Rockman Rumble 2

- At long last, 15 years after the original, 10 years of waiting, nearly a year and a half since production began... and eight months delayed in release,...
IT IS FINALLY HERE.
It has been a bumpy road with many hurdles along the way, including a complete halt thanks to files being corrupted by a forced OS update. And even after all that time, and all that work,... it is still of a low resolution I am not exactly happy with. It was my fault for starting with such a small canvas size... but any larger and the lag and rendering time would have been atrocious.

Bruh, the Slashman ignoring little pause when new challenger spawns and still going for the kills were probably the most hilarious bits.
Heh. The funny thing is, the pause (at least in the original) was primarily just me being lazy :P
Guess he really wants to win that badly, plus Airman did push him into his own little sticky trap so I guess karma had to get him somehow.
Also when Slashman was stuck in his own gooey trap I can imagine him saying Slashman:Well that's great, can someone help me here? Plantman: I gotcha brother. Plantman hits Slashman with his plant shield and Slashman got out, Slashman: Ow that hurt a bit, but thanks anyways. Plantman: no problemo.
@@Wyldboy3124 ROFL nice :D
WELL AT LEAST SLASHMAN DIDN'T CHEAT THIS TIME THAT'S A GOOD THING
After so long, the most satisfying animation ever releases on my birthday!
happy late birth day !!!!
Unironically Plantman had the best plan: camping out and let others do their fight.
Sadly, Snakeman's weapon is literally called 'Search' snake, so...
It's funny because on the rockman rumble 1 plantman only won because was the last one deployed.
i love how he was just hiding behind centaurman
@@HyperJohnua Heh yeah, the only MegaMan 6 masters in the match covering each other
The sadder part has to be that his plant barrier saps ALL of his weapon energy.
@@icenovice That was my way of balancing him so the plant barrier was not too OP. Also it had somewhat of a time limit so he could not keep it up perpetually, and while it was active he would not regenerate weapon energy
Dude, I love the concept of how all the bosses can summon their stage enemy bots. It makes it adjacent to how Mega Man/Rockman can summon Rush, Beat and Eddie. It also reminds me of a real function in technology where a machine can have a master/slave relationship with their assemblies. Good work and concept.
It was based on their abilities from the Rockman Power Battle/Power Fighters arcade games, I just tweaked some of them here and there. Though some had movesets built from scratch, as they did not appear in either game, namely SnakeMan, TopMan, NeedleMan, CrystalMan and ToadMan
Surprising I haven't seen anyone mention how Napalm Man's first action after getting into the arena (besides his intro animation) is dashing straight at Plant Man. Seems like Napalm remembered what happened last time and has a grudge against Plant for it.
I think a couple people have, but its been so long, i cannot find their comments anymore LOL
And the first thing he would probably notice is how much his abilities were nerfed with the new weapon energy bar. Not sure how to narratively retcon that, but its not like there is much actual "narrative" anyway :P
Bro Plantman lasted SO LONG.
Sad the Dream Team didn’t get together again, but this was AWESOME
Absolutely lost it when MagnetMan showed up again
What was the Dream Team?
@@axell15thewispmaster79 Back in the first Rockman Rumble, MagnetMan, ShadowMan and GeminiMan basically teamed up to fight against GutsMan to take him out. Of course, NapalmMan then showed up and absolutely curb stomped them.
@@gamecubechair9066 ah, I see now. Thank you for telling me
But at least Top Man,Gemini Man,and Snake Man went against Centaur Man
@@witheredbonnie9268 dream team 2 & plantman the sequel to dream team 1
Fantastic work! A very worthy sequel! Improved rules and improved entries, too!
See you all in 2030 for Rockman Rumble 3!
tundra man,quint,cold man,pluto,enker,strike man,plug man,search man
Damn, I was so into the final battle that I didn't even realise how obvious the winner would be due to the winner having the loser's weakness. Good job!
and it wasn't even that Snakeman's weapon did greater damage because of weakness, just that his snake abilities seemed to be the perfect counter to all of Geminiman's abilities... and it wasn't even intentional. It seriously just worked out that way, and fit so perfectly :D
@@k1productions87I hella did not expect napalm man to die by stone man.
