Bartje Bartmans, I would just like to say thank you so much for all that you have uploaded, you have introduced me to so many different pieces, and this one is, as always, beautiful. Thanks!

An underrated work, I've always thought. I was driving back from Philadelphia very late one night and tuned into it just as it was getting started. I soon pulled over just so I could find out what it was.

Charles Rex excellent violinist. He was for years co- concertmaster of the NewYork Philharmonic and before that a member of the Philadelphia Orchestra. Good to hear sometimes people out of the mainstream world of the so called "starsoloist"....

The music just poured out of Glazunov. This melodic and powerful song-like piece exemplifies the kind of great music he composed. I think he was far more prolific than Tchaikovsky, and his orchestrations and musical flow even excelled Tchaikovsky. (I am sure to make some folks mad, but I find Glazunov to be the most Russian and, for me, the greatest Russian composer.)

You state the obvious but thanks for visiting anyways. It is probably due to lack of recording time
