    Is there a way to insert content in a new ACF for all already published products?

    • @barn2supportedge560
      @barn2supportedge560 Před 5 lety +1

      Other than doing so manually for all existing products (which I can imagine can be a monumental task if you have a large number of products!), I suggest you please contact ACF support and ask if their plugin has any bulk data edit feature or a way to import the new data that won't overwrite the other existing data fields - or if they might have known workarounds to do so via another plugin.

    I’d recommend „WC Kalkulator” plugin as a free alternative. Plugin has more features and is absolutely free to use. Available at WP respository.

      Hi there! Thanks for recommending your plugin as an alternative to ACF for adding/creating custom fields. We also have our own Easy Post Types and Fields plugin - barn2.com/wordpress-plugins/easy-post-types-fields/?. Thanks!

    May i know ?can we able to filter the custom fields also?

    • @barn2supportedge560
      @barn2supportedge560 Před 4 lety

      Hi, Janaki. It’s not possible to filter by custom field because this is not how custom fields are supposed to be used. We recommend that you store this extra data as custom taxonomies rather than custom fields, as these can be filtered. More details about this are at barn2.co.uk/kb/wpt-filters/#can-i-add-custom-field-filters . Thanks!

  • @johnlevybonifacio1201

    can these fields be used as the values for filtering like product filter attributes ?

    • @Barn2Plugins
      @Barn2Plugins  Před 5 lety

      Custom fields are designed to store unique one-off data, so it's not possible to group products/filter by custom field. If you want to filter, then we recommend creating a custom taxonomy and adding this as a column in your product table instead. Custom taxonomies are filterable and you can use them to create filter dropdowns above the table. You can read about how to set them up in our other tutorial: barn2.co.uk/woocommerce-custom-taxonomies.

    What about displaying a table with custom fields to all products ? i.e by default on the product detail pages of a given category?

    • @Barn2Plugins
      @Barn2Plugins  Před 2 lety

      Hi, Jamie. Thanks for asking. Yes, you can also display custom field columns in the product table (see barn2.com/kb/product-table-columns/#custom-field-columns ). You can also automatically display your category archives/pages in the product table layout using the Shop Integration options ( barn2.com/kb/product-table-settings-page/#shop-integration ).
      Please let me know if you have any more questions. You can also get in touch with us to discuss in more detail via our dedicated Support Center - barn2.com/support-center/ . Cheers.

    Hello I LOVE your tutorials it's the best. I do have a question hopefully it's not to difficult to answer.
    Q: How can I add additional Custom Fields based on the product or product category chosen.
    Eg: In the Edit Product Page for the product "TELEVISION", which cost $300 USD, how can I add additional Custom fields that would each calculate a Total Shipping value based on that product. Eg below
    1) Freight = LxWxH x (weight)= ?
    2) Fuel surcharge = 17%
    3) Insurance = $1
    4) Custom Duties = 20%
    5) Vat = 12.5%
    6) Online Purchase tax = 0.10
    7) Vat on Handling = 7%
    Total Shipping cost: $
    How can I set each Custom Field above with a numeric calculation value that would calculate the total shipping value for that product.

    • @barn2supportedge560
      @barn2supportedge560 Před 4 lety

      Hi, Rudy. Thank you for the kind words! For what you would like to achieve, instead of using custom fields (which won't affect or add to the product price), you should add the data to be computed as product add-ons. E.g. via the official woocommerce.com extension WooCommerce Product Add-Ons. Please see our tutorial at barn2.co.uk/kb/product-tables-woocommerce-add-ons/ and try out our front-end demo at wptcompatibility.barn2.co.uk/woocommerce-product-add-ons/ . Thanks.

    Hi Katie, Does your plugin work on Grouped Products on Woocommerce..

    • @Barn2Plugins
      @Barn2Plugins  Před rokem

      Hi, Glenda. Thanks for your interest in WooCommerce Product Table. I'm afraid our plugin doesn't officially support composite products, product bundles, and grouped products. We recommend adding the use of our WooCommerce Quick View Pro plugin to allow you to add grouped products to the cart from the product table on your site. For details, please see: barn2.com/kb/bundles-grouped-composite/ .

      Hello there. WooCommerce Product Table pulls and displays the exact same WooCommerce product data and so you can import product data to display in product tables by importing it into the WooCommerce products on your site. For details about how to do so, please see: How can I import products to the table? barn2.co.uk/kb/woocommerce-import-products/

    • @barn2supportedge560
      @barn2supportedge560 Před 4 lety

      Hi, Shokoofe. We've provided instructions how you can display the product table on the single product page at: barn2.co.uk/kb/product-tables-single-product-page/
      For what you would like to do, you can take the info in our article and modify it with custom code to place the table exactly where you want it. Please note that this would be a developer-level task and if you don't know to or don't have a developer who can do so for you, then I recommend that you post a job on Codeable where their pre-approved WordPress experts will send you a quote. We have partnered with them to provide plugin customization for our customers. barn2.co.uk/go/codeable

    • @Barn2Plugins
      @Barn2Plugins  Před 3 lety

      Hi, Burooj. If you have the graph as an image or PDF file, then yes you can add/display this either in the product main description column or in a custom field column that displays data from a WYSIWYG (Visual Editor) custom field type. See "How to use custom fields with WooCommerce Product Table" ( barn2.com/kb/wpt-custom-fields/ ) and "Creating WordPress custom fields with Pods" ( barn2.com/pods-wordpress-custom-post-types-fields-taxonomies/#4 ).

      @barn2supportedge560 Před 4 lety

      Hi, Mohit. Thanks for your comment. You can use our WooCommerce Product Table plugin to display the values stored in custom fields that you have added/created for your products.
      I hope you'll understand that the Orders are no longer part of our plugin. Hence for displaying custom fields in the back-end WooCommerce Orders section, I suggest you refer to the official WooCommerce documentation or contact their support.
      I hope this makes sense and helps point you in the right direction. Let me know if you have any other questions.

    Your “insert table” button is comically useless. The least you could do is adding a dialogue box to help users generate all those complicated arguments for your short code!

    • @Barn2Plugins
      @Barn2Plugins  Před 5 lety

      You're right, the button doesn't do much - the most important parts of setting up your product tables is choosing the options on the plugin settings page, which then apply to all your product tables. You can then add the [product_table] button anywhere on your site, either by clicking the "Insert Product Table" button or entering the shortcode directly. You don't need to enter complicated arguments directly into the shortcode because this can be done centrally via the plugin settings page.

    Are you actually kidding me?
    Cheaper, way cheaper to just get the woocommerce product addons plugin from woocommerce themselves.
    $59 for 1 year support and you can add it onto multiple sites.
    You also don't need another plugin to be able to use it.
    This one is way overpriced, way too restricted and way too much hassle to even bother with.
    I wish plugin developers stopped trying to rip people off.

    • @barn2supportedge560

      Hi, Ram Tah. Thanks for your thoughts. I agree that if displaying custom fields in the WooCommerce Single Product Page is all you need to achieve and nothing more on your site, the alternatives are more practical.
      As you can see in our detailed and extensive plugin Knowledge Base articles at barn2.co.uk/kb-categories/woocommerce-product-table-kb/ , WooCommerce Product Table allows you to do so much more on your site. In summary, its price is actually a pretty sweet deal for the value it brings. Check out the user reviews at barn2.co.uk/woocommerce-product-table-reviews .
      Let me know if you have any questions. You can also get in touch with us via our dedicated Support Center at barn2.co.uk/support-center/ .
