If you know the history of Bob Sapp, you’ll know he was paid to play a role and he played it well. The Japanese people love(d) him. He was a superstar there and he did exactly what he was paid to do.
He was no different than a current WWE wrestler, except he really could fight in the beginning. Once he realized he could get paid more to entertain rather than actually put his body and health on the line, he took it.

Bob Sapp looked (physically) incredible. He was one of the worst yet known fighters out there . With low body fat, he couldn't come near the UFC 265 limit. (Qualifying would also be impossible).

I’d be really upset if I was a trainer or had anything to do with a fighter getting ready and they pulled some of this disrespectful cockiness in (and out of) the ring, only to get their ass handed to them because of it in the fight…you know, the part that really matters.
