I've been using my Premiers for almost 3 months now. For maintenance, I use dubbin with a soft shoe brush. After the dubbin is worked in, I let it rest for 24 hours and dry it off with paper towels. The shoes perform and look great!

I use mink oil to do the same thing to my boots and it works fairly well. Thanks for the video Josh, I know a lot of people needed to see this. I've seen people trying to put leather cream on their faux leather finish MV9s and it's just gross.

To whom it may concern: if your leather boots have not been used in a while and are sitting around, you should apply a small amount to the cleats about once a month. You don't need to apply it like you would if you were using them often but just enough to keep them soft for the start of the season. I do this to every shoe that is leather while my outdoor season is not going. So since October to now I have applied leather cream 4 times.

Thanks for your videos, very helpful! I've always been taught that one should put on leather cream even before first use. The main theory behind it, I believe, is to break in the shoe a bit better, and to moisturize it so it doesn't damage that quickly on dry soil. What's your opinion?

  • @djsuperfly

Ive been doing this to my premiers ever since august 2013
Yet ive been applying small amounts of glove conditioner for baseball gloves.
It works WONDERS and definately softens up the leather after i let it sit for about ten minutes and then towell dry it