@@aniluaces149 Neither did I at the time. I wanted him to stay longer, but there came a point where I couldn't have him avoid things without making StoneMan look dumb at the time LOL
You'd be surprised how much of this was essentially animated improv
@@k1productions87 do you plan a mega man X rumble? *RockMan X Battle Frenzy*
@@jamesaaronmiranda9078 It would be considerably more difficult to do, even with just the original sprites. If there is to be a Rockman Rumble 3, it will continue with the original generation, but either with new vector-based art, or 3D.
I can’t believe it’s been almost 10 years since the first one…
yeah
Yes dude.
Yes
One thing I love about these is that everything has such convincing weight to it!
it helped so much being able to utilize motion tweening along with the jump cycles. All I had to do was make sure each jump had a steady slow down going up and speed up going down :3
Harkens back to the "bouncing ball assignment" in Animation 101 :3
This was AMAZING! Everything here was done really well and much more fair, and I like how Plant Man wasn't dominant, but still an active threat.
hehe i worked hard to balance things out and give everyone their moments
You got me at the End. I knew PlantMan would be given some bias, especially when you put him in from the get-go - but he really had a good chance to prove himself! The strategy (a totally Legitimate one, I might add) of hanging back whenever given a break to use his Natural Regenerative abilities was very smart, and well within his Statistical Data to do so.
I thought you'd let PlantMan survive for a fair while before finally going down, but as the Rumble went on, I got more and more suspicious that you were rigging things to have him Win. Those fears became certainty when the Final Entrant came in and you suddenly dropped E-Tanks into the arena for PlantMan, who was about to die!
So yeah, I totally fell for it...
Once PlantMan was out of the picture, it was obvious who would win - Search Snakes _are_ GeminiMan's Weakness, after all...
This was definitely a much better designed match this time around, and definitely much more balanced out to lessen the OP Status of certain Robot Masters (*coughNapalmMancough*). Absolutely awesome battling from Start to Finish!
I appreciate it and always welcome in-depth analysis. I believe I made things a bit too ambiguous in certain cases with the first one, but tried to tell a few stories with this one that would be easier to pick up on, particularly with PlantMan, and I'm so glad so many caught on to it :D
Yeah, there was no way in hell I was having him win for a second time ROFL. But truth be told, I didn't even know who I was going to have win until I got up to like the 2nd to last entrant, and even by that point I had a short list of 3 or 4 possibilities. The whole thing I had played by ear. I honestly felt Napalmman would rock hard for most of the match too, but it didn't quite turn out that way, did it? LOL
I remember watching the original rumble long ago. Im so glad that this one didn't disappoint. What ever you have in store for the future, I wish you the best of luck.
Always great to see Magnet Man return! Didn't take as many names this time around but still my favorite entry.
And finally has his proper theme too :3
Months I've waited since I've heard of it's comeuppance. I've watched the original back then and still today so I knew I wouldn't miss the premiere.
As for the video, every character got their chance and I enjoyed it, and I'm solely glad Plant got his just desserts. I'm not spoiling nothing more, and I'm satisfied with the winner either way.
Thank you for coming back with this rollercoaster of delays, waiting, patience, and nostalgia altogether. I'm so glad you could deliver us with a satisfying conclusion for Rickman Rumble 2.
EDIT: Man, I realized another set of characters didn't get a return like Shade and Turbo, but the final product is still satisfying.
6:44 the 'oh shit' moment
hell yeah this was so worth the wait.
aggressiveness plant's and snake's intelligence and planning, dust man being evasive to keep his distance etc.
the only thing that disappointed me was the fact that air and dust didn't use their wind attack at the same time. miss opportunity
I love how well plant did.
if anyone ever thought that plant won out of luck.
well lets prove them wrong.
makes you really want to root for him
and the details man. characters remembering the earlier fight like dust when he stopped being evasive to rush his killer, also stone who did the same, etc
this was amazing i am so glad that this was finished.
