RIP Dave. His look and style was so cool to me when I was 14/15 the first time I seen "Potholes in My Lawn." Been a fan of De La ever since. I matured as they did, but they were always a little more grown up than me. Plug 1, 2, 3, peace Brothers.

The crowd looked like a bunch of squares!!! Looked like only a handful of people was into it!!! That was a classic De La Soul record!!!

The Apollo theater audience ain’t no squares love. They are a tough audience though. Apollo was one of the livest audiences of that time. Legendary and worthy of respect. Every close up in the audience showed heads bobbing all over the place.

By this time, they did. De La were super famous by 1993. This was just the vibes back then. Slower time. People sat, listened and appreciated.

This is from the _Apollo_ Comedy Hour_ show. If this was the regular _Showtime_ the crowd would've been rocking (at least for this performance). That's why the extended stage was out.
