So black tea is green tea leaves that have been roasted over a fire?

Not quite, it's tea leaves that have been fully oxidised - in this case as a result of being crushed and slept on - then dried

Moral of the story: Black tea smells like sweat, it's just masked with pine smoke

Haha the soldiers tainted the tea so bad the farmers would rather the tea taste like a camp fire .

Camp fire or soldier's sweat? I'm inclined to go camp fire as well 😜