You're AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!
*blush* ^///^
Bro, I love it! The fights were amazing, the new entries got me off guard, and the ending was unexpected. A pure gem for Megaman fans like me.
But now that this is over, I have a few questions to ask you if you don't mind and have the time of course.
Feel free to ask anything you like ^_^
well, within reason of course. Nothing overly personal LOL
@@k1productions87 no worries. Now to the questions:
1) How long did it took you to make this animation?
2) Will you do more fight animations like this one?
3) If you do Rockman Rumble 3, will you add someone like Spring Man into the mix?
(I know last question was a bit personal on my part, but I did ask you that some time ago so, yeah)
@@axell15thewispmaster79
1) if you remove the gap of time in which production stalled, I'd say a solid 8 or 9 months.
2) I am unsure. The updates to Adobe have made further expansions to this particular project unsustainable. I am not against making new ones though
3) If I do a Rockman Rumble 3, one of two things will have to happen:
- a) I will have to re-create the characters in vector art rather than sprites, meaning I could make whoever I wished, including Springman.
- b) I will create 3D models of each character, so I could also include various camera angles to get deeper into the action. And in that case, same answer, Springman would definitely be a possibility. In fact now that I think about it, dynamic camera angles would do wonders for him :D
In the meantime however, I do wish to spend some time on my own projects
@@k1productions87 Well, that will be all. Thank you for your time Mr. K1, for giving us this amazing animation and for making my dream of Springman in Rumble a reality.
Keep going strong, and stay safe💖
@@k1productions87 I think 3d Models would ruin the classig megaman style, but no doubt, they will increase the possibilities of actions and situations.
That was overall amazing I really love the animation and it was just like what I had watched all those years ago I really liked how when Napalm man entered the arena he immediately started to go for plant man overall really great work on this and I hope to see more
cause he knew plant man was over stayed his welcom. i mean 19 MINS!!!! PLANT MAN WTF!
@@klortikterra4423 no, it's because plant Man beat napalm man in the last episode, although I do agree plant Man well overstayed his welcome
Plant Man won last time, leaving Napalm Man in second.
Napalm was simply getting his long-overdue revenge...
Thank you, K1. The quality of this video is beyond impeccable! Keep going strong.
Man, I remember watching the first one years ago, I had no idea there was a sequel in the works! This was so good, I especially loved the results screen. It kinda lets the viewer judge the match by whatever metric they think is most fair. Nice touch!
It is inconceivable that I was the only one who said in my mind “FINISH HIM!” When Gemini Man was unconscious & at 1 health.
to be totally honest, I didn't think of that and I should lol
A good animation would be an understatement, I like this.
This was great to watch. The last bit got me on the edge of my seat. If there's anything I'd have to say for improvements, I noticed you used most/all of the attack animations for most of the robot masters except for Stone Man. From what I remember, Stone Man has that Power Stone attack which was a stone hand that moved forward along the ground to grab you. Was it too hard to add in?
On another note, I really enjoy certain entrances like Slash Man's. I also enjoyed certain moments like how Napalm Man immediately attacks after entering, Shadow Man slide tackling Napalm Man to stop him from moving, seeing Napalm Man's attack get interrupted and Gyro Man's attacks moved diagonally and then in a different direction to remind the viewer that they are fighting in a 3d space (probably my favorite of the bunch).
Looking forward to another one.
leaving out the moving hand was a style choice... it had so little actual animation to it that It just didn't sit well with me. Its something that I would use if/when I remake the characters in vector art or 3D models
That was so awesome!!! I loved every second of it!!! 🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡 Congraulations to Snake Man for winning and to Plant Man for surrving for so long!!!
