- This video answers the most common question presented to Legio XIIII. Why XIIII and not XIV?
Well, buckle up for this episode as we dive into the historical evidence for the spelling of Legio XIIII. This is a long overdue video and much needed. In true Legio XIIII we dig deep into the historical evidence to present to our audience the facts. Remember to continue asking a legionary in the comments of the videos in this series! Enjoy!

Do you think that the additive way of spelling Legio XIIII might have been superstitious? Choosing the positive over the negative way of spelling?
Honestly, research seems to suggest the additive method was the preferred way.
then original legio XIV was "annihilated", then legio XIIII was raised as "replacement"
Excellent work legionary, keep it up!
Thank you!
Thanks, well done
Thanks!

Did romans really greet each other like seen in the TV series "Rome" ?
No, most of the stuff Hollywood portrays is false.
