One of Death Metal's biggest bands, DYING FETUS return with their highly anticipated new album, Make Them Beg For Death. Recorded in Baltimore with longtime producer Steve Wright and mixed by Mark Lewis (Cannibal Corpse), Make Them Beg For Death contains every DYING FETUS hallmark. The veteran Death Metal band’s ninth album is fast, intense, and brimming with unstoppable grooves.
Monstrous riffs, blast beats, unstoppable hooks, and earth-moving grooves define their catalog. “We put our own twist on Death Metal,” explains co-vocalist/guitarist John Gallagher. “We were like most bands, starting in the garage, drinking beer, having a little fun on the weekend, finding the right amps through trial and error. We blended aspects of bands we liked - Suffocation, Obituary, Deicide, and Cannibal Corpse, among others; the dual vocal approach of Carcass - and made them our own. ‘Let’s make it moshy, let’s make it slammy.’”
Make Them Beg For Death delivers savage beatdowns equally designed to pulverize and mesmerize. “It follows on from where Wrong One To Fuck With left off,” drummer Trey Williams promises. “We don’t need to participate in the technical death metal arms race. We’ve got the big guns, and we’ve proven that. It’s all about pointing them in the right direction, so to speak.”
To the men of DYING FETUS, the mission is straightforward. “The philosophy is the same now as it was when the band started,” Gallagher confirms. “To write catchy riffs and to make it memorable. Whatever style of music you’re doing, make it something people want to hear repeatedly.”

This album slays. Dozens and dozens of killer albums this year, but this hits especially hard. Every song is memorable in its own way, that’s Dying Fetus for ya. Another strong addition to their discography, long live Dying Fetus.

I absolutely love this. Dying Fetus always comes out with some of the best music I've ever listened to. Legendary band with some of the best minds in the industry combined make incredible things. I beg for more!
Dying Fetus will forever be remember as one of the best death metal band to ever exist for sure they never dissapointed and they reach the Legends level already for me! 🤘
I love riffage that picks you up and throws you across the room, Dying Fetus are full of them.
The grooves on this go so hard. Undulating Carnage and Raised in Victory, Razed in Defeat are probably my favorites on here.
Blast beats never seemed to interest me that much. But Dying Fetus make it so easy to listen to. A brilliant blend of death metal and grindcore with a tiny bit of hardcore at times, if you ask me. Again this album is an absolute masterpiece and a 'smörgåsbord of pleasure' to blast out of my speakers. Well done!!

this is a perfect album a modern classic
I usually stay away from this more modern approach to brutal death but these guys never fail to deliver totally crushing grooves and I am a BIG sucker for groove
I'm going on 38 now and been rocking with Fetus since I discovered them in high school.. Was one of those revolutionary bands that really set a new precedent for the metal scene.. Always been at the top of the list for me.. Never disappoints and always packs that satisfying punch 🤘Thank you to the Fetus family.. You got a keeper over here..

Destroy the Opposition was the last album of theirs I even listened to (and I loved it). I've been digging this new album enough to want to revisit the albums I missed in between. I have a lot of homework ahead of me haha.

Randomly stumbled on this, made my fucking day. Hooked on DF from the day I've heard them. Saw them live....top notch quality.
This is SO well done. I mean like everything is perfect. Some killer riffs in there very tastey, and the drumming is so complementary to everything else. Just sick.
Saw fetus 12+ years ago in Richmond, VA. Saw them again at ace of spades in Sac yesterday, they've only gotten better. It's crazy.

Dying fetus is one of those bands someone not normally into metal could like along with a music snob, genial.
Its funny, as similar bands were too extreme for me, but Dying Fetus hits the spot... and they are as brutal as thet get. Genial indeed

Damn, standard C# hits so hard. You don't need drop E or 579 string guitar to be brutal, just a brillant way to write riffs and a fking good rhythm section as backup.
I'm studing their riffs and Gallagher is an awesome musician, very fast and complex riffs. He also sing meanwhile, so double awesome.

He is a genius, too bad Dying Fetus isn't as respected as Cryptopsy or Suffocation in creating brutal death, I think they are a lot more melodic and creative than those bands that only can be brutal by being cacophonous and loud.

If this band ever performs live near you, do yourself a favor and go see them. Trust me.
I saw them two years ago. I've been to 9 concerts since and it's still the best show I've ever attended. Had the biggest smile on my face head banging the entire time

Its soo grovy that you can actually understand how creative and open minded the musicians are. The most thing I love this band is how they add so much music elements and still be easy and groovy to listen. Also, I really like the Progressive elements in this album, it slaps and is way better than most bands out here in the genre.

Finally got around to listening to this today, thats a really strong showing. I just get the feeling the band are still in love with this, the riffs and vibes are so good. Think I'm gonna be getting to know this one a lot more
I was getting to the point of "enough, already" with veteran death metal ( remember when DF were categorized as "Wigger Slam"?), but this album kills. No resting on laurels here.
