One of the greatest pieces of knowledge I have ever gotten about laneing is knowing the difference between hitting last and last hitting. Thanks for all the great free knowledge.
I think what several people have been saying here is that pushing if you know what you are doing is better because it is a high risk high reward strategy.
It put pression on the whole enemy team because it gives you prio over other botlane for drakes, roam, laying deep vision, make other adc miss cs while allowing to poke them for free because they have to concentrate on last hitting. Also it allows for crash dives which are way more punishing. Also if you get pushed out of lane and you were under turret, you will immediately loose a ton of cs and come back to a potentially bad laning state, as if you just got crash dived.
Finally, going for low risk low rewards strats like here might be easily repeatable, but if your team is loosing it just won t cut it.
This is more a low risk, medium reward strategy. You do this early game to open up an easier gank for your own jungler, which is safer than needing to 1v2 and outplay the enemy.
A lot of teammates I've had, myself included, play aggressive, fail the outplay, get mad at mid or bot or jungle for not coming to countergank or "follow". If you win your own lane by denying the enemy gold and xp by freezing you free up your jungler to play his own game. It happens so often that you didn't expect 2+ enemies to come or miss your crucial skillshot (for example illaoi e) and then only trade 1 for 1, making the enemy ganker have more gold to impact the map.
There is nothing more frustrating than seeing your minions die and not being able to reach them for gold. It takes a lot of composure to watch them die for 5-10 minutes and not do anything rash.
i used to be diamond supp during season 6-9. i knew all these things and sure it was good advice. i just feel like pushing every single wave and drawing jungle attention to my lane makes me win easier when smurfing. even as top or adc which i play mostly when smurfing
It depends on the matchup. The safe play is to do this and win by denying the enemy.
A big thing that a lot of low elo people are not used to is having less gold than average. If you deny the enemy gold and xp by freezing they think they will win fights later on, but end up losing them because they're 0/0/0 instead of 5/5/5. Sure it's better to push if you can 1v2 consistently, but that doesn't usually happen early game.

@@teddybblazin5628 While diamond is still low elo, there's different layers of it.
Roughly :
Iron players don't know what they're doing except for killing the other guys and taking turrets
Bronze start to understand what are objectives but ignores them most of the time anyways
Silver starts to actually do them + are able to farm if not bothered with something else
Gold are Silver+ more consistency and some wave management understandings, poorly executed most of the time - but they also have more ego that makes them no better than silver most of the time
Plat are Gold+ but starting to have infinite ego thinking that they know better when they mostly don't - but they are more consistent in how they play
Diamond are also mainly ego driven but are starting to get a grip on being constantly good on what they know and it shows, gaping between them and gold/plat when they're able to just play putting asied their ego when they get stupidly k!lled by a "low p!ss" gold/plat.

The thing is that wave control like this is barely possible I play ADC and what usually happens is that my support will just spam their abilities on the wave so pretty much have to compete for CS then posture aggressively but because they have 0 abilities up because they used them on the wave they just die. And the more you ask them not to hit the wave the more they are going to do it
if this happens to you, you are probably low enough that none of this atters and you can very easily just capitalize on their bad lane fundamentals and get fed
don’t play adc if you want to win, worst role for low elo carrys
Can you do this but with ziggs? I find I'm winning a lot of games with ziggs via taking objectives but I cant seem to find a balance sometimes late game between should I trade for an inhib or should I help at a teamfight
Depends on hpw much time passed, but tf should always be first until u r losing
I play ziggs adc and do the strategy explained here, i play duo with a troll cait sup that sucks at this game. And we often win lane
This is so good for me because every game enemy jungler and mid they are often bot then other lanes and if u die at their gank u get so frustrated

this is an amazing guide, but my adcs always seem to hate minions with a burning passion, like they single-handedly murdered their mothers. it's pretty hard to freeze as a support without getting spam pinged for breathing near the wave...
At least the new ping system has a freeze ping so there's that I guess... doesn't mean they'll listen of course but yea :/

Even in plat elo when i want to gank a lane m'y team mates shove hard and i find m'y self in the same situation as the graves so i started playing volibear full clearing till lvl 6 and diving With R . Use this if your team mates are not good at wave contrôle and don't touch the wave After a gank cuz they don't understand that It Will Bounce back making enemy lose 1.5 wave .
Yesterday i win lane in 3 games just with minion control, it was awesome
while i do agree on the part of freezing as being good vs ganks, i often find myself crashing multiple waves in a row into enemy tower.
Because up to plat most of the people cant lasthit under tower when they r stressed out.
If doing so you have the ability to rebounce the wave when you want to.

Pushing creates opportunities to go do other things, but freezing locks you into one play for as long as the freeze lasts. Less options but super punishing if it works
This is so great, i'm a 1 trick neeko, and wave management 100% wins or loses my lane. Being in low ELO, obviously this wasnt a huge thing for me, but this season i plan on climbing, and the neeko mains i've been watching have been helping me to understand wave management. @@babyplum2837 Did you activate attack closest to cursor? I use the 2 options together with attack closest to cursor and face no issues
@@babyplum2837 You need "attack closest to cursor" activated. It definitely works to toggle or hold "attack champion only" and attack move near an enemy champ.

This is matchup dependent. There is no way you would be able to do this as a melee support against a ranged support. Instead, you will be the one frozen on.
And then Nasus shows up with 500 stacks and OS you and your ADC :)

You cant really take an example of one of the weakest bot lane, do these things when you’re against a more aggressive bot lane
It's the exact same concept only difference is if you can't get the push (which is very rare in low elo if you play supp) then you let them push first and then rebound, once you've pushed then base and play for the freeze from there
My friend complains about wave control being a part of the game. "It's not even explained by Riot how to do it." and "This is norms, the enemy top laner shouldn't be doing this." How should I respond to it?

every single video uses smurfing to prove a point. stop smurfing. if your tactics are this effective, just show them in your actual ELO and stop ruining the game for those of us who are stuck in Low ELO hell.
Fairs I think they use smurf because it makes the techniques stand out but I would like to see more Challenger vs Challenger gameplay

The smurf is to show how the techniques works against people who dont use them. Most if not all of high elo vs high elo replays wont do jack for most to develop good fundamentals.
Again, cool in theory. But in reality There is a 5/2 camille top in the enemy, a 3/1 fizz, and a 7/1 hecarim. That get fed up with your bullshit minion wave control tactic and just dive you and kill you in 2 seconds, take your turret, take your dragon and u lost the game. in plat, because thats how the game works.
if you disagree with their content why are you commenting in literally every video with this same rhetoric, if the problem is your team, then what are you hoping to absolve by going on youtube and learning fundamentals and self improvement when you should really be contacting a shaman for better luck.
Then play mid or top if the problem is your role.

If you are unlucky 2 things could be wrong. You either didnt play enough games or you arent unlucky and dont deserve to climb. You dont need better laners you need better winrate after 100 games.
