LYRICS
Hear ye, hear ye,
Friends and romans, countrymen
Hear ye, hear ye,
Punks and folks and journeymen
Hear ye, hear ye,
My sisters and my brethren,
Our time is coming near.
So come ye, come ye
To soulless corporate circus tops,
Come ye, come ye,
To toilet circuit touring stops,
Come ye, come ye
To bedrooms, bars and bunker squats,
The sound is ringing clear
And who'd've thought, after all, something as simple as rock 'n' roll would save us all?
Who'd've thought that after all it was rock n roll.
Hear ye, hear ye,
Anybody could take this stage,
Hear ye, hear ye,
And make miracles for minimum wage,
Hear ye, hear ye,
Our folk songs for the modern age
Will hold us in their arms
Right here, right now,
Elvis brings his children home,
Right here, right now,
You never have to feel alone
Right here, right now,
Teenage kicks and gramophones,
We hold them in our hearts.
And who'd've thought, after all, something as simple as rock 'n' roll would save us all?
Who'd've thought that after all it was rock n roll.
I still believe in the saints
In Jerry Lee and Johnny, and all the greats
I still believe in the sound
That has the power to raise a temple, and tear it down
I still believe in the need
For guitars and drums and desperate poetry
I still believe that everyone
Can find a song for every time they've lost, and every time they've won
So just remember folks we're not just saving lives, we're saving souls and we're having fun.
Now who'd've thought that after all, something so simple, something so small,
Who'd've thought that after all it was rock 'n' roll?

#frankturner #keepenglandinmybones #epitaph - Hudba
how the fock do you give this a thumbs down....even if you hate punk, acoustic guitar, people named Frank....
Haven't seen them live since 2016 and it's killing me!! LOVE THEM SO MUCH. "Guitars and drums and desperate poetry"
Quite possibly the best song of the 21st century. It's certainly very close.
One of the most fun singalong shows you will ever see!!!
One of the best concerts EVER... he was opening act for Jason Isbell in Missoula Montana... Montana didn't know what hit them.
Frank Turner puts on a helluva good show.
I wos there at 2012 opening ceremony but had no idea who he is. Now he is my favorite
well, this song made my day, week, month or even year ... im just sitting here, sippin bourbon and smiling like crazy.ove this performance
Maquina do Tempo podcast bring me here! Cheers from Brazil!
Every time this song comes on i automatically think hey I could so use a beer.
after only hearing of Frank because he is supporting Blink 182....I'm off to that gig tonight and honestly, im more stoked for seeing Frank than anything else right now. BRING IT ON!!! now excuse me, I have to go wait outside a music venue for like 3hrs
Blitz but blink is sick
Blitz Blitz I think Frank got a heap of new fans from supporting Blink 182. Initially i was the only one in our section going crazy but he really got the crowd going.
It's also been said he helped push some venues to a sell out.
The guy is brilliant live, out of hundreds of gigs he's one of my favourites.
Hope you can get along to one of his gigs & keep enjoying his music.
8 years later and fuckin love it
I love this video you can totally tell he's enjoying himself up there.
They can kill us. But they’ll never kill Rock and Roll
Sheer power this song has.
can't wait to see frank and his folks in january. will be epic!
Makes me even more pumped for Reading!
This is the song that got me into his great music. Makes a 56 year old 19 agajn
"Discovered" FT on the Flogging Molly cruise this year and have become a huge fan of his music. Seen him a couple of weeks back in LA at the Wiltern. He is incredible and makes this almost 59 year bald punk feel young and joyous enough to circle the pit a for a few more years! His energy and positivity are infectious and his concerts make you feel like you are at a backyard party with thousands of your best friends.
Rare is the occasion, where the sub headliner blows the main event out of the water. Frank and Co. did that to the Dropkick Murphys in Copenhagen, Vega
Man! That chick is really goin to town on that microphone! :D
Haha! i love this song.
Awesome
Are you going to release this show on Blu-ray? Definitely would deserve that...
Seriously? A cow? That girl is TINY!
Anybody fighting over musical taste clearly doesn't get the point of this song.
Saw him in Liverpool! Fucking awesome night!
Awesome. =D
Qué pasada!!
I'm the one in green near the right hand side at 2:18 :D
Fucking Legend! He was epic in Nottingham :D
Clearly this guy likes Billy Bragg
Francis Baumans
He literally did a duet with Billy in the encore, so I'd hazard a guess that he does
I have that guitar! I was luckily enough to get my mits on it! :)
Dreaded Banter It's difficult to play guitar with mitts on. I would advise using your bare hands.
dat tumbleweed
Who sings the original
Going to see him in dublin . should be sick.
yes i do actually and their music is alot more meaningful and cooler than this carnival circus show
anybody knows what kind of harmonica the girl uses?
3:45 minutes of goose bumps
Who of thought.....
saw you for liem 4-5 years ago when yo supported dropick murphys at Annexet in stockholm soooo fucking amazin soong!!
Like number 666 nicely done :p
Win
electric
i mean what key
Hi
If you don't have a drink in your hand well listening to this you don't understand.
c ool rigt
its funny because i listen to Bring Me The Horizon, Escape The Fate, Falling in Reverse, Black Veil Brides, And Frank Turner. Also music from 60's till now. Michael Jackson, Mumford And Sons, A Day to remember. My iPod is the most musically divers iPod on this channel. I even have really old classical music on there. I just don't get all this useless fighting. The guys that make music don't care about other musical artist unless they had a fight and hold a long term grudge. Music is Music.
House key
"that's why they call me king of the music scene" is meaningful?
Dude, listen to what he sings -.-''
"come on shake your money maker" is totally worth listening to huh?
I have never read such vitriol on a FTHC video on youtube, I guess not all fans are decent people then.
Frank was fantastic at this show, but from where I was sat halfway back it did NOT sound this good, and it was the second time a Wembley show I'd seen hadn't sounded good from halfway back, so I'm sticking to smaller shows from now on.
Yeah if large venues are not setup properly it can totally suck
i am not close minded person when it comes to music. i listen to hardcore music all the way to some pop. so don't tell me im closed minded just because i dont like this guy. show me some good songs i haven't heard an i will take back everything i said on this video
H sharp coca cola special
Seems alcohol is a pre-requisite to enjoying this, While I am enjoying the music and the [although somewhat stereotypical] lyrics its when his voice goes off pitch my spine just hurts a little.
I thought this was a Mariah song 😂😂
Like I just said, I don't listen to him. And neither do you, clearly. So don't talk shit on him.
He's so fucking corny....... And so am I 😭
u obviously havent heard any other songs which is why u say that, like the day i left the womb and cellar door
Damn, are you going to cry or something just 'cause a kid said gay? ahahahahaha
Gay
I instantly can't stand this.
***** well nobody makes you listen to it man :)
aye fook off
PrivateAckbar says the person who listens to static x
It would be easier going through life utterly dead inside I guess.
Great performance until that cow butchered the harmonica solo. Guy in a dinosaur onesie played i better when i saw him!
id like to see you do any better
