They're all Indo-European isolates (the only member of each's subgroup) which make them quite fascinating.
well, that's not exactly true....
they're the only surviving member of their respective sub group of IE that is a major language of a nation-state and which is still spoken today....
all is paleo balkanic

I've always found Albanian a very interesting language because it's so unique and different. I love unique languages but the issue is that there aren't many free online materials to learn from and it's usually just very basic level.
I don't know where you come from but I would suggest buying a dictionary or some teaching method of the language you speak. If you speak any foreign language, for example Italian, English, German, Greek, you can find many books in these languages that Albanians usually learn the languages I mentioned above.
@@ermirdestani I'm Croatian.Yes, I see what you mean and I usually use materials in English for learning other languages and I meant to say that most online books and websites that are free, just teach very basic phrases and words.

Now we got Chatgpt. It could be a pretty useful tool to practice with foreign language.(it has Albanian or not? If not other A.I. could help)

Our Linguistic split was more recent than the Albanic/Illyrian language
The Greek invasion of Asia Minor, including the Caucasus, created a mixture
Albanian has something very unique that makes them oldest Europe language !
Albanian translated all biblical , elements of importance , ancient Gods and many basic things as once life was very basic , don’t wait the oldest language to have word such “computer” , Albanian is oldest becouse gheg and tosc as two unite language Albanian branch with origin from gheg have the majesty to translate all the most important word as I mention since life beginning !
Gjarpri (gja+ pri) smth that rules or lead and from word gj=something mean word gjaku (blood)
Zoti (your voice ) or God
Je Zeus Cristu( je zot kri isht) meaning you are god you’re the ruler or leader !
Alban or arben (mean smth bright or white ) similiar to sun or sol invictus!
Diell (sun) Albanian 7 day is called diell (Sunday ) and diell comes from (know + star ) di=know/knowledge and ill (yll) is the star (even yllirian star in Albanian two head of eagle of scanderbeg old stem)
Alexander (is born by the dream )
Uji (water ) in Albanian comes from two basic you and me two elements as well make H20 important elements for water !
Deti (meaning sea) and in Albania de + ti ( mean De=dehem=seasick from sea and ti=you)
Ti = you = ti i or ni mean the first ‘
Latin takes the te/ti from yllrian mean the first you !
Names such biblical PIETER (pi+eter) from the fathers meaning man was created from the stone or ground and this comes word Peter or Pietra (ston) !
Era (mean wind in Albania ) as new era or new wind (referring to Zeus as well)
ZJARR (pronounced Ziarn(similiar to fire)
Mean Zi=boiling and ar=gold !
And more and more very old important word that now I am very tired to type on my pc …
So Albanian has the life secret in it
Like example they have GOAT (Zot) pronounced same as god and Albanian called Goat (DHIA) meaning in Albanian (knowledge) and Amathia( mean my goat) a ma (amja-emja meaning my in English )
So too much coincidences but this is truth !
Truth = vertet in Albanian comes from Ver +tet (meaning put your father ) as the pray father son and Holy Spirit !
Spirit (shpirt)
Albanian comes from two (shpi=home and ti =you) so spiritus is home of your spirit in you, other is Shpirti(spirit) from (shpi=shpie= bring to you so both meaning )
And this is life people ‘
Ajer=air and in Albania word
Ajer(air) comes from gheg Albanian
Ajer = a ere(meaning is wind )
a=is (pronounced as AA)
Ere proncuned ER)
German for Albanian are called as ALEMAGNE (meaning are born and can handle it ) so meaning are very brave!
A + LE + MANJE (is born and can handle)
Only Albanian can have LE(or LEVA) meaning born as proces of life !
BABI in Albanian comes from (ba= do and bi=bija = child or doughters)
Pussy (in Albania mean black hole or the hole in the ground to put water )
Albanian word for pussy is “paidhi” meaning “see the knowledge “ or do it similiar to word of goat into it (dhi-dhia) for this infinity as a circular represent both word !
So all this most important things of life has Albanian mostly Albania gheg dialect meaning !
Let’s say word VAMPIR Albania say it as DHAMPIR (dham=teeth and pir(pirë) mean drink ) so they suck blood from teeth…
Believe me albanian are on top 2 or securely oldest in Europe language !

6-Vets - Shest, Zesechs
8=Ut - Eight
9=Inne - Nine
10=Tas\Das Ten, Desat,Das
Both are of IE origin, with well documented traces as linguists claim. The inital 'e' is typical for Armenian, e.g. exbayr = brother.
There is also a 'k' in Cypriot Greek word for 'two'; while in Common Greek '2' is δύο (dh'yo) or δυο (dhy'o), in Cyprus it is pronounced 'δκυο' dhky'o' (-kyo instead of -yo).

