hello!! so i performed in this show and first off its so awesome to see someone react to it, the basic message of this show was mostly based off of our directors upbringing and the reason there are so many groups is that there is normally a singular person amongst the groups to signify not having a place in society among friends family and coworkers, then at the end everyone is together to portray how our coach found his place and his people in colorguard.
On top of them being amazing for middle schoolers apparently most of those kids hadn’t spun competitively until this winter season which is very impressive too for the level they spin.
So… the idea for this show is these kids are so young; these are middle schoolers after all. However, them being so young does not mean they don’t have a voice. They have their feelings and needs and they should be amplified. This show is meant to reflect that mostly with the music, but I admit I’m not the best at analyzing movement.
