- Australian Salmon Fishing Hally's Beach Streaky Bay Eyre Peninsula - It’s Australian Salmon heaven. From the moment we cast our lines in at Hally's Beach Streaky Bay, we caught Salmon. We fished most of the day because the Australian Salmon just kept on biting, and the weather was perfect. We arrived a couple of hours after low tide and fished right up to high tide. There was a deep gutter in front of us, and a school of Australian Salmon was swimming around in there. It was supposed to be a low fish activity according to the fishing apps, but that was definitely not true at Hally’s Beach!
Most of the fish we caught were around 40cm to 45cm, but a few were quite a lot bigger. Those Australian Salmon were so much fun to catch, jumping out of the water when they were hooked and fighting hard when we reeled them in. We used salted pilchard for bait then switched to fresh Australian Herring (Tommy Ruff) we had caught earlier, both of which worked well.
We had a berley bag full of fish frames in the shallow water to help attract the Salmon to our fishing spot. After lunch the water became murky and brown, and then the mullet arrived. We released most of the fish we caught, keeping a few to eat over the next few days. Hally’s Beach is a great location to fish. You don’t need a 4WD to get there, and access is easy with an excellent staircase to the beach. We recommend Fishing at Hally’s Beach Eyre Peninsula for Australian Salmon Fishing.

Hi Guys, this fishing session was excellent and we had such a great time. Sorry about the poor sound, but the waves and wind were very noisy! Please give us your feedback in the comments below...Also, what do you want to see in future videos?
What a great video, excellent fishing day loved watching you guys catching salmon.👌👍❤️
Thanks! We had such fun that day 😁
Amazing footage! The drone brings a whole new element. Definitely gives an advantage to see where the schools are. Looking forward to spring and summer sessions from you both 😊
Thanks! I am also looking forward to fishing in warmer weather. Especially the garfish yum 😋
Great video thanks heaps
Was a joy to make 😁. What a place!
Nice Video, Heading to Streaky Bay for the first time in a couple of weeks. looking forward to some beach fishing.
You are in for a treat! Streaky has so many great fishing spots and all different types of fishing too. Big surf beaches and calm shallow bays. And of course heaps of different fish. We have caught flathead, whiting, Tommies, mullet, squid, salmon and garfish all off the beach. Paradise!
Awesome video. What an amazing day you guys had out there. Nice size fish, and good action. Impressive... More please...
It was so much fun Sherman! Next vids will be from beaches around Elliston so that should bring back happy memories!
Excellent video. I visit Streaky Bay once a year. I have caught mulloway, snapper, gummy shark and plenty of salmon @ Hally's
Thanks for the feed back. We loved that beach and would like to go back. Well done on the Mulloway and Snapper too.... I would love to get a Mulloway one day!
Thanks for the reply 👍 I have watched several of your videos. My best mulloway at Streaky was 11kg and the snapper was approximately 8kg but I had too release it as it was a snapper ban. Talia Beach is also good
Wow 11kg..that would have been fun to bring in! What time of the year did you catch it?
Spring is a good time for mulloway. Sometimes the low tide is better because the swell and rip can make fishing difficult around the high tide.
@@user-tl2vu8st5r Thanks🙂 for the tip
Hey guys great show.... The only fishing channel I watch, and not so much for the fishing but the fact that you include your audience....
As a surfer, I love the way you pan the beach and coastline which let's us share your experience.
GO, fishing sister. (and Martin) Lol😊
Thanks! It means a lot that you enjoy our vids 🥰. I often think that fishers have a lot in common with surfers. We both have a deep connection with the ocean and are in awe of the force of nature. I prefer to be well away from the sharks though lol!
Brilliant video guys. Great fishing, great scenery. Love the drone footage.
Thanks Kevin. Martin is a wiz on the drone now 😃
@fishingsister This video was extremely well put together
@kevinbrian3244 thanks it took some work!
Great vid guys! Love the integration of drone footage. And love the joy in your voice when you hook up Linda 😀 What are to boots you’re wearing?
Thanks Annie! I am wearing Adrenalin 5mm zip boots. Less than $60 and they are good for keeping my feet warm when on sand but not on rocks. My spiked shoes with the hard heel are better for that scenario.
OK cool thanks Linda. I might look at getting a pair of the zip boots. I think my time of climbing over rocks has passed so probably don’t need the other ones. 🎣
Soooo Jealous!😮
You need to get over here!
your brother is also a good fisherman,
That's my husband😉, he is an ok fisher🤣
your a great fishergirl linda,
Thank you kindly
