THANK YOU SO MUCH - I used this to print on my Happy Planner MINI page. I have spent a LONG time tonight trying to figure out how to print directly on my Mini Happy planner page - including spending 1hr on chat support with HP who told me eventually that it could not be done. After wasting all that time and over 20 planner pages and ink, looking at various videos, I found your video. I realized that while I was creating the custom page size just fine, I had selected "Borderless On". Turning that off, and making the page fit slightly under using the percentage, is what helped me finally print. I am so relieved that I don't have to take this printer back, and that I can print directly on my pages!! So again, THANK YOU so much, for making such a clear and concise video. You broke it down perfectly, and I hope more people come across this if they're having trouble.

This is an absolute game changer for me! I print out all my recipes and keep them in a Classic Happy Notes. I'd been printing them in Adobe at the 82% trick, but on Letter sized paper and then cutting it out and punching it or taping to filler paper. What a pain. Now, I can print directly onto whatever filler paper I want. THANK YOU SOOOOOOO MUCH!

YOU are a woman after my own heart!! I grew up as a very creative person, writer, doodler, fashion forward. Then college/post college life happened and my creativity took a backseat. But out of that emerged a love of data, spreadsheets and all things productivity including process improvement. I worked in retail for years and then moved on to marketing, project coordination and most recently am an executive assistant. Anyway, I've become the go to trainer wherever I work because of my love for processes. THIS video speaks to ALL sides of me! I've got a sh**ton of various printables flagged on Etsy and Pinterest. I recently just bought some heavier paper weight to print some printables but this just encouraged me to use up some of my existing Happy Planner paper. So TFS!👌
For those who have an old printer or can't figure out how to make a custom page with your printer, you can also print custom page sizes using Microsoft Word. If the printable you downloaded was a pdf, you can use a free trial of Adobe to convert it to word.

You can also use the margins to keep your images away from the edges as well. So that you can still use the percentages and/or even cut and paste with pull and drag options can help to but thank you so much this was the exact video i was looking for. Im making my daughter a handmade personalized planner and want to use the planner pages with my own stuff printed on it... Its going amazing.... Thank you so much for this video

I dont have the option to do custom page sizes. Is that bc of the printer? Thanks!
Can you use a smart phone or does it have to be a pc to change settings to the size page?
I doubt you could make those changes on a phone, best to use a computer!
Sadness... I have an HP Envy 7640 and there is no option to make a new page size... I was able to make the changes on my laser jet printer though... thanks for the tutorial!

Could you tell me what the margin size is for the holes? I'm creating my own printables and my punch hasn't arrived yet to measure it
I have no clue as I haven't measured the holes and am terrible at measuring.
I live in the UK and I don't have inches on settings probably because it depends on the region and 2nd when I convert those inches to mm it doesn't print everything on the paper but just a sentence or a paragraph . just going mental here.
Oh boo! It is per printer and I guess country too! Good to know! I hope there's a way to figure it out! It took me a lot of trial and error to figure it out on mine.

@@MojoJojoPlans it's an HP Office jet pro 6978. I've had it for a while. It still works great, but I got a notification recently that it is no longer supported. Maybe it's time for an upgrade 😜
