It is my first time playing a total war game. I just got warhammer 2 and I can't seem the pick Gelt as my faction? What should I do? I downloaded mortal empires DLC but l still don't see him as an option in the menu, what should I do?
@@leonardoalfonso7080 You need to own warhammer 1 also to unlock mortal empires. Warhammer 2 only comes with the vortex mode and 4 factions. WH 1 is now on sale for 20€ which is about the best you can get.
You know, there's lots of things you expect in war. Carnage, the sleepless nights. But what they don't prepare you for is the incessant use of Fortunate Son.
It would be so sick if they had a single unit of ultra armoured mounted ram cavalry like the Dwarves in The Hobbit, the Zeppelin vehicle from the Lore and this tank.
I need more of this in my life. For my sake how much would it cost me for you to do a World Conquest playthrough on Hard/Very Hard with Dawi and the great Meme army
@Srithor It’s the only answer I can give and it's a very full statement. This is part of my history, for better or worse it belongs to me; therefore I say we.
@Srithor You can also denounce your American heritage at any age past infancy, regardless if you retain your citizenship; I don’t, I accept that everything that has happened has contributed, in small or large ways, to my being who I am, including my being American and therefore accepting it's history as my history.
@Srithor You can't own history, true. I claim history as my heritage, not as something I can copyright and market, but as something that helped form me, my home, my country, and my life. I didn’t live in that time or fight in that war, but it is my heritage, nonetheless; I claim this history as part of my own.
Juggernauts and Thunderbarges soon. But not before Rune Guardians and Rune Golems... ...AND SHARD DRAGONS. Because yes, I want the giant draconic murder ferret of an attack dog.
@@Schniedragon88 Honestly I don't see anything wrong with them getting the Shard Dragon. It, along with Rune Guardians and Rune Golems, are a drop of water in an ocean of war machines and infantry. Hell, I won't be surprised if CA adds also War Balloons, Ancestor Engines (aka: steampunk dwarf mecha as one person on the TW Forums described them), the Goblin Hewer (obligatory) and even transplanting the Deathroller from Blood Bowl and give the Dwarfs their own cavalry/chariot unit. And that's just engineering since they still have some stuff that should be implemented. In the end Warhammer is more about themes rather than standarized elements. And the Shard Dragon hits a lot of Dwarf themes and the lore behind it supports it.
If you start giwing dawi big monsters left and right, and cavalry to boot, then.... You gotta give skaven elite infantry with ironbreaker-like holding power. You gotta give vamp counts elite missile infantry and artillery. You gotta give wood elves super heavy cav. I mean, every race is supposed to have weaknesses and strenghts, and you play accordingly. Except high elves and dark elves, they get everything for some reason. Smug cunts. I feel like the greenskin update was spot on, and something similiar would be nice for the dawi. Some upgraded campaign mechanic (maybe unit upgrades similiar to ikit's workshop?), 1 legendary lord rounding them to 5 like other big bois, some anti-large options besides slayer, and ONE centerpiece big entity similiar to Rogue Idol. Preferrably something mechanical and not a dragon. Dawi play the best defense around, dragon spam isn't really that. They are still really strong, so they don't need much to become up to par.
@@KeijoAmbersson Nah. The Shard Dragons are literally the only giant monsters the Dwarfs have access to. Also Warhammer was more about themes instead of just each race having specific elements. Rune Guardians, Rune Golems and Shard Dragons go straight up under the runecraft theme (in case of Rune Guardians, the Dwarf Ushabtis go under both runecraft and engineering due to the complex mechanisms inside of them). The Rune Golems represent the apex of runic forging as Thungni, the Ancestor God of Runesmiths, taught them (he even personally forged the first Rune Golem). A power that sadly faded away before the War of Vengeance/The Beard started (the last Runelord capable of awakening them turned to stone when he tried to push it). The Shard Dragons...there is actual lore behind them on why the Dwarfs don't simply slay them and they represent that even the mightiest beast can bend to the might of the runes. In lore, Shard Dragons prowl the undergrounds like the slithery rage-fuelled nightmares they are and come into contact with other subterranean races. They attack Dwarf Holds, Skaven Burrows or Goblin Caves when they come into contact, cause chaos and destruction, and devour as many as they can before retreating back into the darkness of the underground. Dwarfs, being Dwarfs, have whole Libraries of Grudges on Shard Dragons, but instead slaying the beasts, the ancestors of theirs brought the monsters back to the surface by putting massive runic collars. Just like the Slann telepathically control the Dread Saurians, the Shard Dragons are directed by Runelords. The Runelords point the giant draconic murder ferret at a problem so to make said problem cease to exist. Preferably with enough ultra-violence and collateral damage. The only monster the Dawi will ever need and it's also pretty cool to boot. And its rules and upgrades are FUN (including the S10 Breathe of Nightmares that can MURDER low LD enemies). In case of the mechanics you wrote, I though of a rune carving system. You gain runes (either randomly from research, quests and objectives, or uncovering them in event locations ala Gotrek and Felix or River Troll Hag Food Seller events) and when you enter the rune carving menu you have a list of all the armies you have. You select the army you are interested in and select one of the units there. You get a list of runes and you first decide what you want upgraded and how many runes you need (up to three). The runes either flat-out increase the stats or add new abilities. Now imagine a Bolt Thrower that is concealed in the forest without breaking cover on attack, has Hawkish Precision, and its AP attacks are through the roof. Oh and in case of Dwarf cavalry...transplant the Deathroller from Blood Bowl. I can totally see Malakai making them a reality. And in case of elite Ironbreaker-tier Skaven infantry, the Council Guard could do it but they are a RoR only.

Okay, but have you ever tried to invade wood elves as dwarfs?
Athel Loren is the real nam
The wood elves declared war on me and won’t make peace, I’m going to actually have to fight in this vietnam lol
I've done that before it was a hell of a war. Always outnumbered suffering attrition and the trees speaking elf but I won in the end.

Need a dwarf tank in vanilla tbh, they're lacking strong single-entity units that aren't lords or heroes
@Murthor Oathstone They did. Search for Juggernaut.
It would be so sick if they had a single unit of ultra armoured mounted ram cavalry like the Dwarves in The Hobbit, the Zeppelin vehicle from the Lore and this tank.
@Murthor Oathstone they actually made one in Orc Slayer... exept said dwarf was mindcontrolled with an item by a freakish insect thing.
