I converted my old shed into a duck house. Just had to cut a few windows for ventilation, lay down linoleum and run electric for the lights. Works great!
Cool design but I had bad experience with wooden pallets coop, rats made a big hole and kill all my quails in only one night. Never use wooden materials without metal net protecting since.
Yeah, it all depends on your area and the critters you have. We have never even seen a rat on our property so I didn’t have to worry about that so much, but if you have them then definitely throw some wire netting around the base as well. Thanks for the feedback.

I’m in the Sacramento valley of California and we just had 5 weeks of mostly 105 degrees. My problem is more keeping the birds cooler.
