She’s smarter then Lena 🤣 she knew right away lol
Lena’s not an alien though

That is a great example of a child actor performing professionally. Alex still doesn't understand what having powers is like for Kara, so she has no clue how to help Esme. That Alex thought super hearing would be an easy place to start shows how clueless she really is after all this time. Kara is naturally much better with her new niece that Alex is with her new daughter.
The child actor is so good.
Super hearing is a terrible place to start. The better the hearing the more difficult and a bad first start it is. A better place would be some flying in a soft environment or testing small levels of super strength
In Superman and Lois that was literally the worst part of new Kryptonian powers. Didn't Jordan have to spend like a whole week inside in agony when he got his?
@@JuMixBoox wait I'm just on episode 4 right now... Jonathan gets powers too??
@@gaurikakhosla5011 Oops, mixed them up
kara's face when she heard the car crash was like " seriously why cant people just drive carefully for one day
What lena took 3 seasons to esme cost less than a second
Omg Esme figured it out in just 5 seconds
@@alexplays_roblox1k373 what thing?
@@Fer_-eg9sx Kara’s identity
@RG87 yup
Exactly
The fact that a little girl could figure out Kara's identity in less than a minute is too hilarious 😂
It's Amazing How Someone so Young as Esme Managed to do What So Many Older Couldn't. Find Out that Kara & Supergirl are one in the Same in Microseconds.
Kids' logic is simpler and more straightforward than an adult. So for her "Looks like Aunt Kara, acts like Aunt Kara, Sounds like Aunt Kara, must be Aunt Kara!!"
she can sense powers so thats ho she was able to figure it out
@@RBRoss-jn1sh That's the big clue. They did something similar in Smallville, and I imagine there have been others. A meta with the ability to see auras or lifespans as an aura was introduced to Clark and saw a blinding light. And then he met Superman that had the exact same aura. When you can see something that can't be masked that is very unique to a person, it makes it much easier to connect the dots. Heck, there are lines of dialogue you can find in all sorts of double identity stories where someone says something that can only reference one other person, so it's a huge hint in-universe.
Plus she is an alien.
I'm mad that they didn't make Lena figure it out so i just chalked it up to her not wanting to think anything was weird with Kara and denying it
Alex doesn't seem to know the first thing about teaching someone something, much less super powers... "if you push through, you'll get it."? No... study smarter, not harder!
Kid is mastering hearing faster than Jordan did.
I like Alex's child she is so adorable and funny.
Right we need more of this
If super powers are anything like Autism sensory overload then Alex was pushing this girl way too hard.
I hear it quite a lot, i'm Hypersensitive to sound and people who aren't just don't understand the limitations. telling you to push through, ignore sounds or that with time it will get better if you just work at it. it hurts, gives you a headache and when you are tired it is even more difficult.
Alex seemed to be acting like there was a quick fix to this, but there isn't. pushing her while tired wasn't going to make this any better- it just meant her concentration was shot
Yah. People try to tell you to handle it the way that they think they would when they have no experience with your situation.
The trick with most children is to give them a rest and remind them that they are in a safe place until encouraging them to try again. I used to be a bike instructor and what worked for some kids definitely didn't work for others, but it's s about adapting, listening, and remaining compassionate. That being said, I had my own limitations and asked for help with some kids because I recognized that I, myself, wasn't clicking with them. The whole time I watched Alex, I was cringing. Telling kids to "just pull through it" or "man up" or whatever isn't always the best idea.
Yep this
I’m autistic, too.
Adults who push tired kids into sensory overload like that need a timeout to sort themselves out.
They’re clearly panicking and not thinking straight.