This guy was a legend back then,‘I hope he is doing alright, he needs a break after these months

A mini rockman rumble where the enemies that the robot masters make fight.
I think it whould be funny and cute
[Even if it never comes true, im still happy that you made a sequel. Great job]
Thank you for making this sequel! It was well worth the wait!
After so much, plantman gets finally taken down from battle, this time Snakeman was the protagonist, he did really well.
Something tells me this guy favors Megaman 3: Shadow Man, Magnet Man, Needle Man, Snake Man, Gemini Man, Top Man
Hmm... guilty as charged lol
The legends will return..
Love the neat little touch of napalmman going immediately after plantman as a nod to how he got cheated out of first rumble
Yeah, that was the idea :D
I wanted to have it go on a bit longer, but it didn't quite pan out that way, so what we got is what we got. It also shows that how well one does is dependent entirely on who else is out and how many there are. Napalmman dominated the last one because he got everyone else out early, and then was largely one on one for the remainder.
@@k1productions87 it's actually truth to wrestling since it was in the first one a nod to diesel from the 94 rumble which really dose add a lot of depth to it.
@@DarkSymphony777 Which is why the Royal Rumble is always an awesome match to watch, as even if its largely the same names in the match, the order in which they come out changes the entire complexion :D
@@k1productions87 yeah, you never know with a royal rumble.
Cut man: while agile, he was limited to simple yet random attacks
Plant man: his indestructible shield and camping was what kept him alive the whole time
Shadow man: versatile and agile, though has trouble dealing with multiple opponents at once
Heat man: had good offense and defense, but was predictable and reckless
Dust man: his slow attacks made it hard for him to keep up with others, with his one advantage being able to suck up any projectile
Slash man: his use of guerrilla tactics and close range attacks made him a tricky opponent
Air man: wide range of crowd control attacks, but little power and speed to back it up
Napalm man: nerfed but effective
Needle man: always on the offensive, which costed a lot of energy when needed
Magnet man: always keeping people on their toes
Stone man: had control over the field, but no increased defense along with little move speed
Toad man: surprisingly more versatile than before and acted as a counter to stone man and other slow robots
Snake man: attacks allowed for attacks from all angles, along with being tactical
Gyro man: flight gave him a large advantage over others
Guts man: another crowd controller, with better defenses
Crystal man: all around attacks, little damage
Top man: good defense, but also predictable
Centaur man: large range of attacks, if only he didn't spend half of the time attacking a met
Gemini man: good tricks will only get you so far
Pharaoh man: like needle man, too focused on offense
Nice breakdown, I love it :D
Yo! Don't forget about to mention the fact that some robotmasters can't run (an issue noticeable when needleman couldn't escape magnetman's special. Also the weapon meter since some like heatman, napalmman, pharaonman, etc. Waste alot of energy too quickly or some of their attacks drain alot of energy.
Holy Hell you actually made a sequel out of it. I remember watching the first when I was in elementary school.
Thanks for making me feel super old, LOL
Just kidding. I'm just glad people still enjoy them
Han pasado tantos años. Definitivamente valió la pena
Cutman: (throws his cutter boomerang at Plant Man, but hits Shadow Man) sorry. force of habit
Shadow Man: i'll show YOU force of habit!
(then the two start beefing while Plant Man watches)
I love how certain robot masters team up with each other like Shadow Man Needle man, and Plant man Centaur man. They literally walked passed each other and protected each other. Makes sense because they are brothers. But some don’t like to team like Magnet Man
Edit: oh no he accidentally hit centaur man 😭
MagnetMan is probably still a bit sore about what happened in the first Rumble, eventually betrayed by GeminiMan (albeit accidentally)
My, oh my. This was amazing! I really like custom sprites you did for the other robot masters (Like Top Man and Needle Man!)
