You could have heard a pin drop when Lot 280 came up. Excellent work by Simon and his team. My self and two of my good friends are regulars at the Pershore auction and always enjoy it. Great video, now holds world record for highest price paid, beating "Golden Fleace" which sold for £60,000 in 2004.

Daryls Transport videos thank you, and I second your comments regarding the excellent work done by Simon and his team. It was good to see Jack and his dad holding up the iconic plate, just to add a bit of local railway history to the occasion. I do hope the plate remains in Britain.

Simon Turner thank you for confirming the record. It was indeed a magical moment fully appreciated by all present and it was only at the last moment I decided to get out my phone and record it. I do wish I had been able to capture the moment you said “ and now for the main event, what we have all been waiting for”. Thanks again.

Thanks Glen, I had a small video camera Running on the other side but haven't had time to check and edit it yet.