I know I have moments of being overwhelmed by sound, i wear earplugs when it gets too much. I like Alex, but she was pushing her too fast... People who are hypersensitive to sounds, like autism, you can't just tell them to push through it, its not that simple. For people who are autistic, sensitive to sound... When there overloaded, i know because it's happened to me, it hurts, then it gets overwhelming then basically overload for the brain... Panic attack. The brain can't process all that information at once. Some things, like autism or. Dyslexia, there is no quick fix, but ways to manage it, and cope. Some things just don't simply go away. Back to the scene, since Alex wasn't going through what the little girl was, it was understandable that she didn't know that "pushing through it" doesn't work. She was trying to help her, of what works for her.
So it took her like 5 seconds but Lena 4 seasons. SMH 🤣
Yeah cuz Lena is human and Alex's daughter is an alien by still SMH on Lena 🤣
Technically Lena never figured it out 🤣. She was told that by Lex
I understand where Alex was coming from here since she has no idea what she's dealing with, but she pushed little Esme too hard here. As a highly sensitive person, I know how hard this can be to hear everything and feel everything and experience everything at a higher level than everyone else. But Kara did great here; speaking calmly and getting down to Emse's level and going at her pace. Poor Esme; she just doesn't know how complex this world is yet.
I would have started with a sound proof room first. Then focus on slowly doing stuff. Like down the hall. Guided meditation. Like this is a little kid. Kara was a saint as a teen girl and she was still scared by her powers. This is a child and can literally take on ANYTHING. Give her something baseline before you push her.
Bro a sound proof room doesnt stop them 😂😂😂 they can still hear everything outside
@@kesimukasa3621 true but in the show, season 2 it has shown to work.
@@kodileigh9210 that’s the thing these shows are not consistent with their facts, just look at the flash, supergirl isn’t as bad as the others but it still slips up like in this example cause by this season it had been shown that sound proof rooms wouldn’t stop it.
They should've tried something else. I think super hearing is too much for a child that young. Kara was much older at thirteen I think and she struggled. Plus there's alot of violence happening no child much less one that young should hear. Kara should've tried to teach Exme with speed, freeze breath. Anything but super hearing. That poor child was terrified by what she was hearing.
Esme stole the last few episodes, so cute and awesome, whoever cast her did an awesome job.
Why is everyone saying they shouldn't start with super hearing? I thought the powers came in randomly so if that's what came first for her she should learn how to control it. In Smallville, didn't Clark's speed (or strength) come first when he was 5/6? Kara's powers came in randomly too didn't they? And she was older when she got out of her pod because she was older when she left Krypton and her Clark was already an adult (on earth) but he had gone through what Esme is going through since his pod opened when he was an infant.
People have fits if it doesn’t go their way
And any power can be difficult to learn depending on the person. Kara had difficulty mastering her super strength. In Smallville, Clark seemed to get a handle on his speed fairly easily. Teaching Esme is more about giving everything a shot and seeing how she handles them. Hearing might have been the first because it's the least active. All they need to do is sit there and listen.
Kids get scared of vacuum cleaners, how's she gonna deal with car crashes and people she cant see screaming miles away....Clark and Jordan spazzed out with that and they were teens
The worst about this is the baby is bothered but he couldn't really say his xray vision was scary or his hearing didn't let him sleep. Baby Clark/superman had to be a very hard thing to live through.
@@KaLx13 at least she has someone who's gone through it and can guide her through the changes. Clark had the love and support of his family but they had no idea what it felt like. Alex would be like Clark's parents when Esme's powers develop but Kara will bridge the feelings for them so they can understand what the other is going through
It's amazing, after she moved from the heartbeat and butterfly's wings all that was out there to listen to was war or destruction. No babies, or laughing or rain or anything else. Please, I would think at her age she would have been looking to hear fun or family things.
Supergirl: My niece took one look at me and figured out my secret identity.
Flash: Welcome to my world. 😑
I was like:
SHE GOT A BRAIN
Omg the kid could look at this woman who is clearly Kara even in her costume. She has a brain.
