My son is 2 years old. We have used the no cry method since birth. There have been some incredibly frustrating, tired and crazy nights. But I’ll have you know that most of the nights have been incredible moments of bonding and learning about each other. Now he likes to cuddle for 5-10 minutes and get up on his own, crawl into bed and pass out. I wouldn’t change any of it, it’s been a great adventure and he has felt loved and safe the whole time through.
I tried different methods (except the cry out) to sleep training my oldest but he would resist anyway, not to mention the sleep deprivated I was. Then the second one and I choose nursing and co-sleep with him (his crib next to our bed) and both enjoy it no regrets ... now they’re preschoolers, they love their own bed, and they’re the active and outgoing kids in the block! My recommendation is don’t left them in exhaustion, don’t left him unattended, how many kids die in her crib, this season is hard but it’s short, soon they will fly. If you give them the best of yourself you will harvest the best too... God loves the little children
Thank u so so much..🙏🏼u hv no idea how much this was needed to me…I actually am very exhausted cz hvnt slept through the night from 13 months…my baby us very used to sleep by nursing only so i hv to feed him evry time he wakes up…i co slip with him…so this morning i decided that i cnt do this anymore so just an hr ago i trued CiO method n it went terribly by seing him cry for me I quit in 10 minutes…so nw i dnt knw hw long this will be like this
@@iamwhoyousayiam6773 het good news is here i hv finally started to sleep through the night when my baby was 14 months as i stopped breastfeeding him he quickly started to sleep all night long as there was no reason for him to wake up
Cry-it-out was recommended everywhere I looked/read when my first was born. Years later, I still have horrible feelings of sadness, guilt, regret, and anger for trying it. It was so extremely painful and unnatural, but the “experts” push so hard that it’s the best thing for you and your baby.

Hello I'm training baby by ferber method.on first day of nap training if baby don't sleep on first attempt then we take a break of 30-60 minutes and try for second attempt but my didn't sleep in that second attempt also..so my question is we have to continue keep trying in that same day for third attempt or we should try on next day.. please reply as soon as possible
We did ferber with my boy if we knew for certain he wasn't awake due to over/under tired or sickness. He has bad ears so crying is really bad for ear drainage. It was perfect during regression and now at 18 months he points to crib for nite nite and sleeps 11 to 12 hours
Hi there ladies!, you are all amazing and keep doing what your doing, just need some advise, we are trying this CIO method, my wifes support is not great she understandably is giving up although this is going to benefit her the most, quick questions, when she has a nap im guessing we should also put her in the crib, but when do we take her out like i dont want to take her out when shes awake and crying as she might think iv cried and they have taken me out, same thing after he nights sleep when is the right time to take her out and most importantly the first night she slept in a seating position where she has been holding the sides and then fell a sleep and she had a stiff neck, this was heartbreaking to see, what are your recommendations on the back of this please thank you so much all any help would be greatly appreciated.
Hey IIyas! CIO method is actually not a method I teach in my courses. If you decide you would like to continue with a CIO method, I recommend finding a plan you can follow! If you would like to try a leave and check or stay in the room method, my Baby E-Coaching will walk you through all the steps of what to do when baby is crying and when to take him out of the crib! littlezsleep.com/baby
Thanks for your videos!! My 9.5 month old settles by rocking or nursing to sleep which needs to change- I tried all types of gentle training (I have to stay with him as he climbs the crib and injures himself) he cries to the point where his stomach gurgles and sounds like he’s going to throw up. He’s a very gassy baby and he then proceeds to burping for 30 min!!! I currently pat his back as he cries for 5 min then pick up and soothe until he’s drowsy then start again- but almost always I end up rocking him as it gets to the point where he’s so inconsolable even as I’m rocking him then he gets over tired and wakes every hour! Is sleep training just not for my little guy? Thanks for your help!
Hi, how thing are doing now? Which method worked the best for you? I have a 6 months baby and my situation is EXACTLY like yours… I don’t know what to do… please, help!
@@universeamor5332 just seeing this now for some reason- so my little guy is now almost 3 and unfortunately still needs help going to sleep. (One of us has to sit in bed with him until he falls asleep) sleep training wasn’t for him as he would get so worked up he would make himself throw up even only crying for 30 seconds! We rocked him until he was 16 months (then I got pregnant again and had to stop) and we then laid him down and would pat his bum. Then at 22 months we moved him to a big boy bed so we could lay with him as I was too pregnant to stand over a crib for so long. He also still takes about 30 min to go to sleep. Sometimes you just gotta do what you gotta do so everyone can get some sleep! I wish you all the best! Kids sleep is the worst! Whoever came up with the expression sleep like a baby to say they got good sleep clearly never had a baby lol!