NeedleMan was unfortunately somewhat limited, as he required the most custom work. TopMan had a lot to work with, but I couldn't quite get his run/skate cycle to work the way I wanted lol
thank you for your hard work, this was an amazing video, it was as enjoyable as the first one, good work!
rip plant man, he lasted the longest, he was there from start to the near end, congrats to Snake man (aka bass in a snake costume) for winning the second rockaman Rumble
I just noticed that it takes longer for their energy to refill the lower their health is. That's a really subtle but nice touch.
same goes for health regeneration ^_^
Unfortunatly for me, because of time zones this came out for me at 3:00 am
But now that i'm awake i'm ready tp watch all of your hard work!
I'm glad Pharaoh Man actually got a chance this time.
From the onset, I wanted him to be the final entrant, as his unceremonious elimination from the first one afforded him some special privilege
@@k1productions87 ahem
Looks like someone "Break"s his opportunity on the first Rumble
@@TwinbeeMint I also lost his sprites on the Flash file. If I were to re-import the image, it would have been all blurry and wouldn't match up with the rest. Same reason I had to exclude a few others as well. All the more reason to make new vector art if I want to do it again
It's sorra fun to watch characters try to use certain attacks when low on energy, or team up with their line of RM's. Gives a more alive feeling, and less like they're a bunch of preset animations and more like actual fighters.
This rumble was jam packed!
If there's ever a next one I'd vote Search Man.
If there is ever a next one, I will definitely include some 8, 9 and 10 representation, for sure.
I spent 15 years waiting for #2, and I'm glad to say I'm not disappointed in the slightest
I am happy to hear that. I wanted to make sure it was worth the wait
Well....
Congrats plantman. You have won the longest robot master standing price!
A pot.
But snakeman.....I'm proud. Specially because he is my fav robot master.
This is really well done! The unique spritework, while somewhat trace-y it still looks really unique and it gets to the point of feeling like it's own thing, i like how the characters can have their own expressions and react in silly ways, the defeat effect from the original RMR is real iconic and at a point it just clicked with me from when i watched the animations back as a kid
I like the defeat effect so much better in this one than the half-ass ones I did in the original Rumble :P
Can you do Magnet Man vs Wood Man? Shade Man vs Pharaoh Man? Quick Man vs Top Man? Dust Man vs Junk Man? or Crash Man vs Napalm Man?

Hehe, well, I did that on purpose. First, I wanted him to justify his win last time by actually holding his own for a while. And then solidify the fact he was a chickensh*t heel by constantly hiding in the corner and camping, and then tease at the possibility that he might go all the way.
It also helps that Plantman had the most actual animation to work with
It's nicely done K1 you really did really well on this animation👍😎👍

and I'm so happy that so many are happy about it :D
Man, this brought all the feelings of the original back for me. First off, the animation is so much smoother and at a brisker pace, evidence of how far you've come in animation. The Master choices make sense, even with some odd ones thrown in, but it makes it fun. I thought Plant Man was going to have a much rougher time based on past performance, but he turned out to be very clever, and almost heel-like based on other's opinion of him. We almost have a heel rivalry in Napalm and Plant, and that's kinda cool. Super fun to watch, and just like the first one, I feel like I could watch this five times and get a different perspective just based on where I focus.
On a more personal note...man...You couldn't let my bois Stone Man, Magnet Man, or Top Man get the W? Was kinda Hoping at least Magnet would do better with how much of a monster he was in the first bout. Oh well, third(eventual) time's the charm.
To be perfectly honest, I didn't have an plans for how it would end when I started. The entire time I was just flying by the seat of my pants and seeing what went where based on who was in the ring, how much weapon energy they had, and where everyone was positioned. Stoneman I got rid of sooner because his sprite sheet was very limited, his attacks constantly cluttered up the ring and hampered movement, and it became more of a hassle than anything else.
Magnetman I really wanted to be a beast again, like he was before... but unfortunately it didn't quite end up that way. As I said, seat of my pants animation
Topman was on my shortlist for final victors, which I didn't finally decide on until I was at the second to last entry.
