    Great installation guide! Just got my f900xr. Had motorrad engine bars fitted prior to collection of the bike and didn't realize they don't protect the fairings. Looking to add these to the bike and wanted to know how you would rate them after 7 months of use?

      Thanks for the comments. Fortunately never had test them yet. Just my preference to ugly crash bars.

    Thanks. Can you use for foot rests on long cruises?

    I really can’t see how they would stop much damage to the fairing

      Depends a lot on how hard he bins it. He tends to topple over at petrol stations when his wife is on the back.

      Thanks for looking, I don’t want to try it out but I guess between that the handle bar and rear grab rail it does it’s stuff . The brand new Akro though would get well mullered !

    The screws must be closed by applying a specific torque, not so to feeling…

  • @roz6573

    is this better than crash bars ?

    • @mikepritchard4930
      @mikepritchard4930 Před rokem

      I haven’t seen any comparisons as to if they do a better job than crash bars, I just think they look more unobtrusive .

  • @DeanG55

    What year is this? I have the 2021 F900XR. It is not the same as this one you are showing. Did you mean to not tell what model year this is? The reason why I need you to tell what year this being applied is because the 2021 model sliders are attached at the same sites the 2021 OEM BMW crash bars attach on both sides. And, the OEM driving/fog lights are attached to the crash bars!! So, if someone buys and applies the sliders to the 2021 model, then later wants crash bars and lights, they are gonna be mad for not being told.

      Hi Les thanks for your comments. Sorry for the delay but i haven't checked these for a a couple of months. I'll see if Andy who does the route still has the files. We're off to Portugal in 2 weeks for A BBB 10 day tour, hopefully with some vlogs.