Just wondering does the same method apply to twins. Should I place them in separate rooms for sleep training because right now, they're sharing the same room in their own cribs.
Hey James!! Great question. You can use any of these methods for twins! Check out my video all about twin sleep training here: littlezsleep.com/blog/5-sleep-training-tips-for-twins/
What is you tried the Ferber method but you can’t handle your baby crying? I was on the third night and I gave up and snuggled him. He was screaming crying and 4 months. It broke me.
Hey Amber! Great question. If Controlled Cry or Ferber methods aren't for you or your family I would recommend researching a "Gentle Sleep Coach" who would provide other methods.
Is your program successful for twins sleeping in the same bedroom? I have some friends who desperately need help and I feel like your program would be so good for them
Hey there! YES! All of my courses can be done with twins. My support team actually works with twin families very often! How can I teach my baby to self sooth? I want to be able just put him down and leave the room. I also feel that he is still too young to be sleeping for long stretches at a time because I worry that it will affect my milk supply. PLEASE HELP this first time mama out.

Hi Maria! A baby cannot self soothe until 16 weeks, as a result we cannot do any formal sleep training until then. When you do decide to sleep train, you will want baby to be out of the swaddle so they can move their body and self soothe. If you are looking for some strategies to help your newborn sleep, check out my Newborn Course! littlezsleep.com/newborn
Help!! My 5 month old wakes every 30min to an hour ALL night! I’m trying Ferber but my baby usually falls back asleep on his own after less than 5min of crying each time, but how do I get him to stop waking up every 30min. I came into the room and he was crying very hysterically, trying to climb up the crib, I tried to shoosh and comfort and rub his back, at this point, he was actually shacking and climbing up my arm. You say that protesting is normal and crying, but feels like its beyond a protest...

There are 4 methods to sleep train that all sleep training programs utilize. Here at Little Z's we use the leave and check and stay in the room method. Ferber is a version of the leave and check method, but with that method time is increased between checks and that is not how we use this method in my courses!
Hey there! I would recommend choosing the method that fits with your parenting style and is best for your family. In my Baby Program, I teach the leave and check method for a one year old. littlezsleep.com/baby
can you use any of these methods on a newborn? I'm going to be a new mama in a couple of days and I am learning about babies. Also which method is the best for training babies to sleep, because I feel that the cry out method is a little bit harsh on babies and I don't want my child to develop some emotional issues later in life because of it. can you please give me some suggestions to help me out
Hey Yasmeen! Congrats!!! These methods can't be used until baby is 16 weeks old or older. If you are looking for education on newborns, check out my Newborn Course! littlezsleep.com/newborn
congrats on your baby. my sons 4 months old . let me tell you just go with the flow for the first few months. worry about sleep training at 5-6 months. newborns need to be fed sometimes every 1-2hours . sometimes 2-3. my son also went through a massive growth spurt and for 6 weeks he was feeding 6oz every 2 hours. everyone told me I should sleep train him. everyone told me I was doing things wrong. but when u hear a sleeping baby's tummy every two hours you know he's waking for a reason. he gained over 3 lbs in a month and he was STARVING. not to mention it seemed he had growing pains . trust yourself and you will always know best. you may get lucky and they may be a good sleeper from the start. if I have any advice - we held my son almost 24/7 for the first two months of his life . not thr best idea as now he's very heavy. whenever they fall asleep, put them down in the bassinet . don't get them accustomed to contact napping after too long . but again. you could rlly enjoy it and see no problem. everyone is different .
What about special needs children? My daughter is 4 and has Spinocerebellar ataxia and is developmentally disabled. She has only slept through the night 2 or 3 times. 😩 We have a 2 month old too, we're tired.
My grandbaby is two years old, and she is so attached to the pasifier when my daughter tries to take it she screams and cries, does anyone have any idea or suggestions on what to do?
hey there, Grewndalyn! These same strategies apply even if you are room sharing and that is because we highly recommend blacking the room out so your little one cannot see you! You can still do both the "stay in the room/chair" method and the "leave and check" if you are room sharing in a blacked-out room.
I’m a little confused. Could you clarify? You said you’re between Ferber and Camp… but earlier you said you don’t like the ferber... did you mean you do cry it out and camp?
Hey Goli! Cry it out is complete extinction. My programs do not use this method. My programs use the chair method or leave and check method depending on the age of the child. The Ferber Method is a variation of leave and check where you increase the time between checks.
I don’t think the Ferber , increment doesn’t make sense. It makes sense for an infant , because each increment allows them to cry a bit more in which in return gets them tired / worn out
Just searching how long does a four month old baby sleep then there you go i came to your channel and super happy with the result just now i tried the wake and sleep method and it works . praying that may baby will totally learn how to sleep in his own after this much love thank you
I need help. I cosleep with my little one. I also breastfeed. I'm a first time mom so I have been allowing her to use me as a pacifier. I didn't do this on purpose. I just couldn't tell the difference in the beginning. I was afraid to take my breast from her thinking I was not allowing her to feed. Now I know she is using me as a pacifier but I have continued to allow it so I can sleep. My daughter is 9 months old and I am trying to get her to sleep alone. Does anyone have any helpful suggestions?? I would really appreciate advice from experienced moms. Thanks. God bless.

