the Voyager version better based on reviews.
My mouth plate feature broke and I want to know how to fix it. It won't stay in mouth mode snd I just scratched my finger while trying to keep it down
I found a CGI model for the last knight megatron and he has a shield that looks like the canon in this leader figure, so Hasbro mange to incorporate bought accesories
I feel like leader class figures don’t utilize the larger space as well as they should, instead of improving engineering they add unnecessary gimics that don’t make they figure any better.

I probably will. Relax. The leader figures aren't out yet in stores. Hasbro RARELY works with reviewers on CZcams. So we are at the mercy of when things become available for us to buy. That being said, figures that are released early cost extra than retail releases. Megatron cost me $75 before shipping to get him. Optimus costs roughly the same. I don't like him enough to pay that much to get him early. So when he's reasonable for me to buy, i'll get him and review him.

honestly I prefer this one over the Voyager mostly for the alt mode which looks way better with this one I don't mind the fusion Cannon and I prefer my megatrons bigger than my other transformers and the head is way better
I love that hes way taller than prime. Its olny of by a bit movie wise but I like it.
Ok so today I litteraly bought this figure today and it was the last one. Then when I started to transform it it was missing one of the little wing pieces on the back of the legs. I took it back to target and they had none. Then I checked every store in town and they had none. Got to use it for 10 minutes
Is there any way to pop the cannon off in robot mode, and put it back on when transforming him?

I'm quite impressed with this new Leader class Megatron, even if the fusion cannon is a pain in the butt! Before I decide to get this new Megatron, I'd like to see the Leader Class Optimus Prime review as well, to see how they compare to each other, since we haven't got a proper Leader class for both figures in quite some time. Cool review! In the movie, they never explained why Galvatron became Megatron and why he changed his vehicle mode, especially the fact that Galvatron could disassemble himself in AOE, then he could transform "normally" in TLK, a bit strange and unexplained. Still, a very desirable figure!

If only the front of the jet that makes up the fusion cannon was detachable and third party companies could make much better fusion cannons along with like a square filling for the hollow arms.

I suggest you wait for the Caliber Optimus Prime figure instead of the AoE repaint if you want a price worthy figure.
Voyadger classes are probably suppost to be accurate,and I'm pretty sure Leader classes should have more accessories and kind of similar to the movie