My short list was Snakeman, Geminiman, Topman, and Centaurman... but the last one would have been a little obvious, so it came down to the three from Megaman 3.... you can tell where my bias is :P
Plantman was never going to win
@@k1productions87 Oh, of course not. Sending in Plant Man first was a death sentence. I was just more impressed he lasted as long as he did. I expected a more unified front against him. The way things happened is not "bad" just different and very cool. the fact I could not predict how things would end up is a point in your favor. Plus, Plant Man losing his belt, so to speak, gives him an interesting arc rather than if he just stomped through to the end. Having to decide between rooting for Stone Man or Magnet Man when they were in the ring together was a special hell though ;).
Like I said before, this is going to be one, like the original, that I keep coming back to. There are so many little interactions that between watching the meters and the battles themselves, I could legitimately watch this five times focusing on different interactions, and come away with different perspectives. Truly excellent work, and I look forward to a third whenever you feel like it's time to work on it. i know you have other projects that you're more immediately passionate about, so patience is key.

Skullman was one of my edits, but was incomplete.
Yamatoman was a bit complicated but I wanted to do Knightman
Junkmans sheet was too limited
Awesome job on this! Its even better than the first. I wish Is aw it when it came out but it is still great!
i tried to make up for all the shortcomings of the first ^_^
Man, Thats Really A Good Continuation
Thank you. Aside from the image quality, I am much happier with how this one turned out :D
@@k1productions87 Ur Welcome
obg por fazer o slash man ser um bom lutador espero que ele apareça no rockman rumble 3
THIS NEEDS MORE VIEWS
I couldn't agree more :P
HERE IT COMES
At least Plant Man vs Cut Man didn't end the same way the Bob and George comic did
It’s finally here!!!
Can’t wait!!!
Would be nice to see who did how many finishing hits.
Snake Man deleted like 5 at least
Oh crap, that is the one metric I forgot to have at the end.
Ah my childhood reborn, thank you!
hehe, one of the many goals and intentions behind it :3
Centaur Man was a VERY interesting addition! 👍⭐
Yeah, I was super looking forward to adding him. I tried my best to incorporate both his Power Fighters moveset and his original MM6 moveset
And this is why snake man it.s for me the best
Definitely besssssssssst boi :3
It's gutsman! 13:42
"DA-NAAAAAAAAH"

I’m so excited! But, I might miss the premiere because I’m on vacation.
Plant Man harnessed the essence of Napalm Man from Rumble 1.
REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
@@klortikterra4423 ok
@@DanielAyy why did he last so long? cause he camped.
@@klortikterra4423 ok

Plant man is the one who stay at the rumble and he got some incredible tactics
Slash Man this time does not go up to the roof off screen because last time he was scolded xDd
Guts Man and Gyro Man in the same video?!
Easy 10/10

I am happy to hear that ^_^
ITS ABOUT DAMN TIME
OH MY LORD IT IS FINALLY HERE!
I’M SO EXCITED!

@@k1productions87 Thanks for the offer but I’m gonna wait until livestream finishes, I don’t know why but I just do
@@k1productions87 Just finished watching Rockman Rumble 2 and it rocked my world! It rocked! And yes pun intended.
@@gavinphoenixballesteros3080 I'm happy you enjoyed it :D
@@k1productions87 And I’m happy you made this! :)
plantman was really good in there!
Beautiful video keep sharing !
I share only as fast as I can make things,... which isn't very fast LOL
it would be interesting to see gravity man in one of these
Oh I would have to nerf his abilities SO hard. It would have to be short targeted AoE's, kinda like how Toadman's acid rain clouds were.
Though I could also have similar attacks making an opponent mid-jump crash into the ground super hard, or push rapidly sideways. Lots of cool potential ways to play with it :D
Everyone: How many rounds will you survive?
Plant Man: *Yes*
PlantMan: "I'm going all the way"
SnakeMan and GeminiMan: "NO YOU'RE NOT"