I have a 2 week old baby I let him cry for 3 to 5 mins so he can go to sleep. Is that fine or should I be picking him up every night? Please help this is my first child.
Hey there! Congrats on your new baby! Newborns do not have the ability to self-soothe so they need a lot of help falling to sleep. But often they cry in their sleep and are actually not awake at all! We cannot officially sleep train until 16 weeks, but if you are looking to understand newborn sleep better and lay a great foundation for sleep, I would recommend my newborn course! littlezsleep.com/newborn
Hi Becca, I'm looking into your programm and I was wondering if it is necessary that the baby has her own room in order to follow your plan? Unfortunately we don't have a room for her and in our city is basically impossible to find a new home (yeah it sucks). Can we use your method if we share a room? Thanks
I actually don’t teach CIO! 3 months is too young to sleep train but not too young to learn basic sleep foundations! Check out our Sleep Society to get access to our Newborn Course AND videos on what changes at 3..4..5..6 months and beyond!!!
I tried the cry it out method for almost a year with out relenting and my son just turned two! No success!!! It’s never worked! I’m desperate for something!
my baby is 6 months old she was perfect at sleeping but suddenly since 1 month she hasnt sleep even the naps maximum 5 minutes and then wake up crying what should I do please

My husband won't let our almost 2 year old cry, he goes to let her sleep on him for both naps and night sleep sometime! I'm worried that she won't learn to self-soothe and this is a regression.
Hey there! There are a variety of methods so that parents can choose what works best for their family! In my courses, I teach the leave and check and stay in the room methods!
I heard that there was something called sleep training. It is supposed to help your baby to get on the right schedule when it comes to sleeping. I want to know if anyone has heard about this.
Hey Bree! Thanks for being here with us. It sounds like the CIO method wasn't the right fit for your family, and that's okay! This is why there are options!! I hope this was helpful in understanding what sleep training options ARE out there! 💛
Hey there! Actually, we do know that sleep is the foundation of our health and wellness. If a family chooses to sleep train baby there are only 4 methods available. Every family can decide what works best for them and their sleep philosophies.
My mom used to let me sleep in the floor of her room sometimes and most nights we would read together until I was tired. I grew out of it eventually :)
Rapid return technique put child in bed say goodnight come out. 1st time they come out say it’s bed time darling and put them back 2nd time say bedtime and put them back 3rd time say nothing and just keep putting them back
Hey Josh! Cry it out is a method for sleep training. But it is not a method that I teach within my courses. If you are looking to do CIO with your child, I recommend finding a plan that you can follow.
@ippos_khloros there is plenty of mental experts that have provided thr proof a human body goes through when left to cry and the high blood pressure it creates. Again, if you want to let your child figure out sleeping by letting them cry, do NOT be surprised when their personality is off when they are older. You're also a lazy parent if you let them cry.

Can you do sleep training for a 18 month old?
YES!!!! My Toddler E-Coaching is perfect for that age!
I need help! With a 1 year old, what method is best!

Wait until she's 6 months when she starts eating, because new born has be be breastfeed every 3 hours
A newborn? Are you serious? Wow. What a lucky baby.
@@coolinmac I was just asking since I'm a first time mom and I didn't know. No need for such a comment
congrats on your baby. my sons 4 months old . let me tell you just go with the flow for the first few months. worry about sleep training at 5-6 months. newborns need to be fed sometimes every 1-2hours . sometimes 2-3. my son also went through a massive growth spurt and for 6 weeks he was feeding 6oz every 2 hours. everyone told me I should sleep train him. everyone told me I was doing things wrong. but when u hear a sleeping baby's tummy every two hours you know he's waking for a reason. he gained over 3 lbs in a month and he was STARVING. not to mention it seemed he had growing pains . trust yourself and you will always know best. you may get lucky and they may be a good sleeper from the start.
if I have any advice - we held my son almost 24/7 for the first two months of his life . not thr best idea as now he's very heavy. whenever they fall asleep, put them down in the bassinet . don't get them accustomed to contact napping after too long . but again. you could rlly enjoy it and see no problem. everyone is different .
What about special needs children? My daughter is 4 and has Spinocerebellar ataxia and is developmentally disabled. She has only slept through the night 2 or 3 times. 😩 We have a 2 month old too, we're tired.

