We have some cool spots but there is a lot of snow here and it would be hard fly them. Plus I am still new in the hobby and flying on the sim when I can. I am around 10 hours right and hope to get to 30 hour before spring hits here.

Hella cool. May I ask you how you managed to salvage the 03 from the head on did it survive. Apex Def for the win. Also no standoffs and only a little prop in the right side how are you mounting it? Does it work because your angle? Hawks always stalking the quads. I got a huge one out back my house that draws out when I fly. Beautiful animal.
Thanks a million Kenny. That O3 is tough as nails. And you KNOW that Apex is tough. I tape my cameras in place using double sided 3M tape. I also run it a little further back for safety. Appreciate you hanging out and watching.
@@PhantomFPV I'm about to re watch your video and freeze it to see your wiring. I'd like to run my power from my Fc and see what happens. I'm using the g4 but I assume can still try the same concept by not using the pin in and use the Fc to power the esc.
@@kennykobi yeah man, I solder a small VBAT wire from the ESC positive pad and run it directly to the VBAT pad on my Ultra. Pretty sure I did the same with my G4. I’d have to confirm there’s a solderable VBAT pad tho. Works great. Haven’t lost a FC or ESC due to spikes in a very long time.

hey phantom hope ur doing good, just wondering why u still stick with 1700 kv motors, have u ever tried higher if so did u just not like the feel?
I’m well, and I hope your are too. I’ve tried other kv’s but felt like this was the best overall performer. I do like the 1900kv’s but unfortunately there aren’t POPO’s in that kv. The other big point is durability and lowend power of the specific motor I fly. Hope that helps. Thanks a bunch! Oh, I really like 2500kv on 6s - now that’s my absolute fave.

Hey phantom wich rates You recommend flor a beginner in freestyle? Could be un actual rates? Thanks
Probably around 500ish to start. As you become more comfortable, bump them up in increments of 50-100. Once you find those magical rates, don’t change them. I’ve been on the same for 3-4yrs now. Helps that dial in movement. Thanks so much and have a great week!
