  • Generation X (2003) - Interviews with Iraqi students before the war praised Saddam Hussein and castigated the American invasion. Now free to speak their minds after the fall of Saddam, their views have not changed.
    Subscribe to Journeyman here: www.youtube.com...
These students were interviewed before and after the fall of Saddam's regime. Now, with the minders gone, their views haven't changed. We've just replaced Saddam Hussein with a greater power - the United States," seethes Uday Saddik. His ex-colleagues at the University of Baghdad agree. "We were helpless before, and now we are even more helpless." states Haider, who still denies Saddam ever gassed the Kurds. Iraq's elite students were always the most sheltered from the tyranny of Hussein, but their criticism of American policy is still damning.

All of the anarachy that occured after the fall of sadam could have been avoided if the Americans had actually made and prepared a plan of real replacement of the institutions and organs of political government that are necessary for a stable country. Instead America had a short sighted and single minded goal of taking out sadam without any thought about the future and the small administrative details of what a country needs after a radical and quick regime change. If this was done properly like after what happened to Germany and Japan post world war 2, perhaps Iraq would be a thriving and powerful Ally. Instead it became a cesspool of anarchy and a perfect breeding ground for terrorism and isis. A failed state now that may never recover.

First of all, I would like to tell Iraqis with all my heart and soul that I love, respect and feel sorry for every young or old Iraqi who died for no reason, without guilt because of criminals who had nothing to do there, they killed their family, children, parents, destroyed their homes, cities .. life and did it unscrupulously, at the behest of a miserable, lying president and a lying government and because of some soldiers who did not even knew what they were looking for there ,and that the enemy was not the young man or the old man killed but their own government !! Now the Middle East is destabilized forever, Americans have brought death, poverty, pain, panic, grief to their countries and souls and they don't care they say they protected them..lies ... they went there for oil, for fame and to destroy and subjugate someone who can become smarter and stronger than them !!
To all the soldiers who committed indescribable atrocities and killed innocently ... rest assured, life will not forgive you, you will die one by one, you will not receive help from the same government that sent you to battle (they don't even care about you) ..I read that 1 soldier commits suicide in 65 minutes, ... a pity but in life you have to know what you choose, you chose death and it's not good !!
