Was probably the last proper world-class player that Scottish football had. The fact that he didn't look out of place at Barca or Man Utd at the back end of his career shows that he could have moved away from Celtic earlier than he did and still achieved. It showed how good he was, and how much he enjoyed his time at Celtic as well not to leave in his prime.

Larsson was such an underrated player
Don't know bout that, his peers all agree he was a great of his generation
Sadly he spent his prime in Sweden and Scotland, if he had just moved to a big club early, nobody knows what his career would be like now
@Yahya_Japheth Bathory Celtics a massive club and he was there for 7 years
@@AhmadSafty96 In some players case, but not for Larsson. Celtic is not necessarily a small club, I guess their reputation is worse now in comparison to the days Larsson was dominating. However back in those days Scottish football was very entertaining to watch, and players like Larsson and a few others helped Scottish PL to gain a better reputation globally. If he played at United, Real Madrid, Juventus, etc in his prime, he could have risked to be a benchwarmer/squad rotation player like many others, possibly send out on loan which would have been even worse.
Football gets boring when all good prospects/players are in top clubs or in the same league. Henke Larsson made sure to achieve something before he moved on to bigger things. He earned his way up the system. Now days we see the opposite. Many players join top teams way too early, then they get send out on loan and ruin their prime years. Larsson made the correct choices. He chose a club that matched his level, he helped the team evolve and the team helped him evolve. The way it should be!!

Eto'o was offside too but tbh he didn't play too well in that final. You wouldn't believe how well Arsenal played with 10-men for pretty much the entire game. Arsenal have a Champions League 100% if Larsson doesn't come on in that game. So whilst Henry was incredibly salty in defeat (rightly so, probably angry with himself for missing his chances) he is in fact right in principle.
