Small addition to optional rules. Most players I know start the nuzlocke after you get pokeballs for the first time. So technically, you are allowed to lose against the rival and encounters until the balls are only for grinding. Thqt would have saved you some minutes of your life ;)
I have an argument for Ar-kee-us. Silvally is an artificial Arcues, and its ability is the RKS system. RKS. Not RCS. Therefore, you are wrong.
I just pronounce it R-key-us because I think it’s silly calling it an ass even though I’m not British and I think R-key-us sounds cooler than R-see-us. RKS is the nail in the coffin for me to pronounce it R-key-us.
Huh, I always just pronounced RKS as ruh-kus just like pronouncing the letters as one word :/

Platinum is definitely the best way to play gen 4, it has a ton of improvements over d/p, and by extension bd/sp as they are barely different from the og gen 4 at all and still lack the improvements made by Platinum. So I'd say you picked the best option for this nuzlocke, over all.
This was an amazing lock gg. Especially when it came down to the last 3 pokemon your really pulled through with Mew and Walerin.

for the volkner switch, it saw starmie resisted psychic used electrodes bst to calc starmies dmg and saw highest dmg with water gun (gen 4 ai is wierd 💀)

i know its possible to get a starter with 0iv in attack AND 0iv in speed (ok maybe not 0 but extremely low)
meaning it could be impossible to make it past the original rival battle. id rather just call it a flub than have to reset ~15 times until i can gey a starter with sufficient ivs to die slower than the rival

Arceus is pronounced with a hard C. The RKS system made for Type: Null is literally a play on the name Arceus. 🤦🏻♂️

You can pronounce it however you want, but the fact that the RKS system is canon means it's name is supposed to be pronounced with a hard C.
