- 1st Black Lagoon AMV of mine. I would always think of this song when I first began seeing BL, so making an AMV with it was bound to happen. I have done better videos, but I am satisfied with this one as well, excluding the ending, where I got a little bit too careless :P. But it's ok, life continues :)

Ye, it is clear that Balalaika is my favourite character of BL, and maybe.... my favourite character in general now (sry Knives, Seras and Schrodinger, she deserves a medal too you know xD). I hope I made everyone who watched this shiver for putting her laugh in the video :D:D

The comment you are overreacting to is from three years ago. Degenerated (third wave) feminism was not that common back then. Also isnt the comment about feminism at all the author just noticed the lack of strong female characters in shounen and seinen anime, which doesn't fit the damsel in distress archetype.
Which is kinda existent but also isnt badsince the audience of shounen and seinen are young male adults who like their Protagonist male, ripped and badass and their women hot, busty and supporting.
Also there are female badass characters like: Akame, Erza Scarlet, Mikasa Ackerman, Olivier Mira Armstrong, Robin. There arent just many Shows using that trait.

Yes that laugh sent a siver down my spine. It made her 50 times more sinister.
It actually works,they tested it in Mythbusters and you can shoot pistols two handed,even at different targets and still hit.They did it for the first time at about 3 Meters away and hit with nearly every shot,someone that is traniend in this style of Shooting could easly shoot like Revy does,without all the jumping around of course.
This Anime is one of the few anime that I know of that doesn't have a mary sue girl as the MC. She is a strong, badass female and I love it. Don't get me wrong, I also enjoy the "good girl" types but Revi is one of my favorite anime babes. Yes, she's not exactly the most upstanding, nonsexualized female in anime, but her excuse is she's insane. Not a dumb blonde with tig ol' bitties.

Balalaika is my favorite the right balance of strong and powerful with business professional manners. I also like her respect, loyalty and attachment to everyone under her command, she’s well mannered and extremely calm in planning every action, just don’t step on her toes.

i've seen a lot of black lagoon amvs but there's something about this one that I like best; music is fun, smug, aggressive - like the anime itself. other amvs are too silly or too angry and depressing.
Dynamite tribute to Black Lagoon. Fantastic job with editing, really captures the intensity of the series. It's great to still see creators putting in the time and effort to make fan vids for those who still appreciate this truly remarkable animated series, unlike any other. Great job with this, and using Balalaika's maniacal laugh in the vid, that was brilliant.

Michael Lawrence, 10mm certainly does exist, and is a relatively common round for 1911's (However, you are correct, Revy's Beretta 92 Inox's are 9x19 parabellum), and secondly, in response to VandeyStudios, a 1911 in .45 acp is completely manageable with one hand.
great stuff. your amvs keep getting better and better. also its a great acheivement for having restrained yourself not to make another hellsing amv xP. The choice of music really made this shine. also i must say great choice of clips to keep for the best bits of the video and song.

Now I know your comment is old but I think the reason I accept Dual-wielding pistols in Black Lagoon is because the pistols are a reasonably caliber. Both Revy and Mister Chang use 9mm bullets in their handguns and any normal trained shooter could shoot two 9mm at the same time (I did not say accurately mind you), Where in action movies it is all about the Desert eagles and 1911 pistols which are pistols that require two hands. My opinion

The only thing that keeps this from perfection is the spanish subtitles. I wouldnt have minded so much if they where english, would have been best with no subtitles but at least english i can read.

Ah dual-wielding pistols, normally I'm the first guy to be screaming bullshit when an action movie busts it out, but in black lagoon I'm surprisingly more tolerant.

I was never worried too much about what her guns were or their looks. I prefer rifles though I appreciate these and others like the one Alucard has from Hellsing and Dante from DMC. It's all for looks though, can't really seeing them being too effective in an outside firefight.
Agreed on pretty much all points save one. In the Urban Combat Arena the handgun (caliber and config being appropriate) in the hands of a skilled shooter offers everything a trained marksman needs in terms of range and power for the combat theater. Open wilderness of any type I concede to your assessment.
Not saying dual wielding is anything other than show, that's all it is. Futhermore ballistics never enters into any form of action type Action flick, Anime or otherwise. It's story and style, not realism..
I agree with you, too, in Urban combat it's efficient too. I am biased towards rifles because that's what I was trained to use and maintain in the Canadian Army Cadets when I was there. People will always prefer what they know best. lol
I used to have a Beretta 92FS in the standard black finish, and I LOVED that gun; but it was too damn big for my hands. It was a fun range gun, but I never considered using it as an EDC because of how bulky it was. If it had fit my hands better, I would have chased down a pair of 92FS Inox's. Not because I would have carried them in a shoulder holster, but because they are one of my favorite pistols.

Never could trust my life to a 9mm when i was working in PPD. For my sidearm i initially carried the Browning 1911 .45 ACP, I later moved on to a Springfield SA-XD .40 cal as i have the same "knockdown" as i did with the Browning however it's vastly more natural feeling and this easier to shoot and more accurate. In no was is the M92 and its variants bad weapons i just prefer the knockdown power to the lowered recoil. No two shooters are alike..

Here in the US you need a permit to carry a gun and a background check to buy one (you can walk out of the store with a long gun but you have to wait 3 days after purchasing to pick up a handgun). And if I'm not mistaken you have to be 21 for a concealed carry permit. It's stupid but that's how things work over here >.
