Pioneer DJM-750MK2 Effects Overview

- This is a quick review about the new Pioneer DJ mixer DJM-750MK2, 4-channel mixer with onboard effects. I will be using this new tool to record my future podcasts and shows. I miss some stuff from my previous DJM-850, such as record out and slip roll effect. Anyways, very good mixer for home studio or professional use.
Sound Color FX: Dub Echo, Filter, Noise, Sweep.
Beat FX: Delay, Echo, Flanger, Helix, Ping Pong, Pitch, Spiral, Reverb, Roll, Trans, Vinyl Brake.

Hey how do I map the controller to work with rekordbox as I don't get any signal to control EQ ,only works crossfader and 4 channels
I've just got my 1210's MKII out the loft after 25 years, I'm after a new mixer, will the DJM750mk2 tell you the BPM in the digital display of the record you have cueing up? doesn't make this clear in the manual, its does say the BPM is displayed as 3 digits so how would that be accurate if lets say the BPM was 123.9 bpm ?, sorry for what seem like silly questions as I've been producing music for the last 20 years rather than DJing it.

Hello good afternoon, I bought a djm 750 mk2 table and when I have a track in CUE (so it only comes out for headphones) and apply the color effect DUB ECHO is not sold by the headphones the effect, the other 3 effects if they listen.
That is so, or the table is defective, I consult you to know if to bring it to the technical service. Greetings in advance
@@alfgui Yes,correct, the other 3 color effects work well in the headphones, except DUB ECHO, always talking with the CUE activated, for example I have channel 1 with the volume totally low, but listening to it by headphones, active DUB ECHO and the track is heard but no effect, if you activate FILTER, SWEEP OR NOISE if they are heard.

Hey, can anyone help me, I'm the sound engineer for a club dj set in a couple of days and I was wondering, does using the send output as an extra output (so not for any effects to return) disable the other internal effects the mixer has ?
I wouldn't use that. Take a look at the mixer manual. I'm not sure now, but the send will only work for selected channels with a pre-fader level (there is a dial on the right to select channels 1 to 4, crossfader A and B, and Master, this will send the signal to an effects unit). Therefore, the send does not work as a mixer output. For that you have four options: Master XLR, Master RCA, Booth and REC (fixed level output).
And answering your question, no, connecting anything to the send will not affect the other effects on the mixer. The DJ should select "Snd/Rtn" to use the external unit.
What's the trk playin?
is the sound coming through via your laptop soundcard or is deck A in traktor actual routed through channel 1 on the mixer ? wondering if you could route all four decks into each mixer channel?
Yes, you can route 4 channels from Traktor into 4 channels in the mixer. Every new Pioneer mixer with a soundcard can do that.

Using a USB cable, like the one you use to connect your printer :)
some of these effects are on the pioneer rmx 500 (look it up).....
And some are on DJM-500 as well :)

Hi can you please tell me how you got your mixer running only via midi connection in traktor, I use an external audio card and just can't get it to work... im using the djm 450
Hi, it's not working over midi. It's just connected as a soundcard on Mac/PC, and I'm controlling audio with keyboard and mouse. Just that. I just recorded this video as a simple test.

Thank you for your prompt reply. i can see that you only have a midi cable plugged into the leptop and that you can use the complete mixer with all the effects thats why i ask. maybe I'm wrong, can you tell me how you managed to do it?
@@schalljongleur3851 It's not midi cable. It's USB. The mixer is working on "external" mode with internal soundcard. You just need to route the soundcard channels in Traktor or any other software, and then mix it as you usually do.

@@alfgui what do you mean by that? did you route the deck a to two different outs? I just want to know how can I use this mixer with trakrot to control all 4 decks... i want my setup be only laptop , traktor and maybe drummachine... is that possible?
@@stainlexz It's not the philosophy of this mixer I think. If you want to play with Tracktor I think the xone px5 would be better. The djm750mk2 is more oriented towards rekordbox I think. (I don't have it, this is juste based on info I read online)
If you want Traktor nativ, go with a allen&Heath 96

beat fx is not part of the 750mk2 effects, wonder how you didi it without the presence of this effect
Beat FX are all the effects available on the right side of the mixer. Delay, Flanger, Phaser, Roll, etc.
Für mich hört sich jeder Effekt gleich an. Immer nur Delay oder Echo.

Of course. That's what I'm doing on this video. Not very practical, I would add a Traktor X1, CDJs or Turntables.
