Installed this morning on my '23 TRD Off Road. Simple to do, tight and secure. No rattling. Great product. Did it in my garage using a 3 ton jack. Just slightly raised each side, one side at a time, for easier access.Tires didn't even come off the ground.

When installing the rubber snubber using a small screwdriver, make certain to sterilise and sharpen the screwdriver so as to make a clean puncture wound in your hand. Bandaids are also recommended.

Just installed the shields on my own ‘23 TRD Pro. The one thing I did not hear mentioned in the video is that the replacement bolts and nuts are 9/16” and not metric. Perhaps this is a recent change in packaging. Other than that the install went smoothly, less than an hour to do both sides. Thanks for the super helpful guide!

  • @marklynn222

Terrific easy to follow instructions, especially the 2 front bolts. I used a 6- inch C clamp to lower the back of the brace into position to install the 2 aft bolts after seating the front 2. This just eliminates the need to press, hold & attempt to catch a few threads.

    • @yotaxpedition

@@yotaxpedition couldn’t agree more on the bolts 3-5 more threads would have been awesome. Like I said though the C clamp put it where I needed it & held it so I was able to get them both seated well. The kit overall is very solid, well built, fits perfect & if the only complaint is not shipping with longer bolts then in my opinion it’s a great kit.

So I just received my Cat shields, took me 2 hours to put them on but should have taken 1 hour because I ran into huge problems. First off the driver side is right up against the cat, once I got it in it was okay however the edge of the shield is on my traction line both on the driver and passenger side. I wish I could shear photos here. 2 hours of regretting my purchase it ended up great except for the fact that it’s on my traction lines. At least I think that’s what they are.

Sorry for your troubles. Just a reminder, we do not manufacture this product, we only sell it and made an install video. But we will help the best we can. The driver side on ours touched as well. I think CaliRaised is or did make a change on this problem. My best advice is to add a washer between the cat shield and frame to get it away from the cat just enough. But that will require longer bolts (which the bolts that come with it should be longer).

Went to install the shields on my 4runner and had a problem with the Security Hardware. It seems the bolts are not long enough so the threads don't catch no matter how much force I use pushing up. I tried the OEM bolts to see if there was a difference and the OEM bolts wouldn't even catch. There seems to be some thickness with the shield and the OEM brackets that is the problem. I have 2 choices...send longer bolts or I will have to return product, which I'd rather not do. Please advise.
