- It’s time to transition Ezra from 2 to 1 nap. I’ve been slightly dreading this because I’ve heard it’s a tough transition and I don’t know how he’s going to stay up for 5 hours at a time! In this video, I take you through the first few days of the transition and my strategy behind it. For some background, I follow Taking Cara Babies and use wake windows.

Just recently found your channel. Thanks for the detailed explanation. ❤ from Toronto
So well explained!! Enjoyed watching your videos ❤
For those that don't follow wake windows, I can image how all this could be confusing. But I'm following your explainations!!
I'm also on the look out for cues for our 2-to-1 transition 👀. So far our 2 naps are still good and no early or MOTN wakings. 7am wake, 10:30am-12pm nap, 3:30pm-4:30pm nap, 7:30pm bedtime. This was helpful!
We are trying to transition to one nap but it's very tricky as my son has been waking for the day at 5am the last few months! I Was just wondering what time you gave lunch? So hard to know whether to do it before or after the nap if the nap is around 11/11.30.
oh no! I hope it gets better, I know for us it took almost a month for the naps to even out. for lunch, I would usually give it before the nap if the nap was around 11/11:30 because I didn't want him to be hungry. If anything, just serve a little less because they might not be fully hungry or serve a lighter breakfast and no morning snack to make them more hungry for an early lunch.
