    Dr. Fauci is a Distinguished University Professor at Georgetown University School of Medicine and McCourt School of Public Policy. He served as director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases at the National Institutes of Health from 1984 to 2022. Dr. Fauci was a key advisor to seven presidents on global HIV/AIDS issues and infectious disease threats, including COVID-19.
