  • In this video (er, audio,) we travel between Jamestown, NC, Belle Harbor Queens, New York, London, UK, and Tallin, Estonia, in reverse chronological order, slowly cross-fading between each after 2.5 minutes.
    This is made possible with a small network of Raspberry Pi powered streaming microphones that I and a couple of friends run, some cheap microphones and audio interfaces, and Liquidsoap streaming software.
    Though I explain a bit about how this works and why we set it up, I didn't want to go into too much detail on this presentation. Perhaps I'll do that at a later date.
    Here is a timeline so you can jump directly to midnight on January 01, 2019 for each location.
    5:16 Midnight in Jamestown, NC
    7:45 Midnight in Belle Harbor, Queens, New York
    10:16 Midnight in London (Kilburn) United Kingdom
    12:46 Midnight in Põhjatallinn, Estonia
    Things I mentioned along the way;
    the Locus Sonus network of open streaming microphones, on which all these streams and many more can be found: www.locusonus.org/wiki/index.p...
    The Behringer XM8500 microphones used on all of our streams: www.google.com/search?source=...
