Frank Shamrock's move was not low IQ, it was genius. Pancrase rule for strike has to be open palm, so the hit has reduced damage, and it's doing more psychological damage to the opponent.

Agreed. Frank using his face for defense was just to troll Bas.... Quing's guard lure against Adesanya wasn't low IQ either..... He was getting his ass kicked on the feet. Obviously, as a submission fighter you're better of baiting someone in your guard than you are standing toe to toe with someone who's lighting you up. Demien Maia pulled that move like 20 times when he fought Anderson Silva. Every two minutes he was diving on the ground, hoping Anderson would take the bait. That's not low IQ.... That's smart.