Thx for another sales pitch
My grandbaby is two years old, and she is so attached to the pasifier when my daughter tries to take it she screams and cries, does anyone have any idea or suggestions on what to do?
Hey Dora! Here is my video all about the pacifier! studio.czcams.com/users/videoV-fWNoGXtXw/edit
How would any of these works if you have to share a room with them.
hey there, Grewndalyn!
@@littlezsleep I appreciate the clarity! Thank you
This was so informative! Thank you!!
I am glad it was helpful!
Hello, what's the little z method ?
At Little Z's I teach the stay in the room and the leave and check method!
I daughter is almost 3 I wonder what would work for her?
Hey there! In my toddler and preschool programs, I teach the stay in the room method!
I don’t think the Ferber , increment doesn’t make sense. It makes sense for an infant , because each increment allows them to cry a bit more in which in return gets them tired / worn out
am i the only one who was searching for shifting videos and this appeard?
Thanks. God bless.
Hey there! I recommend my Baby E-Coaching program. It is a two week program that will teach your little one how to sleep independently for nights and naps!

Thanks
Is 3 months too young for cry it out? Can you do cry it out for naps?
I actually don’t teach CIO! 3 months is too young to sleep train but not too young to learn basic sleep foundations! Check out our Sleep Society to get access to our Newborn Course AND videos on what changes at 3..4..5..6 months and beyond!!!
I tried the cry it out method for almost a year with out relenting and my son just turned two! No success!!! It’s never worked! I’m desperate for something!
my baby is 6 months old she was perfect at sleeping but suddenly since 1 month she hasnt sleep even the naps maximum 5 minutes and then wake up crying what should I do please
Hey there! If you are wanting your little one to sleep independently for nights and naps, I recommend jumping in to my Baby E-Coaching! This is a 2 week program that gives you a plan to teach your little one to sleep!
littlezsleep.com/baby
My husband won't let our almost 2 year old cry, he goes to let her sleep on him for both naps and night sleep sometime! I'm worried that she won't learn to self-soothe and this is a regression.
My sister did the same. She still ll has a 6 year old waking up crying and crawling into her bed
what is young babies?
If I tried the extreme cry out method it be 10 mins in before my son vomits and chokes on his vomit and I'd have to rush in and save him lol
Hey there! There are a variety of methods so that parents can choose what works best for their family! In my courses, I teach the leave and check and stay in the room methods!
Is two years old to old to do the cry it out xx
I heard that there was something called sleep training. It is supposed to help your baby to get on the right schedule when it comes to sleeping. I want to know if anyone has heard about this.
Tried the cry it out and my 8 month.old just threw himself against his crib. Knocking his head so hard. I felt so bad
Hey Bree! Thanks for being here with us. It sounds like the CIO method wasn't the right fit for your family, and that's okay! This is why there are options!! I hope this was helpful in understanding what sleep training options ARE out there! 💛
@@littlezsleep I tried the Ferber and it has been going amazing! 3 nights in a row of 12 hours sleeps! Thank you ❤️
Sound like now body really know. Figure out yourself what your baba needs and work for him.
Hey there! Actually, we do know that sleep is the foundation of our health and wellness. If a family chooses to sleep train baby there are only 4 methods available. Every family can decide what works best for them and their sleep philosophies.
What about for a 6 yr old that can’t fall asleep without me in the room and still comes in my bed every night? Help!! 😭
My mom used to let me sleep in the floor of her room sometimes and most nights we would read together until I was tired. I grew out of it eventually :)
Rapid return technique put child in bed say goodnight come out.
1st time they come out say it’s bed time darling and put them back
2nd time say bedtime and put them back
3rd time say nothing and just keep putting them back
Is cry it out okay with a 6 month old?
Hey Josh! Cry it out is a method for sleep training. But it is not a method that I teach within my courses. If you are looking to do CIO with your child, I recommend finding a plan that you can follow.
I use the cry it out method on all my kids. Nothing at all wrong with letting them cry if nothing is physically wrong.
What age did you started
May not be physically wrong. But psychological is another subject.
I guess we'll have to wait and see how anxious your kids become as adults.
@@erikg88 they wont. Because my kids arent wimps
@@timbermalcolm8722 ah! Well, with that attitude, they definitely will. Good luck! 🙃
I have a 1 year old that wakes up 3x during the night. I’m doing the traditional method. Cry it out.
@Phelo Tarot Guidance how did you get on? I can see it’s 4 months since you commented. Did it work? Looking at methods at the moment…
Put baby in it’s own bed from day one and you never have to sleep train
I did that and guess what? It didn't work 🥴
@@danielareynoso.r then you didnt do it right
Not all babies are the same…have some empathy 😒
