    Very nice review! I have an 07 Coupe SI and I absolutely love it as a daily driver. I drive it so much more than my 2018 Subaru, its just overall so much more comfortable and the manual is so easy to drive especially in traffic. The trunk space is so much larger than my Subaru's also. Once I get a new daily I plan on doing some light mods and hopefully making it into a track beast!

    I bought my 8th gen Si sedan in 2016, and it’s been my daily since then. So coming up to about 8 years. I’ve put over 100k miles on it, including two 1200 mile round trips. Only major problem I’ve had was a cracked thermostat housing, other than that it has never left me stranded. It’s surprisingly spacious for what it is, especially the trunk. Has enough power to have fun, and it handles well even stock.

  • @kingsdrumming
    @kingsdrumming Před 6 měsíci +4

    it feels like youre trying really hard to make up the issues you have with this car. the suspension is 40 percent more stiff than stock for handling purposes. ya youre gonna tell when you hit a bump. and why change anything unless youre going boost. the engineers at honda really nailed this one no need for exhaust etc

      @Geo-Media Před 2 měsíci

      Depends on what you want out of your vehicle, is it a daily? Weekend car? Track car? Do you need alot of space? I would recommend either the 8th gen sedan OR 9th gen si sedan as well. I'm fortunate enough to own both and love each one. If your not into heavily modding I recommend the FB6 over the FA5 considering it has alot more tech features. If you want a drivers car that's track ready then the FA5 is your best bet

    yup either my car shimmys or rocks side to side when I hit a pothole but I think that has to do with everything being so old (stock suspension). It's a great daily but if I had to do it again I would have gotten the sedan lol

    • @dav31078
      @dav31078 Před 8 měsíci +2

    You'll love the 370Z; I've gone through two myself (2019 Sport and 2020 NISMO). Totaled the Sport, got the NISMO, then sold the NISMO to partially fund going back to school/move to Japan in the coming years. Funny enough, I'm looking at 8th Si's since I miss rowing through my own gears. Hoping it's something to keep me entertained/having something reliable at the same time. Might even bring it with me to Japan since these weren't sold there.
    But one day I definitely want to get back into a NISMO - best car I've ever had in terms of rawness, power, looks, and just being a modern "90s" Japanese car

      @@pattyboi Is that what wrecking a car is called nowadays? Consistent driving at high speeds in a sport compact car on a track will put extra wear and tear strain on your car's engine and transmission due to the excessive heat. Which goes without having to say it: causing damage to the engine, pistons, valves, and bearings. There are people that ignite their engines within months or less of “pushing their cars” on the track. There are tons of videos here on youtube.
      I’ve been in receipt of sport compact cars that knuckleheads “tracked” that caused premature oil burning, and other repairs needed because certain doofus’ thought, “These cars love to be revved high”. Which is a crock of sh*t. That's not what these cars are for. They're just fun daily drivers with some zip for daily, moderate driving.
      The “track” is for well machined, higher end cars that can take the extra heat on the internals, and externals.
      You were wrecking this cool low mileage Si regardless of what you think. Sadly the next owner will be in for some costly repairs in the near future as I’m sure you will be selling it and passing on the financial burden to the innocent buyer.

    I dislike 8th gens because of the lack of aftermarket support, front end heavy, tight engine bay and the fact it wasn’t made in Japan. Also while the ugly 4 doors was made in Japan, it just created a major divide with coupe and sedan people. Though I’m not a fwd person, the rsx type s is better overall compared to 8th gens. I like how they didn’t make ugly 4 door rsx type s cars.

      I mean I disagree on the aftermarket support, I think 8th gen Civics are one of the best supported Hondas in terms of aftermarket options and potential. The biggest thing for me is that Civic SIs came with a limited slip diff while RSXs didn't, that's absolutely huge for track driving. RSXs definitely look better in the exterior department though.

    Dude you realize you can lower the seat right? im 6 foot and i have plenty of room and im not even on the lowest seat setting.

      YOU CAN LOWER CAR SEATS?? Just kidding, it is lowered all the way. Some people have different torso to leg ratios that come into play with fitment. Keep in mind as a taller person the seat moves back away from the front of the headliner near the back, there may be more natural room the further back you go.

      @pattyboi lol believe it or not some people actually don't know that when I tell them but I agree you're right people do have different body ratios my bad I wasn't implying you were dumb or anything

    Booooooo. This was the only thing drawing me into your videos. I don’t think you spent enough time with the car to appreciate the 8th gen si. But hey if it’s not for you then fine.

    I have a new 11th gen si and its a very nice car and with a tune it will produce 292hp or so .right now im under warranty so ill deal with the dyno numbers of 222 hp still not bad numbers and Honda for whatever reason isn’t telling us the real numbers of horsepower and it does dyno at 222 hp