When Alex or Kara calm the girl, this is adorable and sweet
Alex's child is funny when she's scared, sweet, adorable and cute to me. And even unique
U know after the butterfly flapping it’s wings they should have had Kara teach esme learn how to fly it would be super fun for her
I think super hearing is too much for a child her age.
agreed, kara had super hearing at age 13 and she struggled with it.
@@DM-hm5jg I would of rather they let her do the speed
But it’s important for her to understand
@@miyadeen2978 Yes, but they could do that outside the town.

I love how Esme figured it out in 20 seconds and it took Lena F*** Luthor three seasons lmao

She’s so adorable
pretty sure its on the evil overlord list, something about if a 5 year old can figure it out in less than a few minutes its a terrible plan. Star example right here
Lena right now 🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡
This little girl got her feeling like a fool
It is just a TV show. sometimes you can enjoy it without over thinking it.
Maybe Alex should let Kara teach Esme one on one.
Seeing people say Esme is smarter than Lena for figuring this out so quick and like…no? First of all the writers made it clear Lena was in severe denial in seasons 2-4 because she simply couldn’t let herself believe her best friend was lying to her or it would hurt too much, as we eventually saw. Second, If Lena knew Kara had all the same alien powers as Supergirl like Esme could sense she absolutely would’ve figured it out. Esme recognized Kara was Supergirl because of her own alien abilities that connect her to the aliens around her. I’m not saying everything is good writing in this show but this is pretty clear.
Cat hrant had an idea Kara and supergirl was the same person she never said it but it was implied lana was just so book smart that she over looked the obvious even brainy knew 😂
@@janderson947 Cat knew Kara was SG within about 2 seconds of seeing SG in person for the first time. She then spent a whole episode trying to force Kara to admit the truth a few episodes later. And she did say it at the end of season 2, so we, the audience, would know she still knew.
@@brch2 kat been knew it was obvious Kara just didn't know that kat knew 😂
Plot twist:Alex told the girl Kara is supergirl and acted surprised 😂
so how long can she mimic other people power? or is it something once tuned into, she got it forever? she gonna be OOT before she reach 16 lol
Anyone else think that Kara and or lens would be great parents?!!?! Bc I ship them
Mds ela arrumando a zebrinha para ficar sentada 🥺🥺😍
It would it help to tell her to only focus on something good
How did she know it was Kara in 2 seconds ?
She can mimic powers of other aliens. So she sensed the same powers around Supergirl that she sensed around Kara.
She not stupid she smart but I am worried about
Lena was in the other room feeling ashamed
@@LolLol-kt8cq I bet she can also mimic the powers of even metahumans on earth prime too.
They should have started with Dreamer and her dream shield
Only took Esme a second to figure out that Kara is Supergirl but it took 4 seasons and Lex telling Lena for her to find out that Kara is the girl of steel.
1:33 to 1:34 my fav part
1:52 to 1:54 my fav part too
Alex was outta pocket lashing out on Kara
1st Kara basically knows what Esme going through Alex don't second Alex you just adopted her like take a seat somewhere.
Alex doesn't listen
She's sooooooooooooooo CUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUTE!
About time Kara uses more than just spectacles to hide her identity lol
That was so funny! She got it on first try. I missed it the first time that I watch this episode.
Awwwww
All the things in the world they can hear and they just happen to listen to the same things.
Esme was my favorite part of the final season
Who is this child and what powers does she have? I haven't been keeping up with the show
Shes a type of alien that can mimic powers when nearby.
@@zoeknap9777 Which of course makes no sense when you remember that these aren't "powers" (as in mutations or extrapersonal abilities), but rather abilities based off physiology.
To what extent does it go, does she imitate the Kidney of a species to mimic their toxin filtering?
@@almightyk11 If they had a specific/enhanced immunity or resistance to something, probably. To your initial point, you should probably consider it like you mention, except that she replicates the physiology of, or moderates her own physiology to match(probably beyond her control/awareness at the molecular level), those around her.
