I make 118k a year (yes for real). Single no kids. I spend my money on meal prep company each week (don't cook), I invest in stocks and crypto, and live very minimal. I still drive my 2016 Honda and live well below my means. Every so often I'll splurge on a trip or something, but people that make half as much as me spend more than I do lol. They have the nice cars and wonder why I'm still driving the Honda 🤷♂️
@Investors motivation how can I reach her too please
In Today’s era of volatility, there is no other way but to re-invent. the only sustainable advantage you can have over others is agility, that’s it. Because nothing else is sustainable, everything else you create, somebody else will replicate
Most people today have been having a lot of failures in forex and crypto because of poor orientation and bad experts
@@dhanistock7618Point of correction friend... It's not ignorance but high rate of unscrupulous in the market...
I do see it that forex and crypto trading is one of the profitable money exchange services that elevates investors and their financial status.
Without reasonable doubt it's has been the most profitable online, if only you could find an helpful guide with orientation and signals. that we work you through the process needed.
But it's been falling for a while now and it might increase or decide to increase soon. The truth is no one knows, I believe it's the right time to make purchase.
I think financial education should be a required course or courses in high school, which would really help teens understand how money and investing works.
This is stuff that we actually need to use in life. Not some stupid calculus class
This will never be taught in school wake up
I went to public high school in New Jersey where taking a financial literacy is mandated. The people who most needed the help did not pay attention in class. I did and got some good tips from it but nothing will top all of the financial education I received from my parents.
The same people who say that are the kids that would be sleeping in that class. If you don’t have bills to pay you’re not going to care about financial education.
We’re acting like 14-18 year olds would sit and learn about that
Leila is so inspirational. Love her channel!
Girl, yes!!😍 I love following you and your story. I was so happy to see you pop up here on Millennial Money! Crushing it and so inspiring to watch!
Congratulations Leila for making it to CNBC. Great content
So so happy to see Leila! She has one of the best budget channels on YT.
I faithfully watch Leila’s transfer tuesdays! So inspiring 💕
Thank you so much for featuring my financial journey!! Huge shoutout to Greg Dukes for shooting all this content! 🙌🏻
Congrats!!
Awesome video Leila!! Always inspiring, congrats girlie 🙌
Leila, this is awesome! What an exciting opportunity for you, congratulations!!!
Congrats to being featured!! Love your videos!
Happy to see you here, congrats!
The math ain’t “mathing”! At $81K a year she’s not going to have $6391/mo to budget. What about the taxes she has to pay? Federal and state?
She puts the taxes within her budget. She worked at a job where the company didn’t do it for her previously so it is a habit to include the gross and taxes withheld within the budget itself for her - I watch her channel lol 😂 if you’re wondering how I know
@@AlliNW0nderland. what’s her channel?

If you go to the details of this video, she lists other income streams.
@@HartfordCraft
Other income streams should be assessed in your overall budget. She doesn’t live off of 87k a year, if she makes an additional 15k. Instead she is living off of over 100k.
love seeing the Iranian representation!! She seems like she's really educated herself about finances and cracked down. Props to Leila! I like how realistic this is and shows others that finances can be managed well at any source of income if done right.
Wow! I went to school with her in Georgia State also majoring in pre med biology. Like her I didn’t keep going with my initial career goals. Instead I became a respiratory therapist and since the pandemic I’ve doing out of state contracts making six figures! Glad to know how she’s been doing since then.
You weren’t her ex were you? Bc screwing someone over with a car payment is not cool dude

