  • When someone says they want to learn how to ride enduro, this is what it looks like😂
    We were all here at one point and as long as you are having fun that is all that matters. Today I bring my Nephson out on the CRF250F to learn some skills in the woods and progress to the next level (he ultimately wants a 2-stroke).
    I lead the way on my 2024 KTM 300 XC-W and we battle our way through the woods with a few laughs along the way.
    How many crashes can you count?

      I'm 70, on my 30th (or so) bike which is a '21 CRF250L. Riding trails alone is something I no longer do because in some situations, I can't stand the bike up after dropping it. Just too heavy.

    Go Mason! You're doing great, i can already see so much progress! This sport requires tons of grit and you HAVE IT my man!
    Keep in mind that your coach is pushing you harder than most people can handle. But if you can handle it, he will get you up to your potential faster than anyone and i promise you the journey is fun, challenging, and rewarding.
    And if that bike is still geared for highway speeds over 40mph then keep in mind that great selection will be challenging and you will likely have to slip the clutch a ton in the higher gear for those tougher climbs. And compare to Tanner, he is on the easiest bike in the world to ride in those conditions. The bike will never replace skill, but once you get the fundamentals down it is fun on a bike like that because it's easier to have more fun for a longer day.

    Cool video! Comical too 😂 can you please tell me what kind of camera mount you guys use? I'm guessing body mount camera? I live in Central Pennsylvania coal country and back in the 70s we used to climb one of the bony piles up here. There was a whole family of crazy people across the road and the Dad used to come outside and shoot at us with a shotgun. Now the BBs never reached us so we just usually flipped him the peace sign and ignored him. Please understand that this whole family was crazy and they didn't have a floor in the house. They lived on a dirt floor and had an outhouse for a bathroom. Also they kept 2 horses in the house and I remember the horses head looking out the window 😂😂 true story!

    At 1:13 you told him to use the rear brake while going through the slippery part, I'm curious are we supposed to apply the rear brake in such road conditions or the front brake? Also how am I going to apply rear brake if I have both of my feet down due to the fear of slipping/falling down?

    • @elobiretv
      @elobiretv Před 10 měsíci

      There was no need for him to have his legs sticking out like that besides him being too scared. could easily have just stood up on the pegs and used the rear brake while keeping his weight back.

    • @basicbeaver
      @basicbeaver Před 10 měsíci

      @elobiretv yeah but what if the tires slip (especially front), you're going straight to the ground. I guess the likelihood of that also depends on the condition of the tires, but if there is very less traction, I find it difficult to balance the bike and prevent it from wanting to go down.

    • @hellsregect
      @hellsregect Před 9 měsíci

      @@basicbeaver you just need to have confidence in the bike. The front wheel isn't going anywhere but down the hill. For downhill breaking you should use the rear to provide some stability and the front to slow down. Don't brake on the slippery bits, you want to be doing your braking where theres the most traction
