The latest edition to our 1200mm span Sub 250g Glider range to compliment the very popular Dune Freak. Our new "Gentile Lady" yes we know it looks just like a "Gentle Lady" That is because it is exactly what we wanted it to look like, right down to the number of wing ribs. We also wanted to keep the same feel for the tail surfaces.
So what is different. Well we have built ours to a projected wing span of 1200mm and uses a modified AG25 airfoil section. This gives us a thinner wing with camber that should not only respond to lift better but give better penetration too.
6mm x 3mm Basswood spars are utilised top and bottom to take the strain of bungee launches and rough handling by beginners.

I had a Gentle Lady back in the late 90's, had a .049 cox engine mounted on a stand that was held on by the wing rubber bands. That little motor would take her up into the thermals with no problem! Seeing this video brings back some good memories, thank you!!

Wow, I built the Gentle lady when I was a kid, and it turned out fabulous, it seemed a bit larger than what you are showing but it was for sure the same body style. Of course this was long before CZcams was around. Im not sure how I even figured it out without CZcams. It was the first thing I ever built and used a heat gun to put the covering on (the skin).

Is this glider only for non-Jews? :-) Been looking and thinking about finally trying a balsa kit.
Think the name was not to offend the original glider build of the 80’s
@@NickChittyFlying I assumed as much. For what it’s worth, I probably would have went with “Genteel Lady” in order to avoid confusion with the biblical term for non-Jews.
Still, a rose by any other name……. I might have to finally take the plunge and start a balsa kit and this may be it. Thanks for taking the time to slowly go through everything for us that haven’t tackled a kit yet. Is there any plan for a power pod on this model?