Before you criticize, please watch her latest "March 2022 Finance Update" video. She clarifies that THESE NUMBERS ARE NOT CORRECT! She had provided her money breakdown to CNBC and they still messed it up....
Omg I love ya'll!! ❤️ ❤
Like Fox news would have got it any better. Leave your pro-Trump racism out of it lady, it’s disgusting.
Love Leila’s channel!! So cool to see her on here!💕
What’s her channel
"Decatur Where Everything Is Greater ". Great video. Much respect about being transparent about cosigning and the consequences of the financial misstep. Blessings.
Omg so happy to see how far Leila has come in her journey in a little over a year. Congratulations on all the wins and thank you for the transparency and being such an inspiration.
This is probably one of my favorite episodes of MM because it is so realistic. She has a relatable job with a normal salary, and her bills are so much on point compared to some of the other episodes. I’ve actually stopped watching a lot of them because they try to tell me the person puts 3k a month away in savings, only has $250 in credit card spend and spends $300 a month on food which includes groceries and going out. Oh and they either don’t have any student debt or they only graduated with 5k. This person is someone I would actually want to get financial advice from.
Why would you want advice from someone like yourself? lol
Inspiring story Crohns is tough but $1000 discretionary is crazy for someone who wants to be financially independent by 40s
Ya'll these numbers are wrong 😫😫😫
So excited to see another microbiologist on here too! Research can pay very well if you get into industry. Government (some) and academia not so much. Loved this video
LEILA..wow...you made it over here to CNBC..wow..awesome..congrats...so happy for you
Leila, Thank you for sharing your journey. 🏆👑
I’ve been watching Leila for almost 2 years now and she’s given me so much inspiration not just financially but healthwise as well. This girl is amazing and I’m so happy she was featured ☺️💕 (even tho they messed up her numbers 😂)
Leila is awesome. She’s doing a great job.
I’ve been subscribed to this girl for a long time, it’s crazy seeing her on here.
Decatur is where it's greater!! I live a mile from downtown and love it. Amazing food, art, and people. Crazy amount of development going on in the area.

I love Leila’s channel! ❤️ I’m so glad to see her here
Thats Leila!!!! So proud of you!!!
❤❤❤
Leila very impressed on how you are learning from your mistakes and moving forward, and also making a side hustle to help other people with there finances as well! Love to see it. Congrats on your growth. You should be very proud of yourself!
I don't want to say she has not had her own struggles and I'm glad she has overcome many of them. Every one has difficulties they work through. Maybe it's the title, and the marketing for this video, but this seems very normal. This is a fair bit of money to live off of and I know many people that do so. I lived on much less for about a decade. Maybe it's the audience it is targeted to though, as if it's suppose to be shocking. It does seem like there may be some kind of confusion with the actual money this person makes and the video's reporting on it. Once again congrats to her, but this seems very reasonable.
I said the same thing. I did not start making 80k until my late 40s. At 28 I was broke and check to check on way less.
NEVER co sign with anyone!
Learned the hard way! A mistake I’m currently paying for.

Woo so great to see Leila on here! She's been a huge inspiration in motivating me to invest more and to be more on top of my finances =)
Ok so if she is spending $6391 a month. She is making more then 81k a year.

@3:30 that part she mentioned about investing and paying off debt at the same time, I have the same mentality. That’s one of the reasons I subscribe to her, I’m happy she made it on CNBC Make it.
That's not what financial CZcamsr's preach though. First pay off debt, then concentrate on investing.
@@mirabella2154well high ir debt you should probably pay off first, then you can simultaneously pay off low ir debt and invest. compounding will outpace the interest if you invest well
@@jeremyaquino4961 you got it wrong. The low interest loans (mortgage, car payments) should be paid off first, since they take longer to pay off. Then focus on the credit card ones. This is fairly simple stuff guys
@@mike48084 hahaha this has to be bait but im willing to fall for it
Doesn’t make too much sense to me moneywise since the interest you pay on debt is higher than the surplus from investment. But it’s indeed a mental thing to get used to saving a bit up. Realistically it’s more useful to pay off debt and get an emergency fund before investing in anything
Only 28 years old but full of life experiences and gained so much wisdom. This young lady is going places. You can tell nothing is going to stop her from reaching her goals.
Thank you so much!! ❤️
I spend way too much time checking my bank accounts and this ridiculously complicated spreadsheet that I've set up to track my finances. Glad to hear that I'm not the only one.
Oh yeah, I spend soo much time on my finances 😂 But I find it quite fun!
Me too. And it’s only gotten worse as I got rich. It’s unhealthy
Just use personal capital
Yeah I second Personal Capital for investment and net worth tracking. Mint is a bit bettter at budget tracking and auto classifying linked credit / debit card transactions into budget categories.
@@dlod8371 I'm not a fan of linking my bank accounts with other companies. I use Quicken as well.
Yay! Leila! Too cool 😎
If her take home pay is $6,391 monthly that Is well over 100k per year
I followed her for about 2 years and she is so level headed. Nothing bad to say about her. However it does seem like there are some inaccuracies with CNBC reporting her story…that’s unfortunate.
Clearly jealous
This is exactly why community college is important and it’s also important to not buy a brand new car or a car that’s really expensive if you don’t have the funds don’t sleep on used cars!!!
This was a great episode, I love to see something realistic like this that includes a side hustle with their 9-5.
It is funny how you think co-signing for a car with someone who is domestically abusing you is realistic.
She tried to drown her ex in court charges. POS.

