Short answer: Yes, Absolutely. If you mean making the actual fight harder that is, because "Very Hard" is the hardest base difficulty regular battles would allow. However, there are a couple of ways to make it more challenging. Long answer: The ways you could make it happen are either: too much effort for very little payoff or it just makes the game borderline impossible. I can actually show you a couple and why there impractical. 1. Max CPUs: There's a section in the item tab where you can equip CPU intelligence items. One of them makes any CPU smarter than their very hard counterpart, but I don't use this equip because it takes up space for items that actually buff stats and because the difference is unnoticeable. 2. Ability down items: In the same item tab, there's a list of items that nerf your abilities by less than than half your original strength. I don't equip these because when you consider I hit red health on most of these battles, you can Imagine how ridiculous it would get when I deal less than half damage, take more than double damage, can't charge ki, consume about double ki, start with only one bar of health and am unable to activate high-tension or raging soul (which by extension would make me unable to use my ultimate) . 3. Worse characters: This would be counter intuitive since I want to do this challenge with all characters, but it would technically be a lot harder to beat characters with Recome rather than Kid Buu. 4. Real players: this one feels like cheating because its pretty obvious, but I thought I'd mention it anyway :) 5: Custom Items: If you look closely at the setup section, you can notice that sometimes I pick characters from the "Enhanced characters" section. Enhanced characters' super attacks and items CANNOT be customized, but their preset items are much stronger than regular ones, so it balances out. However, I could probably sit down and make custom items presets that are better than their Enhanced counterpart. I don't do it because it would take an unironic day of my time to get through all of them. Hope it helps!
