How tough was the Fallen Archbishop Andreus fight for you?
Its late im tired almost got him dead then learned he has 2 health bars now im going to bed

Definitely threw me for a loop when I first saw his second phase and I think that was the hardest part
A shoutout of encoragement to all my fellow gamers who are struggling with this boss! He is Killable! I killed him with a Greatsword of Fate +5 (blade) with a police baton handle; NO summons was used. I used the Flamberge a little but did not find it essential (it does help though!) He is vulnerable to fire so if can farm up/stock up on flame-based throwable, it would make things a little easier. My best advice: Be patient with yourself! You're doing MUCH better than you give yourself credit for! Take breaks, even a day off or two- half this battle is you exercising patience! You GOT this!!!!

Liar. In no way could you get Greatsword of Fame +5 at this point. I never miss anything I could upgrade to +5 at least need 3 more chapter regardless.

2:25 This right here was the most valuable information from all of the guides I watched on this boss fight. I kept attacking him from behind whenever he did his slam attack since he couldn't hit me with his other attacks during that window. After watching this video I was able to beat him on my next attempt by focusing my attacks on the sides as much as possible.

Attempted the archbishop fight about 10 times and couldn't beat it.

Guide is super helpful for remembering the boss's move sets. With that being said, I've been able to block most attacks and perfect guard severalof them, but I'd have to see what your stats were during this fight because if i got hit as many times during an attempt as you did in this video, I'm not making it through the entire fight. Even the chip damage from blocking, and what i can regain is making it difficult to make it through. Maybe i need more stats into vitality, but I've already had to grind a bit, so I'm not sure if I'm too low on vitality at this point. I can do exactly the same as you and not be able to make it with 5 heals.
Yeah I don't remember what my VIT was at this time but I know it was relatively low at this point in the playthrough.

The best thing I've used is the 7branch sword and any items to help your Spector,let the spector agro the boss then go in . If you have throwable items use those too
So I don't know if you have invested your Quartz in dodging but do that when you can and the game begins to feel way better. It makes dodging viable now and gives I frames. If you already knew this great but I was sleeping on it and decided to do it and I am not regretting it. Between Blocks and dodging Fury attacks, I'm crushing the game.

Edit: what I figured out with the blue beam attack is to run under him- you avoid damage that way but you can't linger because he'll slam his body down right afterwards. But other than that, super fun boss fight! The guide was a huge help.
Nice, yeah I never saw that laser attack until that win so I wasn't sure what to expect - I was just happy to have made it that far. Glad the guide helped out in some capacity.

simplst thing u can do is take the wrench handle and krat police baton, and upgrade them heavily i would recommend motivity crank. Then upgrade fable attack in p organ, equip fire grindstone use the fable attack for the handle then hold the fable art until the boss comes at you, u can remove half his health easily. also use flamberge and overheat him u wont even struggle to kill him no matter how bad you are. commenting everywhere to help people
Good guide. So many other videos on the same boss just show what the boss does and basically say "dodge here" and "block here" but don't actually teach anything. This feels like a true guide to learn from. Well done.

Yeah I'm too stubborn to use Assistance - I'm old school - chest to chest, toe to toe style. I hear this same comment from players that find my videos - that I'm one of the few who actually teaches the fight and breaks things down rather than leaning on cheese tactics or assistance. Also after the charge beam attack if you somehow don't manage to kill him that time he later on does that special move where he screams and immediately runs to you with his charged attack he does that attack three times i recommend running away from that attack rather than perfect guarding you will get to know about that attack when he screams so its pretty easy to detect. 2 normal attack and 1 red attack

You pretty much nailed the break down as most of the things you explained I learned after my 3 hrs of fighting him, so great job on that. However, he has more moves that he can do that aren't shown here (not your fault). In his 2nd phase there's a new berserk charge attack he does where he will run you down three times in a row which you can try to run and dodge to potentially survive (this kinda reminded me of the Ludwig fight). He also has some sort of range spit acid toxic attack. I'm torn between loving this fight and hating it mainly because of the damn camera issues when he stands up. If it were not for the camera issues I'd love it.
Thanks yeah I never saw any of those moves during my 2 hours of dying. Yeah the saying goes "it wouldn't be a Soulslike without crappy camera angles on large bosses that decide to stand up." Only solution to that is pulling the camera out to adjust dynamically which this game doesn't have at all from what I've noticed; dynamic camera scaling would be needed. I was close to beating him then he pulled some 3 hit charging move during phase 2. I damn slammed my mouse into the wall.
Ah dang... hopefully the mouse is all right or the wall or both. Years ago I got so mad that F'd up my Wrist when I slammed it down on the table. I never did that again. Now I just use a pillow lol

I hated and loved this fight. I spent time learning the timing on his moves so i could perfect block him. His pattern is very easy to learn and get down. Once he goes into phase 2 ignore the actual bishop and run behind him and pick a fight with the monster face, he has small changes to his move set but still very easy to block. Use the fire salamander blade and it helps to have the agies, itll give you a block and damage. Spend time learning his move set.
I feel ya and agree on the love/hate. There were times I was really enjoying the fight and others I just was ready to move on.
I’ve been scouring CZcams for a proper tutorial on how to fight this bus without teasing it and this, my friend is by far the most in-depth and intuitive down to earth fact for fact guide.

My AI also suggests using flame 🔥 consumable throwable’s right before you stagger. The bus instead of two R1’s. Throw a fire canister on the ground ;) then do critical attack

Bro, so I got through the 2nd phase until he does that crazy rush attack. I got hit by all of it.
I was down to like a hit of health. And i managed to clutch out his last like 15% of hp.
What saved me was I had managed to save all of my flame arm for just the 2nd phase so I stacked that and got a stun at the right time.

I killed this boss this morning before work. It took 3 tries. Your video helped a lot. The bosses are actually not hard so far, as in actually move sets, they just have gimics that make them hard. I barely killed him the 3rd try. It felt so awesome! Fire eats this boss. Flame thrower arm plus Greatsword buffed with fire.... Melts him in 2nd phase. I used Blitz shock buff on my weapon first phase and it actually slowed him down but I still had to hack away on his health. Over all, really good designed boss I think. Can't wait to play more tonight after work.

I’ve been playing souls games, all of them with multiple play throughs a piece, since 2014. This by far the hardest one yet. I’ve never once felt hopeless till now. The damage output ratio is awful in this game. IMO they need to tune the damage for the bosses or people won’t go for a second play through or a lies 2.
From what I'm seeing and reading there are a lot of players in NG+ and NG++ enjoying it. If I wasn't running this channel and uploading videos, I'd be on NG++ as well. I may stop after my first playthrough (Almost done as of Sept 24) or crank up NG+ before Lords of the Fallen drops.

Bro i love this guide but as everyone else has said, that charge attack his does is pretty much unguardable and almost a certain death. Even with this guide im still getting my butt kicked even with the spectors help cause the spector is useless. He seems more aggressive 2nd phase as he focuses his attention all on me, idk which is best to attack from, because tbat 1-3 hit combo comes quick and its relentless, this fight is stressful and im thinking on just giving up, can come to my house and beat him for me lmao

Not really, elements don't make or break it. It certainly doesn't cripple you, either. I feel it's mostly a skill issue in your case.

@duckyy8655 I don't think it's a sure fire thermite farm, but I know I did collect thermite after killing the enemies that come after Center of Venigni Works stargazer. Because somehow, that mini boss was more annoying the actual boss 😒
But anyways, to be clear, after killing the kings flame boss, I'd kill the enemies leading up to and in the mining area, and that's how I ended up collecting thermite.
