    I have a spectra S2, momcozy and a pump in style. I had a pump in style 15 years ago with my daughter and let me just say they have definitely gone downhill. I like that it’s more portable, however, it’s insanely loud compared to my mom cozies or spectra. It’s also not nearly as effective at getting the milk out for me. It’s got it’s advantages but it’s definitely never going to be my primary pump.

(No one tells you that insurance covers breast pumps, I heard through word of mouth, and then got on the phone with my insurance customer service to get all the details on how to get one), anyway back to my review:
    But the only thing lacking to be mentioned is - is there a separate nipple piece you can screw onto the bottle and feed straight from that same bottle you just pumped into, or do we have to pour that milk out into a separate nipple-bottle to accomplish that?

      I think you can do what you are most comfortable with. Some moms just start off latching & breastfeeding at the hospital. The suction sucks and I thought there was something wrong with me. I could only pump 2 oz at a time. I borrowed my sisters 5 year old advanced and BAM 6-7 oz almost every time. So if you are having any issues dont think its you definitely blame the pump. It has a bunch of 1 star reviews

    • @isabelfaith
      @isabelfaith  Před 11 měsíci

      You don’t have to clean the tube, unless for some reason milk got into it. They take forever to dry and can ruin the motor on your pump if water gets into your pump. Hope this helps!

    How much can you increase the suction on this? I heard that if you need to exclusively pump depending on how your baby does with breast-feeding, you may need do use stronger suction eventually. I’m torn between the Spectra 1 which my sister recommends, however I used Madela pump in style years ago with my older daughter which I liked so I am leaning towards the Madela, but I just want to find out about how much suction you can get from it.

      Hi every pump is different for every woman. I personally loved the Spectra s2 & Medela. I would always suggest buying the hand pump version of 1 or 2 pumps you're interested in and seeing if you like their flanges & how they pump. It's so much cheaper & will give you an idea of how their electric pump will work. I hope this helps! Best of luck to you on your baby & your pumping journey!

      I agree that it's up to the person. There's different opinions, attachment, perks.
      If you have to get one pump to start -- I'm happy I went with a hospital/medical grade pump! The Spectra (I have the green one) has been perfect! No issues, easy to use, and It empties my boobs greatly ! Of course It is not hands free of course.
      Manual Pump -- I have the Medela Harmony. It takes patience, but I get a good amount when I add heat or stimulation first.
      For hands free, I just got the Medela Pump in Style with the cups, so no opinion yet.
      Your insurance may also throw in free perks/replacement items so that may help you decide. For a first to get you started, I'm happy with a hospital grade one as my first