“The speakers of the Indo-European language that would become Albanian and the speakers of the Indo-European language (Hellenic Albanian) that would become Modern Greek were the first to enter the Illyrian Peninsula whose languages are of relevance for modern Albanian linguistics.”:
«Nonetheless, Eric Hamp, who has been the most careful and conservative of specialists on Albanian dealing with this issue, has decided that the evidence linking Albanian to Messapic, which in turn has been linked to Illyrian, is sufficient to see Albanian as a descendant of a language to Illyrian, if not a descendant of Illyrian itself»
Eric Hamp was a legendary and renowned Indo-European linguist, as well as specialist of the Albanian language.

@@arthurjohnson9982 how? We can't make any genetic grouping since all three languages are too distantly related to be put together in a group. We can't even make geographic based grouping (like we do to the Caucassian and Papuan languages) since they're all far apart from each other.
@@arthurjohnson9982 we call it Balkanic group which has got Greek Albanian Armenian and dead Tocharian
Armenian sounds surprisingly like Turkish a little
No no no
Albanian language is the language that everybody in balkans used to speak. Even today's greeks (Arvanites/Arberesh/old albanians) still can speak albanian language, they have their own dialect which is pretty cool, but unfortunately these people are the old ones. The new generation don't have the opportunity to learn since Greece is very strict to foreign language schools especially the Albanian language. Since 70% of Greece are arvanites, it's so unfair that they are prohibited to speak/learn it due to political and religious reasons.
Greeks DNA
Ionics Greeks - ancient hellenized Athenians Anatolians DNA haplo J2
Aeolians Greeks - ancient hellenized Thessalians Pelasgians DNA haplo Ev13
Dorians Greeks-real Indo European Hellenic Maccedonians and Sparta DNA haplo R
70% is fake .. Greek DNA is heavily J2.. direct decendants of ionians greeks.
that comment is propagandistic
albanian language is the newest in balkans
And dont spread lies for Greece again.
We are tired of that guys.
Albanians jealous of the Greeks 😊
Google now "how old is Albanian language" and you will learn.
Go ask your grandparents to teach to you the language they used to speak. Unless you are part of 30% of so-called "greek" population, which means your origin is from Egypt/Tunisia/Iran/Turkey/Morocco etc.
Because, if you are part of 70%, it means you are Arvanitis/old Albanian, and Ethena a.k.a Athens in 1820 used to speak Arvanitika/Albanian.
If it burns, apply cold water in the burned area.
Albanian sounds harsh like Turkish mixed with Slavic
Albanian is actually closest related to armenian because they were once neighbors till the ottomans deported them from caucasus to the balkans.
ahahahhaha nice try sllav
No, the Caucasian Albanians have nothing to do with Balkan Albanians, in fact, Caucasian Albanian wasn't even a Indo-European language, it was a Nakh-Dagestani language.
@@Nastya_07 so why you called albanian?you thiefs
@@Nastya_07 You Mean Northern Caucasian Languages
Three isolated language. Albanian is a illirian language with middle caucasian influence. Greek is a ancient balkan language. Armenian is caucasian language with middle east influence.
The Armenian language is not Caucasian. Armenian Indo- European language
Armenian can be similar to Persian and Greek
Not similar. Is very different language and very unique. It's similar with Italian and Spanish but and again is different and unique. You listen someone to speak Greek and you say that's Greek language
@@KostasJohansson Have you heard about the theory of the Armenian-Greek language?
@@KostasJohansson if you are interested, you can read
The three languages are vastly different and loosely related.
Armenian hails from Northern Iran and so it is no surprise it is the closest to the ancient Avestani language of Persia.
Armenian even shares a lot of basic word vocabulary with Urdu and Hindi.
A lot of modern pseudo-linguists want to promote the idea that Armenian is similar to Greek but the loan words that entered the Armenian language from Greek can be counted on the fingers of two hands and this happened via the Turkish Language so no, Armenian and Greek are not similar (just as Russian and Portuguese or Frisian and Bulgarian are members of the same broad family and are vastly different the same applies to Greek and Armenian).
Albanian hails from the Caspian sea region but the migration to the Balkans and Southern Italy was very early.
It was significantly impacted by Illyrian , proto Greek dialects and proto (Turkic) Bulgarian but in its relationship to modern Greek it was mostly a one way street with Greek borrowing words from Albanian, not vice versa.
Albanians do not come from Caspian sea region. That is a hoax propaganda theory by Serbs with 0 proof backing it up. We are paleo-balkanic people
you make no sense
Armenian indeed has a huge amount of Iranian loanwords, and some of them can be also found in Hindi. Still Armenian itself is not an Iranian language.

I think you are referring to Farsi which itself is an offspring of the Avestani Language.
The Avesta is the Holy Book of the Zoroastrians and it is written in the ancient Avestani Language.
Armenians were also Zoroastrians until the 4th Century CE and they too read from the Avesta during their drive to convert the inhabitants of Anatolia and the Southern Caucasus to Zoroastrianism in the 350 -380 years before the conversion.
It is in this light that we should understand the linguistic tie to the Arya language family that stretched from central Anatolia in the West to Afghanistan and India in the East.
Hahahah caspian sea region, of course kejt familjen be ta dhefsha
