Lock your doors and bolt your windows as longstanding Gore Metal maniacs, EXHUMED reemerge with their disgusting new album Death Revenge. The band's 6th full-length sees them tread into ambitious new territory with their first concept album; a musical melodrama in thirteen parts based on shocking true events. Death Revenge tells the macabre tale of a series of brutal murders committed in order to sell the victims' cadavers to anatomists, and the grisly underground trade of grave-robbery in the late 1820s in Edinburgh, Scotland. Recorded with producer Jarrett Pritchard (Goatwhore, Hate Eternal, Gruesome), Death Revenge takes the band's signature gore-drenched, death metal mayhem to theatrical and ghastly new heights.

Lyrics:
(In which Dr. Knox makes the acquaintance of Misters Burke and Hare, Resurrectionists by trade)
“The bulk of the work was done at night, using wooden shovels... and a “dark lanthorn” - a device commonly used by burglars: designed to shed light where necessary, but not to attract attention... A hole would be dug at the head of the grave, down to the coffin, and hooks or a crow-bar inserted under the lid. The weight of earth on the rest of the lid acted as a counter-weight, so that when pressure was exerted lid invariably snapped across, and the body could be hoisted out of the grave with ropes.” - Ruth Richardson Death, Dissection, and the Destitute 1987
“The corporation of corpse-stealers, I am told, support themselves and Families very comfortably, and that no-one should be surprised at the Nature of Such a Society, the late Resurrectionists in St. Saviours, St. Giles's and St. Pancras churchyards, are memorable Instances of this laudable Profession.” Anonymous A View of London and Westminster 1728
“Blest be ye man [that] spares these stones, And curste be ye [that] moves my bones” - William Shakespeare's epitaph 1616
Hare: Welcome to our nocturnal vocation
Disembalming we grimly extract the expired
Disinterring by lanthorn illumination
To fulfill anatomists' cadaverous desires -
Dr. Knox: Giving Nightwatchmen fits with the mortsafes you've picked Finding fresh graves to dig, I must say it's a hell of a gig
Chorus: Night work be done, the lifeless made graveless. our prize to be won
Exhumed by torchlight, dead weight dead to rights
This night work, an unholy sight, undertaken tonight
Hare: A livelihood in death we scrape
Your casket vacant, corpse taken forthwith
From our fell spades you will not escape
Second coming ignominious, unclean and sick -
Dr. Knox: Wooden shovels and picks, from your tomb you'll be nicked
Sink to new depths of sick, compunction cut to the quick
Chorus: Night work be done, the lifeless made graveless our prize to be won
Exhumed by torchlight, dead weight dead to rights
This night work, an unholy sight, undertaken tonight
Solo - Matthew Harvey
Dr. Knox: It's a dirty job, finding fresh graves to rob
Solo - Michael Burke
Dr. Knox: These are dirty deeds, six feet of dirt, dug dirt cheap
Solo - Matthew Harvey
Dr. Knox: It's a dirty job, finding fresh graves to ro
Toil as the casket's slaves, death is our living wage
Chorus: Night work be done, the lifeless made graveless our prize to be won
Exhumed by torchlight, dead weight dead to rights
This night work, an unholy sight, undertaken this -
Night work be done, the lifeless made graveless our prize to be won Exhumed by torchlight, dead weight dead to rights
This night work, an unholy sight, undertaken tonight - Hudba
I've always been a diehard fan of Exhumed. They never disappoint. Killer stuff here.
Love how humans learned about our own anatomy . Without these types of dissections of ourselves, we wouldn't be as medically advanced as we are, without the fresh corpse we wouldn't know. This album is going to be badass. Great fuckin song!! Killer breakdowns and riffs
Making me more certain that the pre order was well worth it
Hopefully I can afford to buy the t shirt cd bundle pretty soon
The opening riff sounds like a mix of Slayer's Angel Of Death and Metallica's Ride The Lightning
Dr. Gebimmel and a bit of Raining Blood
Reinaldy Royani Damn I mixed up Angel Of Death and Raining Blood 😂
Dr. Gebimmel thank you u answered my question with raining blood
Absolutely..Thats what I was thinking as well..
no,it's at dawn they sleep riff.
The two vocalists one on top of the other sounds so sickeningly evil! Really, really love that combination, and how during the verses the double kick drums lay off a touch. It makes it that much more brutal sounding when they come back. Top-fucking-notch songwriting here. Can't wait for this! \m/

Another lovely tribute to Dr Knox and his associates, Messrs Burke and Hare.

I recommend watching The Body Snatcher starring Boris Karloff, which is based of the Burke and Hare murders, which is what this video is based off of. Karloff's best performance

The song starts with a Slayer riff and changes in the middle to Massacre (short riff like RickRozz)... Sounds like a metal voyage!

Just heard this today, hella sounds like mike beams on the lows! I miss that guy!
I love this
Suena epicardo😻
Were they always this groovy? I'm loving this but I don't remember the stuff of theirs I'd heard before being quite so ear-catching as this. I fucking love the riffage in this song.
any recommendations for songs from their older work I should check out? somehow they never made it into my OSDM collection.
the song death walks behind you is a good place to start!
The first album "gore metal". It was produced well with great sound quality and is a really great album. They steppped on the scene like a bomb! It was also a pretty bass and groove ladden album that will put subwoofers to the test. The second album "slaughtercult" was not that great, at least to me and that is my opinion and nothing else. "Anonymity is Destiny" brought a cleaned up sound that helped regain my personal interest, so it is an album worth checking out as well
The track "Dysmorphic" of the album "Decrocracy" check it out!! 🤘🤘
Jason Wongraven "necrocracy"
tenobles don't get me wrong "gore metal" is a great album but production err all lows and highs, sounds like guts hitting floor, splat and thud, which is if thinking in those terms brutal. Where as "something sickened.." split was all mids. They honed their sound on "all guts". Anyways I love all, every track, every album, every split! All IMO of course, cheers!
One more brutal single!!!!
Super
Exhumed necro gore death metal.f.t.w.
