    The Red Bull is fast, but Max is also in a league of his own. I mean, he barely got any practice time in on this new track on Friday in both FP1 and FP2 because of once again reliability issues, yet still managed to win this race from P3 without making any mistakes. It's amazing how fast he's able to adept. Still won every race he finished this year.

    The way Max plans his overtakes a couple of laps befor is also pretty great.
    Its the same as in Saudi when he said to GP leave me to it, he falls back a bit to like 1.6 sec for a few laps cools tyres charges battery, and then starts the chase picks the correct time and without hesitation plants the car next to his opponent and makes the overtake.
    Its really awesome to see 2bh.

    As u said with Drs Leclerc couldn't get past Max and Leclerc made another mistake when he was trying to overtake Max missing the braking point and allowing Max to pull away..
    And for the last +35 races Max has finished he was on the podium apart from Turkey 2020...and last year apart from Hungary he finished at either p1 or p2 and this year every race he finished he won 🤯🤯😂 thats crazy to think abt...he's not making mistakes for almost 40 races

    Charles better take it easy with the aggressive race starts wearing his tyre out, cause max seems to be watering his lawn right now🤔

    perez was having engine issues, he was down in power, he couldn't pass 290 kph, this should have been a 1-2 for redbull again

    It's a combination of things, the RB was better with the mediums thanks to an excellent interpretation of the tracks data by the team, but Max is really operating at a very high level currently, the way he's managing his races since the beginning of the season is exceptional!
    Especially considering he had his FP sessions compromised.
    Now, talking about why Leclerc couldn't get by with DRS, it's because Verstappen was extremely good out of slow corners, while preserving his tires at the restart in the zone he couldn't get attacked!
    Also, the DRS advantage at this track wasn't that big.

    Red Bull was a little better in the race, but Ferrari have their first major upgrades coming next race, we’re just getting started this season! And think about the budget cap, if Red Bull spend too much on early upgrades, they might not be able to keep up with Ferrari towards the last half on the season. Red Bull are especially good at straight line speed, and at this track that helped a lot. At some tracks though, it could be a disadvantage because they don’t have the cornering speed of the Ferrari
    I still want max to take it but I think it’ll be very close over the whole season!

    Checo did good and by having problems with the sensor(losing power) thats why he couldn’t pass carlos on the straights 😌

    To answer your answers
    1.The RedBull was indeed the better car this track because of the upgrades they brought in Imola and the low downforce setup
    2.Charles is still leading the championship
    3.Ferarri will bring a big upgrade for Barcelona

  • @chady1229

    Well Perez was also down on horsepower because he had that issue earlier so had to switch to a slower setting

  • @PINGPONGBANDIT
    @PINGPONGBANDIT Před 2 lety

    Every pilot sets up the car differently, even if they have the same upgrades. For example, Sainz said in an episode of beyond the grid that he prefers a car that understeers, since he's better at helping the car turn in from understeer than he is at controlling one that oversteers..

  • @ForzaPolska06
    @ForzaPolska06 Před 2 lety +4

    Perez had a power unit problem that left him running in low engine mode (30hp less) for most of the race
    And also Red Bull have massive straight line speed advantage on Ferrari

  • @SergeantAveryJohnson

    could you react to the silver vs red war 2017 between vettel and hamilton. One of vettels bests seasons for ferrari but unluckly ferrari failed him that season

    If it was just the red bulls being faster, Checo would be on the podium. My take on it...

    • @Nameis404

  • @sybrenwouda6453

    U go the red bull is faster on the straights because of their engine, but ferrari makes that up in the corners, so over 1 lap they are pretty much equal, but leclerc is slower on the straight so he needed to get a little closer to make a move on the straight

    • @sybrenwouda6453

      Its so funny that for years its always been the red bull was faster in the corners and the Merc faster on the straight, and this year its the other way around, where the red bull is faster on the straight and the opponent (Ferrari in this case) is better in the corners..

    Alfa Romeo car actually is better just the team is not good enough and his teammate with all the respect to him isn't the best benchmark for Bottas
