Absolutely wicked 🤘. You can get ultra high molecular weight polyethylene tape in various thicknesses and widths. Using the sheets in conjunction would be absurdly tough. Just a thought bro 🫡. Good to see another vid

You Need to try 3m scotch polyester tape this stuff is super durable and maybe easier to wrap the battery in

Take the original heat shrink off the battery then add your armor and re heat shrink. This is probably the lightest way.
Aha yes the legend is back with the legit advice. I did this with a thicker electrical tape that worked for me but gonna have to give this tape a try! Hope you're good dude - good to see you still soaring the skies.

Good idea! We use this same material for our Downhill Mountain bike carbon fiber frames. Prevents rock damage 👍👍🇺🇸

Cool video, good idea. I've been using a tpu protector over a year now on each quad and have yet to kill a lipo, but they do get deformed some. Hope this idea makes the hobby better for all the boys, good to see ya posting brother.

I use reinforced shipping tape, and I have not damaged a battery past crushing it. It works wonders.

Have tried any 3 inch quads? Hobby seems to be trending that way, I've thought about heat shrink just the larger diameter stuff is expensive.
Nope but the material can be cut to size. One sheet of 6x6 would likely cover two packs. You could get two 6s packs out of a sheet if you skimped. Thanks so much Jazzz!

How are you usually breaking your batteries? Through friction tearing open the cell when sliding along the ground ? or squishing a cell from a hard impact? I have only ever broken batteries from hard impacts and don't see this helping with that at all?
All the above and I’ve already saved a battery from smashing. The material is so strong it doesn’t stretch so that prevents the pack from expanding. It helps. Thanks so much!