The truth is more important than the facts.. I’m exigent on productive information on how to possibly create wealth with my $250K good enough to retire. What’s your say on this approach?
Our perceptions of your approach influence how we interpret, understand, and act on the truth. My opinion on this should be you get yourself an aid cause most successful ones seek the knowledge and skills of professionals and claim to achieve their success without any prior help
@Harry Scott Great! got it
Every wealth management firm has its own set of operations and specialties which will surely suit your plan, these cover a vast range of topics, including long-term planning, estate planning, strategic tax planning, retirement planning, insurance planning, and many others.
She sounds really responsible and I am proud of this complete and total stranger
Really tho! If she can make progress on so many aspects of her life, overcoming various challenges, we can too 😫👌🏾
Thank you for have a realistic income and realistic expenses on here. Most people on this channel have total bs figures (mostly on underestimating expenses). Best of luck Leila!
I resonate so much with this girl! Good for her for clearing almost all that debt out!
Education in many countries do not included financial, this is the biggest problem in our society for our young generation.
Not being a hater. Wish her the best. But you do not take a home a net of $6,391 monthly while making $82k annually.
Yeah these numbers are off 😩
Maybe her CZcams/blog income is being considered before taxes are taken out? But agree it doesn’t add up….
Glad someone commented on this! I make more than her and my take home monthly pay isn’t that high so I was like, hmmmm
@@Audreylin29 they seem to almost always mess up on this :/
She probably didn't consider taxes. Going to see a big bill at the end
Healthy food, exercise, and medical care will always be a good investment. Glad to see someone taking care of their body and being open about their health. She seems super savvy and like she's learned hard lessons young. Great episode!!
Very inspirational for new millennials!
Never purchase anything with a boyfriend or girlfriend
She’s amazing ❤
When your favourite CZcams is featured! Congrats Lelia!
So happy to see Leila here! She's great, you should definitely check out her two youtube channels!
I appreciate how realistic this video is! Also so impressed with how she has moved past her money mistakes and learned from them.
This makes no sense, her yearly take in is 75k/12 = $6250 a month before taxes ... her budget is $6391 a month. The bonus is 10% of 60k, so 6k one time a year.
Definitely does not add up unless the $81k is after taxes. $60k + $6k + $15k is $81k but divided by 12 that's $6750?
She might have some side gig income going on?
A few people here and she mentioned it as well on her channel - the show messed up her numbers in the video.

Omg Leila!!!!! Yesss I have been watching her for a year! Wooo get it girllll represent us female out here! 🎓 💰
❤❤❤
She seems great and it's nice to see how she still keeps a very positive attitude despite the financial and medical setbacks. Her goal of finishing off her debt payments by the time she is 30 is great. Though I would say, her budget does stick out in the sense that she is not dedicating anything (unless its the $700 towards saving) to her taxes. At that income, $6.4k is what she would make if she didn't have to pay any taxes.
These numbers aren't accurate 😫 my taxes are taken care of!
@@PersonalFinancewithLeila do you know why they put in the correct number?
This makes me so sad. In Canada I take home about 90-95k and my monthly budget is only $4700 because the rest is taxes. ($4700 based on 2 pays per month, the 3 pay months I count as bonuses)