Also, you flubbed your logic a little with relegating 'mutations' to some arbitrary phenomena to the effect of 'powers' rather than considering them as 'abilities' based off the _biological_ physiology...
brUUuh she knew already😂
disappointed that Supergirl is auntie kara lol ... she is cute
It took Lena 5 whole seasons and it only took Esme like 5 seconds
And Lena was told, she never figured it out on her own.
I’m with Alex, however instead of learning to use all these new powers at once, she should be focused on how to stop them.
Meaning recognize when one is about to manifest and shut it down.
She is going to be around supers a lot. So she needs to know when that feeling comes over her, to stop, think and not do it.
If she can’t, then use it as safely as possible,
Redirect it.
Her own parents would have her do this. As well as focusing on one Super’s ability at a time.
Super hearing may seem easy to control but it’s not. It’s overwhelming if you have not heard these sounds before.
Hell no Alex was outta pocket
@@kobrathadon4956 - all the more reason to take one power at a time. Learn it and then move on to the next one.
This is still a child who can throw a temper tantrum with disastrous results.
"Adopted alien child" yo that's her niece 😭
The kid is cute the idea is nice, But it felt very slow or off. This show has became very odd, Supergirl use to not be so
"I'm Supergirl look at me" She never really showed off in front of kids or adults it seemed like she prefered Kara and only became Super when needed here it just feels like it's her only personality 😬🤢
I want to know how Kara knows what Esme is hearing. It's not like they're sharing a set of ears.
_Is Esme a new Kryptonian or Daxamite?_
Lo espero subanla a móvile +
Why start with super hearing? Because budget.
I still don’t understand how they expected people to not identify SG. I mean they should’ve at least covered her face
What episode and season is it
So the kid's a kryptonian?
Good thing they didn't start with heat vision.
Is the little girl also krypton I haven’t seen the new episodes yet
Something is suspicious about this little girl🤔
Alex is so terrible. At everything. It's a true superpower.
SUPERMAN WONDER WOMAN SUPERGIRL WELLINGTON
I always thought that Kara should have used the easy power on Esme rather then super hearing but now I noticed that NON OF THE POWERS are easy AT ALL
Levitating.
Is she kryptonian
Realistic. I mean you'd be able to tell Barry's the flash, Bruce Wayne is batman, wally is kid flash etc the only reason why they don't is because of how they act when not being superheroes. Batman always has ladies and never actually dates them just sleeps with them acting like a playboy. Barry is the least athletic person so no one can imagine him as a speedster who literally has athletic powers 😂
Even thought Alex was being supportive and encouraging esme she was a tad pushy here.
En español
Lol the writers did Lena so dirty!
What is the kids Power
what type of alien is esme
whos the child and how she hs power
You know I always wondered that part at 1:05 if kryptonians only receive their powers when there's a yellow sun around then shouldn't their powers not work during the night?
there cells store the energy of the yellow sun so they are still effective at night and for a while if the sunlight is blocked.
Kryptonians are like Solar Panels and batteries. During the day and in direct sunlight they absorb the energy into their bodies. Their bodies store that energy like solar batteries and can retain that energy for a very long time without needing to recharge for a while. However things like red sun and kryptonite can drain those reserves at a much faster pace.
What kind of Alien is Esme?
I have no idea, but she mimics the powers of other aliens
they said in the episode, but it’s a really long word so i didn’t catch.
Maybe sorta like peter petrelli who has empathic mimicry or power replication esme can copy whoever is near at the time so fire alien you get fire esme or supergirl you get super esme i dont think she retains the power once the person is out of range or possibly just a copy cat
Esme is a 'Dyralian', which is most likely based off of Durlans in the comics. I have a sneaking suspicion they are either setting her up to be a version of Chameleon Girl (a durlan), or one of Chameleon Girl's ancestors. Chameleon Girl was a member of the Legion of Super Heroes, alongside Brainiac 5.
