    This is a great resource my dad is agbor and my mom is Yoruba, I can only speak Yoruba so I’m trying to learn ika now

    Wene, please can you also visit more Ika kingdoms in Edo state. Many of our people in Edo state are sidelined but they proudly wear their Ika identity

During your young age, was it true before registering for primary school, the pupils fingers need to touch the ear? Is polygamy still encourage in morden day Ika nation?       I really want to explore with this language reason is that I am married to an esan man so we dt speak Ika in my house though am trying to teach my kids now

      Please don't name your kids with English try and give them real ika names not an igbo name.

    Thank you Sir, but let us stop lying to ourselves, this is just another igbo dialect, because I'm igbo and I am not even stressing a bit to understand you. Even the Ezza people of ebonyi state whose language is farther to central igbo than yours are not denying their igboness yet you whose language sounds more igbo than Nsukka is saying you are not igbo. You are igbo and you tongue can attest to that.

      Itsekiri speaks similar to Yoruba yet you don’t see Yoruba people claiming them
      Even Edo norths answers Yoruba names but no issue
      Only una nor wan let people rest 😅

      Same here but I am Edo and I understand bits. Thousand of Edo words are enshrined in the Ika Language. That’s why most of them answer Edo names. Even when they say God they say Osolobue .

    Look for your lost language and teach your children because this that you speak is igbo dialet. Hausa and yoruba people are wondering.

      Nwene means sibling
      Okehe or Okenye means male
      So we combine it to get
      Nwene okehe, meaning male sibling .we don't have one word for brother
